I hired this company to clean and reseal the grout in my kitchen and three bathroom floors, as well as replace the caulk in my master bathroom shower, clean the shower, apply color seal to the grout lines, and color seal the shower floor. The total cost was $867. Unfortunately, I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the work. There were noticeable errors outside of the grout lines, and whatever was applied to the shower floor and walls began to break down after the very first use. I am still seeing missed spots along the grout lines in the shower--something that should be a straightforward and thorough process. The owner did return once to address some of the issues and committed to coming back a third time to complete the job. While the corrections made resulted in minimal improvement, I have not heard back from him to schedule the promised follow-up visit. If I had the time, I would pursue this matter further, but I do not. Instead, I feel it's important to caution others who may be considering this company for grout work in the Hampton Roads area. The individuals seemed pleasant and professional, but the workmanship did not meet the level of quality I expected or paid for.

When we realized the floors were severely damaged we called Marblelife at 9 PM on a Thursday night. I expected to leave a voicemail, but Hobie answered my called! We sent him pictures and he came over the next day! He completely restored our tile and it looks as if its brand new again! I cannot even tell it was ever damaged. Not only did he come out the very next day to do it when he had a cancellation, but he did it for $3,000 less than the other company had quoted me. Stamped concrete area in our photos is 17x20 feet with an 11.5x7 foot grill area off shoot. His crew was extremely efficient, job start to finish was two days. They even made sure no concrete was on my fence from the pour and that the dirt filled in around the edges of the pad. I am extremely happy with this company and the beautiful stamped pad they put in and will be contacting them for any concrete we need in the future.

The head installer arrived late after the team, walked in, looked at my boyfriend (the home owner) and walked right past and then asked who the homeowner was, which was rude. 3. We were told not all the rooms were going to be finished because the head installer has to leave early so he can play in his band that night.. IM SORRY WHAT? 4. They completely forgot part of our order, the LVP we ordered as well was never written down and the installers had no idea about it. I called the owner Ed and he says he did not write anything down on our file about an LVP (after my boyfriend and I went to the store and picked it out the same appointment where we picked the carpet). 5. Ed then said he found the file in his truck. Told me he would get back to me about where that is and when that could happen.. HE NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. 6. The installers did not clean ANYTHING up. The carpets had loose carpet thread debris all over it, they left a pile of scraps in the bedroom, our floors were littered with carpet threads. WE had to clean up THEIR mess. We were told someone could come the next morning to clean (because the guy Yogi had a show to play that night and couldn't come back to clean).. No, we needed it done then so we could move our furniture back. 7.They did not cut out the carpet for one of our bedroom ac vents correctly, I had to go back and cut the carpet so the ac vent would lay properly. 8.They were rough with our furniture when moving, I had to walk back and ask them to be more careful and watch them move the rest of the furniture. 9. The installers ate some of our halloween candy, (which is fine), BUT NOT when you leave the wrappers on OUR floor for US to clean up, and let's not forget their empty water bottles. 10. Head installer Yogi was rude, showed no manners or professionalism and rushed to leave without cleaning up so he could go to his show later that night. I asked him if he would like a drink.. he replied "um yeah water" like I was dumb for not knowing that... THEN when I went to hand him his water he replied "just put it over there". NO thank you, no manners. 11. Spoke with Ed about all problems and he took $50 off our final price.... which in my opinion is nothing compared to the inconvenience we went through. He seemed apologetic at first, but showed his unprofessionalism as well. 12. That all was last week, fast forward to yesterday, I texted Ed about the update on our LVP, he never got back to me. I texted him today, and he called me saying he will not do our LVP until we pay him for carpet. I explained how we don't want to pay for everything until our whole order is finished (LVP and instillation). He threatened to take me to court, put a forbidence on our house and started MOCKING me. A grown man mocked me lol, what professional person does that? He also told me he has no reason to talk to me and does not want to talk to me anymore.... He has still YET to schedule the LVP installation. 13. The estimate we got was completely wrong and charged us for more work than they had to do. That people got fixed. 14. We were told the secretary would contact us for the date of installment & we had to track her down. This company had great reviews and we were REALLY let down with the experience we had with them. They were also booked to do our hardwood, NOW we are going someplace else. WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! If I could rate 0 stars I would. They did a good job installing the carpet,(minus the vent issue) however, the installers and Ed were so unprofessional and we ran into more problems than we could have imagined. Never again!

Dan is super professional, an amazing communicator and does not mind taking extra time to discuss unique requests and how to achieve the result. He kept it within our budget but because of the borders it still has an upper quality air about it. Another plus is that the HOA neighborhood ultimately benefits too if you consider that the new driveway increased our home's value. Cons: I had to wait 3 weeks because they were backed up by the time we decided to move forward but Dan had them start a few days earlier than scheduled so my wife was happy. Their crew were respectful and tried not to gunk up our grass but it is almost impossible when the ground is soft and huge machinery is moving about. Roofing Recommendation for Neighbors…read more Just wanted to share a good experience in case anyone nearby is thinking about getting their roof checked. We recently had our roof replaced by Ventura Home Remodeling Inc., and they did a great job. Rafael Ventura (the owner) was personally involved the whole time along with his brothers, Jose S. and Jose E., which I really appreciated. It wasn't one of those jobs where the owner sells the project and disappears. What started as a normal shingle replacement turned into a little more once the old roof came off -- we found some water-damaged decking and even a squirrel entry point. Their crew handled everything professionally and made sure the roof structure was solid before installing the new shingles. Their pricing was very competitive, but they didn't cut corners. The crew worked hard, showed up on time, and cleaned everything up when they were finished. One thing I learned through this is that 20+ year old roofs can hide a lot of problems. Ours was worse than we thought. If you're wondering about your roof, it might be worth having Rafael take a look. He offers a free evaluation and gives you a straight answer. The team also did some excellent work with stamping highlighted areas on the driveway and on our sidewalk that wraps around the front of the house. They also built a crushed concrete driveway all the way around to the back of my property and around my barn. With that amount of work, there were a few anomalies that cropped up, but they were resolved to our satisfaction. Good team, good work - give them a call.
