Actual home trash pickup is nearly perfect; on schedule and on time. Their billing and customer service operation is nearly the opposite; opaque, unexplained, real "buyer beware" stuff. This company, im not even sure where to begin, but one thing positive, they provided steady pick up service as I requested. That said from the beginning its been a less than stellar experience. I felt like I was conned into signing a contract, since we live in the counties we were told we had to have a commercial account which required a signed contract for 3 years (like a school or something), so I asked questions about it and they gave me all the right answers, like "yes you can cancel any time you want", - YOU CANT. After we were locked in for 36 months, the service I SIGNED A CONTRACT for at 55.00/month steady went up. Each time it went up I called them and theyd give me the old classic, fuel prices went up. By the time the 36 months neared I was paying upwards to a 100.00/month! As the final days of the contract neared, I had a churning feeling like I better go over that contract one more time to ensure I don't need to do something weird like sacrifice a lamb, or walk on hot coals or something. And I'll be damned, I read the super fine print and it stated: "...This contract will auto renew for another consecutive 36 months unless a written letter is received via certified mail and received by the company indicating to cancel services within 60-days of the end of the contract". YEP! The contract gave no address to send the letter to! Deceptive at best. So, way before the 60-days came I had written the letter and had it sent via Certified Mail. After the contract was up Dec.30, 2023, and they send me a final bill that is for part of January and tacking on a removal fee for 184.00!! I looked at my contract and there was already a removal fee paid up front! More bad business practices. This company! Probably one of the top worst in my opinion. I cant even believe the deception I feel about this place. When you call its the run-around. When you call again its 48 hours to call you back...no one calls. MY ADVISE TO ANYONE BASED ON MY ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE please read and re-read your contract if you are forced to have one - that goes for any contract. But with this company, tread carefully and dont trust the representatives that give all the right answers. They keep the best trained folks in the sales department to get you all warm and fuzzy. First off, I don't usually write reviews but felt like I really needed to for this company. My father started a contract with them, I am unsure of the fine print, but for what is going on, I don't need it. He was in a car accident, had to move for medical, hasnt lived in his house where this dumpster is located in over 4 years, he is now out of state with us. I kept the dumpster at the house in case of , but about 2 years ago I started trying to cancel this account. Today, in 2025 I still have not had this dumpster removed. My neighbors really enjoy using it, but since I am not using it I have been trying to get them to come get it. 1st they wanted my father's obit to cancel the account, OK he's not dead. Then they wanted to have a copy of the sale contract for the house so that they had proof that we no longer needed this dumpster. They have no legal right to that sale contract. They are not a party to the sale. Then they contacted the new owners realtor and tried to get them to take over the contract. This is the hardest contract to cancel in the world. I would never recommend them to anyone. Their policies are extremely predatory. I have been passed up to the next level at least 3 times. it should not be this hard to cancel any type of service these days. read more

I have had nothing but billing problems. They send me an overdue notice every month and that I need to update auto pay. I have been updating for 2 years and they posted a notice that customers may have difficulty with their auto pay system, no kidding. They have yet to fix the problem. read more

After calling a few other company's for quotes on a dumpster rental I opted to go with Republican. Not because they offered the cheapest service but merely because even though their rates were slightly higher, they appeared to have better ratings than their competitors. At first I was very pleased with their swift scheduling of the container I was looking to order (very next day). But when it arrived it was nothing like I expected. I ordered a 10' x 4' x 7' container. What I got was a 20' x 2' x 7'. I had requested it be placed in my driveway back along side house. At the time of delivery I wasn't on site and later learned they tried contacting me due to not being able to fit the container in the area I requested. That was a huge read flag. When I arrived I found a container twice the length but half the depth. So naturally clearance for one this size is nearly impossible unless it's placed in driveway in front of house. Which is where they left it. Upon this discovery I immediately contacted Republican to tell them it wasn't what I ordered. The agent I spoke with was pleasant and equally surprised with the size container I received as she agreed it wasn't what I ordered. At this point one would feel confident they, Republican, would quickly correct the error. Not so. 3 days into this and still staring at a useless empty dumpster in front of my house I don't know what the status is on replacing it with another container of correct size. While it's hard not feeling like I'm getting the run around, I anticipate having to contact them once again. What once appeared to have an easy resolution now appears to be a daunting task. read more

This trash company is from hell. We had service from yuma disposal for years with no problems. Then unfortunately republic took over. Been a pain in the a-- ever since ! Our garage can split open account of the heat and use not from being overloaded. They want to charge $36.50 to replace their can that I use thru their company that owns the can not only that l called them and they refused to drop the charges so l canceled their service now they want another $36.50 to pickup their own can. I called in May 2021 to ask the charges for trash pickup. Was told by "Quiana" that the charge would be $80.84 per quarter + $12 per quarter for recycling. However, they charged undisclosed "container delivery" fees of $36.50 x 2 = $73 total. read more

I had a 2 year agreement with this lousy company. They were supposed to raise their rate in the second year but raised it a quarter early. I didn't say anything as it was just a couple of dollars. Now in the second year they raised my rate to 84 dollars over the agreed 2nd year rate of 78.84. This company does not honor it's agreements and lies to get your business. I am going to honor my end of the deal, but rest assured I will be kicking this POS company to the curb in 2024. I should have known there was going to be a problem when they first delivered the trash can they gave me one with a 7 inch crack in the top. I didn't get a recycle can because they were out of them. How does a trash company run out of cans?? They charged me for recycle even though I didn't have can. I had to call to get an adjustment. They charge 40 dollars a can to bring the cans to your house!! I will be taking the cans back in my truck cause I bet they will charge another 40 dollars a can for removal. If you are thinking of using this company get everything in writing. Better yet DON'T DO IT!!!!! In Yuma, Arizona, Republic Services charges $30 to remove your container when you move. Double that for two. Funny thing is I asked them to stop service a week prior to the last week I ended up being billed for, and was told at that time, that I was all paid up. Then I received another bill. I called about it and ended up paying it to avoid an argument, even though I didn't live at the residence for the week I'd been billed for. I then asked again if that was the final bill and was told yes. Then another bill arrives with a $30 fee for "container removal" I wasn't told about. Unreal. I will never use there service again, even if it means taking my own garbage to the dump myself. read more

The driver in yuma az foothills flys down the road while people are walking, he is speeding in a 25 ton truck, the other companies do not do this so don't support this company. Republic/Allied's blue trucks, in the Yuma AZ Foothills, SPEED down residential streets and do NOT stop at stop signs! ... especially in the block between Foothills Blvd and Sheila Ave on 35th (street, place and drive) thru 37th (street, place and drive) around 7am-7:30am!! Besides tearing up the street, there are children and seniors who can't cross the street fast enough to avoid being hit by a speeding Allied/Republic Trash Truck!. Multiple complaint calls have been made to route managers about this safety danger. read more
