Food & band deserved more, but service and billing ruined the experience. This was both our first and last visit to this establishment. Don't get me wrong--the food itself was great once everyone finally received their meals, and the live band was absolutely phenomenal. We came in with an open mind as a family of four and really enjoyed the atmosphere and music. There was a mix-up early on when we were told there wasn't enough steak for everyone to order what they wanted. We were understanding and chose different menu items instead. When the food came out, my youngest son's burger was missing. Followed by being served another tables burger - resulting in it being taken back. He had to wait an additional 25 minutes before finally getting his meal. On top of that, my sides were incorrect. When I asked for the fries I had originally ordered, the waitress came back and somewhat just flopped them onto the table. After finishing our meal, my husband and I took a moment to agree on a proper tip. We wrote it in clearly, added it to the total, and left the bill for the waitress to pick up. We stayed well over an hour afterward enjoying the band, but she only came back to our table twice to check on us. Later, when we checked our bank statement, we noticed we had been charged a different amount than what we had written. I called to ask about the discrepancy and was told that the tip amount we knew we had written was "clearly" something else. I was told I could come down to collect the difference, followed by, "What do you want me to do about it?" I was also told it was her first night alone on the floor, and if I was "insinuating she changed it, she didn't." It was a horrible way to end what could have been a really enjoyable evening. The food was great, the band was amazing, and the staff at the bar were friendly --but the repeated issues and the tip modification left the worst taste in our mouths. We won't be returning. My only recommendation for those who do go: bring cash. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. The customer service was below average. My family and I came in after an event and upon entering there was a sign that said "please wait to be seated". So we stood there for about 10 min, received no greeting (for the record they weren't busy, there was not a line and few ppl at tables). I locked eyes with the bartender and a server and they never attempted to acknowledge or greet us. My wife and I stopped by here for lunch and we were very pleased with the experience. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I ordered the chicken fried steak. That's something I usually enjoy and you can tell a lot about a restaurant from their chicken fried steak. The breading was nice and crispy, the steak itself was tender. I got mashed potatoes and onion rings for the sides. Both were good, onion rings were huge! The breading was very crunchy. I really liked that served the gravy in a cup on the side. That kept the entire steak crispy and it didn't get mushy in the gravy. My wife ordered the buffalo chicken salad. It was a large salad. She was pleased with the flavor. We had the southwestern egg rolls for an appetizer. They were a hit as well. My glass was never empty, the service was prompt and friendly. All in all, a very nice restaurant with the classic sports bar atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit. read more

I loved coming to karaoke night with my friends every single week. We have a great time with (most) of the bartenders and the dj Walter. However, after 2 experiences of a server named Monica, I'm not sure I will be back. Monica likes to come onto stage and sing a couple times per shift and she is racist. She uses every chance to use the N word she can get (she's very clearly not black). This behavior from their staff is absolutely unacceptable yet she continues to act this way with no consequences. She has done this multiple times but tonight she sang it more times than you can count in one song. read more

Although I've only been there once, it was a fantastic experience--the food was exquisite, and it's definitely the perfect hangout for college students from the University. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened. They weren't very busy, but it was 12:30 pm on a Sunday. I got the Texas Taco salad with taco meat and my husband got CFS fingers and fries. The salad was great, the CFS was literally hand breaded (like the menu says) and the fries were shoestring-style fresh cut fries. The beer was good and cold. We've been searching for the best burger in town, fully realizing that "best" is subjective. These were pretty good! We got there early in the day so we were the second table sat. Our server, Meagan, was delightful. She was enthusiastic and informative about our choices. The burgers were huge! The buns were soft in the outside and crunchy toasty on the inside. The buns had a great flavor as well. I was a little concerned because the menu said they were sourdough. I'm not a fan of sour sourdough. These were kind of sweet. The fries had a nice level of saltiness and I couldn't stop eating them, even when I was full. It seems there is always room for one more fry. I would have preferred the fries a little crunchier but they were still super delicious. We will go back to try other dishes. I'm thinking the chicken fried steak next time. read more

