I'm an avid gamer who, from time to time, enjoys playing ancient games. I've tried Replay'd couple of times for purchasing retro games (NES, Genesis, Atari2600). They have a good selection and staff are informed about old schools games and consoles. I've compared their prices with ebay and Replay'd beats almost all listings for the games I was looking for. If I ever feel blue, if the sky is dark and nothing goes right, I take a walk to Replay'd and emerge myself into the sea of games, pic something like Truxton for genesis and go home. And you know that Truxton dominates. There is no problem that Truxton can't fix. Anyway, If you like games and you don't like big chains who rub you blind and leave you high and dry (like gamestop, run from it, as fast as you can) this is the place to go. Gaming industry is undergoing big changes, and gaming as we know it might not live long. Soon the new-gen consoles will be streaming boxes delivering game to you. No physical game with a tangible value. Just a digital code to redeem the game. And when those servers go down, that will eventually go (take a look at PS1 PS2 servers for example) you won't be able to play your games anymore. Running a game store is not easy these days. I recently had the experience of dropping my iphone (that has a screen protector on it) and still getting a cracked screen. I wanted to get it fixed, and Replayd offered the best price for what sounds like the same service that everyone offers (to replace the screen.) I went in, the staff was friendly and they replaced my screen within 30 minutes or less. I was pleased. Later that night, I noticed that I was typing many typos (more than I normally do) when I was texting my friends. As soon as I noticed it, it was as if that was the only thing I could see on the phone. It literally does not take in some letters at random times in the day. The letters "A" and "O:" as welll as the back space button were the most frequent culprits. I contacted Replayd and they told me to restart the phone. I restarted it, still had the same issue. They told me to give it a "factory reset," and that did not work either. Finally, I made my way back there to show them what was wrong and they told me to spend more time with it as it might fix itself. It never did, and I realized that I wasted my $80 going there. Note: If you guys get a cracked iphone screen, dont do what I did. Go to Apple and have them fix iti. You pay more but at least your phone works the way it was intended to work... read more

I haven't been here regarding cell phones, however, I come by to browse for video games. The store has an impressive stock of recent games and older games as well as consoles. The prices for pre-owned recent games beat the prices at Gamestop so if I'm looking to buy games on the cheap, I'll stop here beforehand. The store carries games for pretty much every console, so this place was my first stop after I acquired a Super Nintendo at a yard sale. They also have a Sega Genesis on display and the playable games often change which is a neat factor. The staff have been nice every time I've been in, and if you want to browse the cabinets full of NES, SNES, and Genesis games, you just have to ask. So come here often and you'll never know what you'll find. read more

The Staff has always been nice whenever I come into the store, they seem like good people, they keep the store clean and will fix scratches on your discs when you buy them. Now I have gone in quite a few times as I live right down the street, Found a few deals here and there over the three years I have lived here. Here is the thing though, I have dropped some cash on a few games from one of their Glass cases and its been quite some time since you saw new items in the case. I have actually been back about five times now and there looks like nothing new has been added, this is within a 3-4 month period. -- I find one of the problems is that with the items in cases they do not rotate them; back to front. You cannot see the games in the back but they are there. All the games such as Sega genesis and many other games; etc have price tags on them but most of the tags are on the fronts of the boxes but you can only view the games from the side; thus no visible prices. If they are busy its rather hard to get them to open the case, but they will if available. Games vary, depends on what you are looking for, You will see a ton of multiple copies of some games especially on the Super Nintendo and Nes. Others like the Playstation 1 do not seem to have many or any RPG's available. Prices go up and down randomly, I think with most stores they use eBay as a reference point but they lower the price a bit underneath it. Its a nice store, friendly people. Perhaps fix the price tag issue to make more visible to customers, especially people like me that are always on the go during the day. read more

