They lied to me about my reservation for over a month, I kept asking them if my truck is going to be ready one month before the pick up date, and keeps visiting them every week to confirm my reservation. A day before the pick up date they still told me that my truck is ready for tomorrow. Well is was not!!! This is not even the half yet. So, he tells me he found one 10 foot truck 9 miles away for me at above location in 420 Alamo Ave, Weed, CA. So I call them to double check that info, they tell me NO, they don't have any truck like that, So as you see the lies just keep on coming from U-Haul Mount Shasta location. Later that day I learned that he gave my 10 foot truck to another customer who was driving to a further away destination. I wanted a Kubota. The "local" Kubota dealer (40 mi away) was my 1st stop. I gave them my parameters and my budget. Over 2 months they gave me quotes that were too high and not close to what I wanted. They weren't truthful with me and tried to only sell me what THEY had in their stock. I was driving north on Inst 5 with my wife, discussing my frustration when she said, "... well, are they the only Kubota dealer?" On a whim, she Googled Kubota dealers near me. Up popped Nor Cal Tractor Sales ... (these guys are all part of the same company) ... in Redding CA and they were 10 mi ahead and right off the highway. We walked in, dressed for "Lake Time" and their sales rep (Kris B) was immediately accommodating. I told him my saga and what I had been looking for. Model numbers etc. That's where I learned I'd been misdirected. Kris pointed out the models I was asking about were older and no longer available. They didn't even have them in their rental fleet any longer. Then he showed me the new model ... the one the other guy told was so new they couldn't even get one for 6 mos. ... he had 4 of them. I had given him my budget already, remember? He came in $4k under!!! Then ... cherry on top ... he delivered it for $200!!!

For a…read moresmart equipment rental business owner this would be an opportunity to make money off of a $5.5 million project. But instead, this guy made sure I don't come back. First, he charges me twice the delivery fee as everyone else in the area. Then, his driver drops off the backhoe a mile away from the construction area and doesn't even call to say its there. I have a crew on the clock sitting around waiting for 2 hours. I finally call in to see where the backhoe is and with a rude tone he tells me its dropped off. No apologies for not calling when I specifically asked to be called by the driver. This is a CAT backhoe I rented. I have a 25 year CAT operator on this job. As he gets on the backhoe, the joystick settings are in John Deer mode which is the opposite of CAT operations. The manual was for a newer CAT and did not have the correct instruction on how to change it to CAT mode. I called in to get his help and he offered no help. Unfortunately we only managed to get a little work done since the CAT operator had to work in reverse mode. No compensation offered. Monday morning I sit and wait for the driver to show up to get the backhoe after I get a call from them saying to bring it back to the street. After 2 hours of sitting and waiting, I called to see where the driver is and he says, "we'll get there when we'll get there". The following day I call to see if he has refunded the deposit and he said he has not yet checked the backhoe. He said he was on his way to do it now. 2 days later, still no call and he does not answer his phone. Take my advise and DO NOT RENT HERE! Its time to teach this old timer how I deal with guys like him. The charges are disputed and I will hire guys to stand outside his entrance with signs that say don't rent here. I will not let this jerk continue to do rip good folks off.

I figured the first time was just an employee having a bad day so I didn't hold it against them. The 2nd time, still very disappointed in every aspect of my rental. The guy helping me load my tiller was not only rude but it was clear he had no idea what he was doing since I had to show him how to start it. This is something I've never experience at United Rental in Medford. It took me 45 minutes to pick up a tiller when there was only 1 other customer there. Unacceptable. When I told the manager, he acted like it was normal and said "he must have been having a bad day" and smirked at me. When dropping it off after my rental, I had to unload it myself since nobody was coming out to help. It's a rag of an operation. I warn you to stay clear especially since there are 2 other equipment stores in town. Whatever you do go to either Halversen's or Power Pac before you ever consider Bullet. I know I'll be avoiding them like the plague.
