Back when I was a kid, I came here every day in the summer to just hang out and buy Pokemon and Yugioh cards (yeah I know haha). They have a large selection of cards (sports and kids games themed cards), used movies (blu rays and old dvds), toys, video games of all genres and systems, and magazines. They're usually nice with people just spending time, browsing their goods. It's a small establishment and there's not a lot of room to walk around. The set-up inside is not the best because the way they set things up is not the best use of their small space. There's a private parking space so you're good with parking. It's on a quieter street so not much traffic but during the summers, since it's adjacent to the beach, it gets quite backed up. walking into aces games is like walking back into a bad dealership you have a guy that doesn't know anything about the product and then you have the boss or the other higher up. Negative first-time experience that really turned me off to a place I was hopeful toward. Basically, I was given erroneous information that caused a LOT of inconvenience on my end for no result. I called about a particular new release and was told it would be in the very next day. This didn't correlate with what I'd read online, but I accepted it as a possibility given that many people across the country were getting this title early. I made sure to ask multiple times, "Will you be SELLING this tomorrow? Seems too early! You might have it, but will you be SELLING it?" I was told yes over and over again, and to come in after 12PM when the FedEx truck stops by their place. Sounds amazing! The next day, I fuel up and drive 40+ minutes in the rain to get there at the time I was told, pleasantly surprised and expectant over finding a place that has my title early; only to be told by the sales associate that SOMEONE made a mistake. "Sorry!" Occasional mistakes are understandable, but not continuously and insistently within a business exchange. This is one of the most blatant examples of inattentive customer service I've ever heard of, much less dealt with. Very disappointed with the created situation. read more

AC'S cards and Games is hands down the best place to buy any type video games or home town sports apparel and all types of cards and collectibles you desire. If AC doesn't have what you need, he will bend over backwards to get it for you. Those other reviewers that had negative things to say obviously are trying to smear the good name, of this great local family owned business, with no factuality, as what they said is just plain untrue!! I have done business with Ac's Since the early days of them opening. Some of the comments below are bothersome because the customers that go in to his business are not up to him. Seedy customers, that is just a matter of opinion. I am never coming to this business again. The store itself is extremely scrubby, run down, and shabby. I felt kind of gross just being inside. There is one very helpful gentleman there, but doing business with AC himself was a nightmare. He's something of an aloof business man that won't hesitate to say something condescending or facetious. I felt as a customer that I was a bother and in his way, which isn't the kind of experience I look for in a private business. On each visit the rest of the customers seemed very seedy and am pretty sure they may have been talking about selling drugs or stolen goods; again, not really the environment I'm looking for. I made my final transaction (I feel so stupid for even giving them my business) and was shocked to find a sticker on the instruction booklet. The clerk that had treated me decently told me that it comes off easy. Well, news flash, it doesn't. I am crazy anal about my possessions and the audacity for AC to slap some free advertising on a customer's product in ridiculous. When I got home I spent ten minutes slowly peeling said sticker off and now the booklet is a little warped and some color came off with the sticker. I've been buying games since before Electronics Boutique, so I know how to take a sticker off, and this was a nightmare. Now this next part is embarrassing; I bought Kingdom Hearts 2.5 for $50 when I could have gone anywhere else and grabbed it for $40. I admit it's my fault for not doing a quick search on my phone, so lesson learned. Not only was that a rip off, but the brand new box was in terrible condition; bent and ripped. I was so anxious to leave I didn't notice. Either way, please heed my words and learn from my mistakes. Take your business elsewhere. Instead of running a respectable shop and treating his customers with a little dignity, AC would rather scam you for a few bucks. It's worth noting that he had a used copy of the Sly Cooper Collection for $25 when you can buy a new one for $15 anywhere else.
