Engaged this team to refinish the island in a high-end kitchen that had never been done right since building the home. Nikita's attention to detail borders on obsessive, a ready indication of the pure passion with which he embraces his work. He carefully removed the previous finish so as to not compromise the veneer panels & hardwood doors, devoting the needed time to an immense amount of handwork. After the application of the custom mixed base coat that he and I agreed was the optimal patina, Nikita brushed the transparent white stain with the patience of a true artist, constantly altering the direction of the strokes to achieve the desired effect.
The kitchen island absolutely glows now, with a three-dimensional transparency that draws out the beauty of the rift sawn grain never realized before. I am thrilled with the end result, so much so that Nikita @ Furniture Restoration has been commissioned to refinish the two banks of kitchen casework on either side of the island.
