My husband and I had an amazing wedding at the fun, unique, beautiful and animal-filled Reptacular Animal Ranch!!! We looked at a LOT of options, and this was hands down our favorite. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for an event space that is customizable and will keep guests talking for a long time. We had several animals at our wedding. Alpacas, dressed as a bride and groom, greeted guests as they arrived for the ceremony, we had a petting zoo for guests to explore during happy hour and we rode in on camels for our grand entrance. The camels were the highlight of our year and a great surprise for our guests! The owners, Cory and Jen, are very responsive to texts, calls and emails, helped with an array of questions and day-of needs and provided all information in an organized and easy to understand manner, with no hidden fees. They are open to creativity, with most things being allowed, so long as it is legal and safe for their animals and permit weddings to go on until 2AM, if you choose. The pricing structure is fair and reasonable. We took advantage of many of the venue offerings, such as: a firepit, changing trailer, a bar, large fridge (for drinks, cake and leftovers), the dance floor, free parking, restrooms, alter, tables and chairs. She was sweet, funny, intelligent, loved her animals and got along great with the kids. The animals were all in excellent health and condition. And they were friendly. We got to pet and or hold all of them and along the way we learned some thing about each one. They were animals that I had never seen before that she brought. Diana was always so sweet to talk to when I called to make reservations and had questions. Christine was a great handler and gave the kids a great show! The hour was the well spent teaching the party guests about the different animals with interesting facts and tidbits! I chose them because after intense researching I found them to be the most ethical and responsible animal handlers, many coming from the Moorpark Exotic Animal Program. There were bride & groom alpacas that greeted guests for the ceremony, a petting zoo experience during the picture time and then the bride & groom each made their grand entrance to the reception riding camels. This was a surprise and added so much excitement for the entrance & as guests took pictures with these beautiful big animals. They then try to reach out to me and tell me a different price so from what I was told that I've only two packages one for 850 with a 350 deposit and the second packages 550 with 250 deposit which seems a little excessive since it's only gonna be two hours. I recently went to a wedding here and it was a perfect outdoor venue for the occasion. The ceremony area was simple yet beautiful with benched seating, and a beautiful arch. The reception area that was just a few steps away had a great layout. The dance floor was a good size cemented circular area and the string lighting lit it up perfectly. If I were getting married and wanted an outdoor venue with a rustic vibe, I'll definitely think of Reptacular Ranch as an option. Note: There isn't cell service up there so I'd advise to carpool or drive yourself. Some people had spotty cell service but mine was non-existent. Also, depending on the size of the event, parking is limited to the road/street so you might have to walk a bit to the venue depending on the amount of cars. read more

Celine was honestly the best and handled the 95 degree weather well with all the animals. It was clean & the kids loved the petting zoo. This was for my daughters 5th birthday party! The animals we're friendly and the kids learned a lot about each of them. The set up was easy they came 20mins early and gave the kids a 10 minute warning before they started to pick them up and take them home. Great experience! We went on the animal tour with Cristina. She was so informative and kind. Lot's of animals to look at , learn about and pet. The ranch itself is in a beautiful location. Both kids said that they had a wonderful time learning about the reptiles, small animals, barn animals/ petting animals and the camels. It was also fun for the adults. We have been on a few different animal tours including the Wildlife Learning center ( also in Sylmar)- and although we also enjoyed that --this was a terrific experience at a reasonable price. We now have used Reptacular Animals for two toddler birthdays and both times it has been a hit with the kids. Two years ago we had the petting zoo at our home and the kids (and parents) were thrilled to hold/touch the animals. The kids were from 2-5 years old. The animal handler was great too! We threw a party for a 4-year-old and her favorite part was the Pocket Animals brought by Reptacular Animals. We had a very knowledgeable and patient expert presenting the animals to the kids. Of course, the best part for them was getting to pet all of the animals including chinchillas, rabbits, hamsters, and mice. The birthday girl loved Olaf, the little white mouse. We were limited on space and were happy that with the amount of kids and animals, it presented no problems. Reptacular is very easy to work with and organized. A group of us (3 adults and 1 child) scheduled a private tour to meet some of the animals on this ranch. Everything was arranged through email, and I was super excited! There's no phone reception out there, but you don't need it because you'll be so enthralled with the location and spectacular creatures. On arrival, we met Jennifer - the nicest and most passionate tour guide ever. She introduced us to the friendly animals, and we were able to pet or touch most of them. My favorite animals were the tegu, donkey, and camel!! Jennifer will customize the tour based on your interests. She was incredibly patient with our 3 year old toddler, and brought out so many amazing reptiles for us to meet. It's a tough balance between being kind to children and making sure the animals are being treated gently - and she did a great job making sure all humans and animals were happy. She's truly a gem. The ranch is located in a somewhat secluded area of Sylmar with a beautiful view of the mountains and landscape. Weddings are held here, and a part of me wishes I had gotten married here because we love animals and nature.