We really enjoyed this place when in town for a game across the street at the college. Didn't expect much since the reviews were not great but the food was actually excellent. I ordered takeout from here for the first time. The chicken I got was extremely bland. The Mac and cheese hardly had any cheese to the point it just tasted like straight noodles to me. I have been several times over the years, and while it was once amazing.. in the past year it's progressively gotten worse and worse. Recently stepped in for a few drinks and received the worst service I've ever gotten in my adult life. The bartender, who I have been told is the bar manager, is the rudest server I've ever encountered. She left an entire bar of people with empty glasses and when asked for refills all she did was roll her eyes and slowly meet the requests. She stayed on her phone or in the kitchen the entire time we were there. We left and went somewhere else. Such a shame because it used to be such a great atmosphere. We were the third party seated for lunch today and it still took over 30 minutes to get our order. The food was quite good. My wife, who is in a wheelchair, needed to use the restroom and she had a devil of a time getting through all of the tables and chairs and other customers that were parked in the small aisle. I also needed to use the restroom and chose to use the stall. When I lifted the seat the underside of the seat and the top of the bowl were very dirty with a large amount of feces visible. When I washed my hands there was no hot water and I couldn't get the cold water to turn off. Needless to say we won't be back. I typically write lengthy reviews and am brutally honest, so here goes. First, I want to commend the owner for not implementing mask rules. We do not spend our money at businesses that do not respect freedom. It is nice to enjoy my meal without seeing a bunch of sheep wearing masks. Thank you for that! We came in twice just over a year ago and had a horrible experience with service and food. We decided to just never came back. About a month ago, a friend told me that the place has improved greatly. So, in the past month, I have been in 3 times and it has been good. Food was awesome and service was good. I am surprised that this place isn't busier, being directly across from the college. You guys just haven't found your special niche to pack the place., such as half price drinks occasionally, etc. I am concerned for this, because if a business remains slow and not full, this usually indicates that it will not be around long. I do have a few suggestions. The place seems dirty. A view from sitting at the bar, shows a lot of dirt and grime behind the bar. In addition, the dining room could use a good cleaning as well. The men's room smelled of urine, shit and had pubes all over the urinals. You guys need to do routine checks on your restrooms and keep them in order. In addition, a free floating bottle of soap, hand sanitizer should not be sitting on the counter at the sink. This is unsanitary. The employees are polite, but have a slight entitlement attitude, which is failry normal with the gen z crowd and others. Customers should not need to ask for utensils or plates, especially when there are only two tables being served. I notice that the servers tend to congregate at the side of the bar near the kitchen when they are not serving. Maybe some cleaning would be in order during this time. During the three times that I have been in recently, there was a guy sitting at the bar. He was thin, had a medium chin beard/goatee, wears shorts and a ball cap. He is usually sitting and talking to the servers. Possibly an employee. This guy is annoying, between his rambling, in and out the door to smoke and his general behavior, I especially enjoyed his belching loudly at the bar on one visit while I was trying to eat. This guy is a tool. He might just be furniture here and we can learn to deal with it, I guess. Every bar has one. The food is good. Kudos to the kitchen, however, I worry about the cleanliness from the appearance of the other areas. The onion rings and wings are amazing. First time visiting. We will definitely be back. Everyone we encountered that worked here were friendly and nice. I forgot to take food pics, but the food ordered at our table was a pizza, a club sandwich, Texas tumbleweeds, and the bacon jalapeño poppers. The pizza was a thin crust with every meat imaginable. The son enjoyed it. The club sandwich looked good, and the fries looked pretty dang tasty as well. I had the the two appetizers as my meal. The Texas tumbleweeds are loaded mashed potatoes, rolled into hush puppy sized balls, dipped in hash browns, and then fried. Very tasty. He jalapeño poppers are jalapeños stuffed with cheddar cheese, wrapped in bacon, and then fried. I was happy with my meal. Another item of note was the frozen jack and coke. Yummy!! As this place is right across the street from the UT Tyler campus, and my daughter will start attending there this fall, I will definitely make this my go to place. read more

We have been to this establishment 3 times in the last year and all three times have been completely miserable. Tonight, we went to watch the Cowboy game and had people seated all around us and waited and served while we were waiting patiently for a server. After 40 minutes I finally caught a server headed to the back and asked if we could get some service. (A party of 6) She said "Oh yes, I'm sorry" and went to the back. We waited another 10 minutes and got up and left. As we we're leaving, we approached another server at the door to tell her that our entire crew was leaving and why and she said, "Well, I'm off!" "Y'all have fun!" I consider myself to be very patient and a good tipper but these folks now of days just flat do not care!
