Nonsense insults were hurled at me the entire time. He said that he could "kick my ass", and threatened to throw a TV down the stairs at me (see picture 2!). Then, when the police arrived, he told them I had assaulted him. I captured the entire interaction on video and was quickly able to prove him wrong. I did not receive my computer back until 6 days despite being told this would take 2-3. Get a work ethic, get your shit together, and learn to act professional.

A pro and a con for KD Engineering…read more Pro: When my partner spilled coffee on my laptop and it died, they were able to retrieve everything from the hard drive, and were able to get the computer working again. The laptop lasted about 5 more months after the accident. They warned me that once liquid is inside the computer that it would eventually die, but I was surprised at how long it lasted before finally shuffling off its mortal coil. Con: The keyboard came back slightly warped from the drying process, and one of the keys was missing!

I was unfortunate enough to spill sparkling raspberry juice on my laptop the other day. It went all over the keyboard, dripped down onto the table, and even seeped under my computer. I left my laptop upside-down and open (in a ^ shape) on a towel to drip the excess liquid for 3 days before calling K D Engineering. He suggested I should have brought it in sooner, but with his experience with all kinds of liquid spills he was confident he could still help. After bringing it in, he opened up the computer and cleaned away any dried juice with an alcohol cleanser, which solved 99% of my problems. For the last 1% he noticed a broken piece of plastic in my computer that was the cause of my other usb port not working for years! He had my computer back in working shape in a matter of a 2 days and I am very happy with the results! When discussing the price, they were more than reasonable. They also were careful to make sure I was comfortable with the quoted amount and I definitely felt I was given a fair price. The store may be small, but they saved my computer and I am incredibly grateful. My computer was returned to me in complete working order with no missing or broken pieces.

I had apple care on my mac but was still worried that they would charge me (a broke collage student) lots of fees for repair. However they were able to get it fixed within the day and only charged me the apple care rate. Charles especially was the reason for the quick turnaround, even during the time of part shortages. He was very helpful & knowledgeable. Everything was great. Then I went to the Geek Squad area to see about getting my old data transferred to the new computer. The fellow wanted me to leave it for 2-3 days. I said no way! When I bought computer direct from Apple in the past, they would transfer the data.....instantly right after the purchase. I called Michael and explained our problem. He recommended a particular router, which I found on sale through Amazon. When the new router arrived, I called Michael and he came to our house the next day and helped me set up and configure the new router. Took about 40 minutes. The new router works great and is a big improvement over what we had. And the total cost was much less than I had anticipated. We're very happy.