Don't go here! The manager was awful and really, really mean. I came for a phone repair, which took forever and ever, and while everything looked all well and good, it fell apart after a week. When I came back to see if they could look at it again, the manager completely denied responsibility and loudly repeated "it's all your fault" to me a bunch of times then tried to charge me another 50 bucks. I came here to get my first generation Samsung galaxy fixed after water damage. I was told the phone was not salvagable but offered a new phone with a 1 year warranty for $70. 2 months later, the charging phone on this $70 phone broke. I came back to replay'd, but was told that I had to pay another $30 to get the phone fixed, because the warranty "did not cover physical damage." WTF??? This was not mentioned to me when I was specifically told that the warranty would cover any issues I would have with the phone. To add insult to injury, when I came back to pick up my phone after paying an additional $30 to get it fixed, I was rudely told that they "weren't able to fix it," then offered a new phone... sound familiar? Bottom line: 1: they will push worthless warranties, and 2: if you are looking for people who actually know how to fix anything, go somewhere else. read more

I took my brother's broken PS3 here for a disc repair. It cost $100 and had it back in almost a week. Customer Service was good, no complaints, and picked up two older sports games for ps3 for $1 each. So far no complaints! I hope I don't have to update due to it not working or continued problems because I have not tested myself yet but I am going out on a ledge here! read more

Let me know that a game was slightly damaged. Even gave me the option to take it now and return it if it didn't work. Super nice. Great staff. Also they have such an amazing selection. I'm writing this review on my MacBook Pro, which I dropped off at Replay'd when they opened this morning. The "o" key was no longer working, and that's a pretty critical key! (How many times will it be used in this review alone? Oodles.) I came with the correct part, they swapped it in and had it back in my hands at closing time. Compare that to the Apple store, who wanted to send it away for more than a week and charge more than the computer was worth. A+ on price, speed, job and motherboardside manner by Andrew at the front of the house. I trusted them with the keys to my business, and they got me back up and running before the work week begins. This place is awesome! It's one of the few retail stores still trading in Playstation 1 and 2 games, as well as original factory controllers. Those who have tried using aftermarket analogue controllers on games which require a high degree of precision already know why cheap aftermarket and counterfeit controllers just don't cut the mustard. I got a great deal on a PS2 controller in good condition, and their used merchandise carries a 1-year warranty. Plus, the resurfaced a damaged DVD which didn't play before, and now it plays perfectly, although they also said that if the first resurfacing didn't take, they'd do it again at no extra charge. I'm glad I found this place, and that there are still places like this that exist. read more

They had the best price for screen repair and were really quick with the repair! Also seemed like nice, knowledgable guys. I'd definitely go back- but I hope I don't need to! Updated and review changed: a few months later, my phone fell from the couch arm to the carpeted floor (not far!) and the screen stopped working entirely. I had to take it to the Apple store who told me WHY it was so affordable. They did not seal the edges or use quality products. I ended up having to buy a whole new iPhone. Upsetting since I was so happy with the experience at first! I guess when the price was too good to be true, I should've known! read more

Since my last review, I bought a used cellphone back around the end of July. It is now just about October and the phone is still running awesome and I've had no problems, except that I could not set the voicemail up to my own number (I'm not good with technology) and when I took it back they fixed it within minutes. The staff definitely knows a lot about the different cellphones and how they will work according to your carrier and plan. They let me spend about 30 minutes debating between 2 that was just about the same phone. They also have a small discount if you have a student ID. read more

Don't get your IPhone screen fixed here!!!! Decided to step inside this store because they offer the cheapest prices, but left with a screen half unglued. The owner (big guy with a beard) apologized and offered me a replacement when a new shipment came in. While traveling, the half unglued screen cracked. When I returned to get a new screen they declined a repair unless I paid for a new screen. I decided to not throw more money at them for a screen that would likely unglue again (they blamed my bent iPhone for it, although this was never mentioned the first time). While waiting for my screen to get glued down, the owner came out to settle an issue with another customer. This escalated to him acting like a thug and threatening to throw a phone and get "REALLY ANGRY" at him. No matter what that customer did, the last thing that a business should do is have the owner come out to verbally threaten ANYONE. My phone was left with glue around the edges, a brand new crack where the clamps were placed to hold it down and a home button that is not in place. read more

This review is based on a few visits, always with me as the browser/buyer. I haven't tried selling anything yet so I don't know how their buy-back prices stack up. That being said, this store is small, to the point if you're not actively looking for it you might just end up going right past it. However, it's what's inside that counts, and Replay'd has a good amount going for it. If you want a used cell phone or some other techy device like a GPS or Google TV, they've got a pretty decent selection. Of course, I come here for the video games. From old-school Atari & NES to PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, their wide array of offerings truly span the ages. Hell, they've even got a Neo-Geo AES. I ended up buying Moonwalker for the Sega Master System and Adventure Island 2 & 3 for the NES, all boxed & mostly complete (AI2 didn't have a manual), for a pretty reasonable total! Prices on older games are pretty good, especially for being in the city. Oh, if you're a student you get 10% off for showing your college ID, too. Cool beans. My dealings with their staff were always great, too. I dealt with three different people during my visits (young guy with dyed pink hair, young college girl and taller bearded guy), and they were all super-friendly & helpful when I had questions. Got a great service from these guys regarding my iPhone 3GS restore. I took my phone overseas and tried to restore and unlock over there but that didn't work. That left my iPhone in a restore state and there was nothing I could do. I went do Replay'd store and they restored my phone to locked version of AT&T and now the phone is working flawlessly. Feeling a ton of anger after my visit to Replay'd. I wanted to sell my Bluetooth speakers and Patrick, a sales associate, told me that 6:30pm was the cutoff time to do so. I rushed to the store after work and arrived at 6:30pm on the dot. Unfortunately, by the time I could find Patrick it was 6:32 or so. He told me there was nothing he could do for me because it was the law that they couldn't buy items past 6:30pm. I was in a pretty desperate situation and I'm now in kind of a bind financially. I felt no empathy coming from him and so I'm giving 'Replay'd' 1 star because it's the only legal way I can express my anger right now. read more

They ordered the part in quickly and allowed me to do everything without ever coming into the shop. I mailed in my phone, paid online, and they mailed it back out to me. They will mess up Touch ID on your iPhone do not go there. After that they will tell you that need a new home button because your screen was broken all the way down to the home button. The new screen works perfectly. So I guess they did do something right! read more

After an exhausting search for a place where they could resurface old DVD movies and CD's (which I couldn't believe was so hard to find). I went here with not only 3 DVD's, 6 CD's but also 2 video games (my son's) and I walked away with older movies, music and the games all working like new again. They charge two bucks per disc but since I brought in so many at once thay game me a good deal. They also sell refurbished LCD TV's and monitors and just about any electronics, i.e; video game consoles, vintage gaming consoles and accessories, iPads, smartphones, GPS units etc. (all refurbished of course) they even include warranties. What I liked best about this shop is they don't treat you like you are and idiot for not being too tech savvy like other places I've been to. They have cool retro stuff n64 ps and what not that's the best thing about this place. The prices for the games aren't bad but the amount they give you for an exchange or to buy the game from you is too low. Also I recently bought a Xbox 360 controller and the told me it was in the best shape but since I got it the buttons keep getting stuck. The lines are short which is good. If you're trying to get rid of something asap then I guess go here but if you wanna take a little more time go to cex in Boston they give you more money and better quality items. After getting my phone repaired at Replayd (charger port), it didn't charge at all. I was worried because I'd signed a form releasing Replayd from all damage responsibility. When I brought it back in and talked to the owner and the man that fixed my phone, the conversation led me to believe that he was not going to cover the cost of fixing the phone. I was surprised to learn that he'd cover the cost of a new battery and another charger port if necessary (90 day warrenty) In the end, the problem was easy to fix with a little googling, and Replayd got my phone working well again. I feel their policies are reasonable, but I'd have begun the conversation with "Don't worry, we'll take care of the damages because it's under warranty", instead of "You have to see where I'm coming from, I replaced the part you asked for and the damages aren't my fault." read more

There are many reasons why replay'd is my favorite game store of all time. *Good prices. Not too expensive. *Good customer service. *Easy to find. *Fair trade-In values (considering that they are a business that needs to resell games) But the biggest reason? When I went in today, they had mega man 1,4,5,6 (the rarest ones), earthbound, cib pokemon games, and all of the rare stuff. I bought mega man 4 from them for a good price, and now my collection of 1-6 is complete. I'm not going to lie to you, I live 1 hour and 30 minutes away. But it's worth going here if you are in the area. Their selection is amazing; I have never left empty handed. read more
