For all of you who left poor reviews, I apologize for your inconveniences, but most likely and hopefully you saved $hundreds$ of dollars getting your phone fixed vs paying $500-$800 for a new phone. And if you are too lazy or forgetful to call them back for status, then you are as much to blame. They are busy too, you're not the only one... My husband and I have been using Cell Phone Rescue (yes that's what I call them) for years. They just saved me at least $650 dollars with my dinosaur Apple 5s. Service stopped and it said "searching". Went to AT&T, and with their limited options they advised I go to Apple (never been nor wanted to go to that money pit Zoo). *Scroll to bottom to skip the issue/sob story* Went to Apple anyway, not going into the number of issues and muck ups with my appointment but in the end the representative told me it was most likely a hardware problem and mentioned my antenna was most likely disconnected. She was not able to open the phone up to fix it but was able to go over the array of new phones with me and the eye boggling prices (no way thief). Her only recommendation besides a new phone were instructions to back it up at home and do a full factory reset. I went back home for the 4th time (-att and issues with appointment, remember). Their were so many more issues at home and not to mention my iTunes which I use to back up was acting up, uploading pictures from my computer (?), not able to do the latest update, and not locating my device which left me extremely irritated. Went to Cell Phone rescue and they not only reattached my antenna, but did some extra TLC on my phone to make sure it was up and running again! Love these guys! They work hard, they're honest, and they get stuff done! (Don't forget your phone there, they do get seriously swamped and may forget to call you back because they are Working On Your Phone!) After dropping my phone and shattering the screen, I was in need of a fix ASAP! I called Rescue Cell Phone to ask if I needed to schedule an appointment and was told that it would be $135 and take about 10 minutes by a very friendly man. When I walked into this location, it took awhile for someone to come to the front of the completely empty store and when I mentioned that I was the one who had just called and that I needed to get my screen fixed, I was told it would be $150+ and take an hour to fix. I asked what had changed in the last 5 minutes from when I called to when I walked in and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. While the job they did was fine enough and my phone is now fixed, I probably wouldnt return because of the run around to get customers in only to give them false information. read more

Whoa- this place was incredibly speedy and a great price! I had the glass replaced on my iPhone 6 and from the time I handed over the phone to the time the work was complete and I was on my was about 8 minutes. It was only $86 bucks with tax. Unfortunately the caregiver failed to take the phone out of my pants pocket where I had left the phone and she ran the pants through the washing machine and then reported to me what she had done. An internet article cautioned against turning on the phone until it was dried out since this could cause the phone to fry. I was going to use the vacuum cleaner as recommended to remove the water from the interior after removing the battery before doing so. When I was not able to remove the battery, I took the phone to the Greenville location to have them seek to fix it. The lady was kind enough to say she wanted to look at it before giving a quote on repair cost. GOOD FOR HER. When she came back she said she had removed the battery and put a new one in and turned it on. Water was in the mother board and the phone then fried. She did exactly what the article said that you should not do. BAD ON HER PART. I don't know whether she or the article was correct. She was prompt and did not charge me. I left and did not charge her. I do not know who was right, the article or the lady. So I am off to buy a new phone. read more

While this started out as a 2-3* experience.....by the time I picked up my son's Xbox 360, I was really happy with their service. Started out a little rocky when we arrived at the store at 9am when they said they were open - waited 15 min and even called from outside and noone opened the door or answered the phone. Came back later in the day on my lunch break and dropped off my son's Xbox that was overheating and needed the fan replacing. They replaced the fan, cleaned out any dust and said it ran for 2hrs with no problems! Was ready for pickup the same day. When I went to pick it up, they quoted me 65.00 - well for $10-20 more I could've bought a refurb or used Xbox from Gamestop that was in perfect working condition - the tech rechecked the pricing and services performed and said it would only be $35! I left happy - my son has been playing his Xbox all weekend with no problems! Also - my sister dropped her Iphone and broke the front glass - they replaced it same day for $35-40! They guarantee repairs for 30 days - I definitely recommend their service. read more

This is based on service and price but..."Eek! Methinks not." I have a place I have gone to in the past but this is so conveniently located near my apartment and thought there are plenty of places nearby to hangout while the fix was made. Umm no. First, they acted like I was speaking a different language. Then they quoted me $249 for a cracked display fix on my Galaxy S4! $249! Yelp needs a bolding feature! It gets better, though. It was also going to take then 24 to 48 hours! FULL DAYS...with an S!! That's crazy! I called my go-to (I've been there once, it qualifies) and was quoted $60 and 2 hours. Boom. DO NOT GO HERE!! The LCD's they buy are cheap junk to replace your iPhone glass. The new glass you buy will only last a few days to a week...then lines and black out spots will show up on the screen. They say they offer a 90 day warranty on the glass which is complete BS! They do not honor their warranty! This is the worse place to consider getting your phone repaired! read more

I am really embarrassed that it has taken me so long to write a review for these people!! They have rescued me numerous times (I have 2 teenagers and we are here so often they know us). We have ALWAYS received excellent service with a smile and ALWAYS for a phenomenal price, they have even given us free cell phone chargers and screen protectors and this last time my daughter's iPhone was acting up, I took it to them thinking I'd rather pay them than to go thru making an appointment and waiting on Apple even though the phone is insured and wouldn't cost me anything. Well, they fixed my daughter's phone for free!! I would NEVER go anywhere else!! Make sure you goto this place its next to UPS and Starbucks (which is a plus since you can get a coffee while you wait on the repair) B/c there is another cell phone repair place in the next shopping center and this review is not for them since I have only ever gone here and would never go anywhere else!! read more

Saturday my cell phone got drenched on the patio. I quickly used the ol' rice trick and was able to recover it Except, a small grain of rice got lodged in my charging port! It was so far in I could not even see it. By Sunday, my battery was almost dead so I took it to Cell Phone Repair on Greenville Avenue. It was 5 minutes before they opened but they still offered to assist me and 5 minutes later I had my cell phone back and ready to charge! Speaking of charging that was the best part - they did not even charge me for the service! My experience here was just okay, but not great by any means. I came here on Sunday but they didn't have the parts needed to fix my android. Instead I had to wait until Monday to get it back, and was told it would be done between noon and three. I called multiple times and each time I was quoted a later pickup time... at 3 pm the manager still hadn't even picked up the parts! Finally after five, my phone was ready. I thought the cost was really high in comparison to other places, but I went here hoping to get my phone fixed ASAP. If you're considering coming here on a sunday, maybe wait until Monday when you can go somewhere that might have the parts in stock or value your time a little more. Good news though, my phone works now, which was where the +1 star came from. read more

This may have turned out to be the biggest mistake. I took my iphone 6s for a lcd screen replacement. The store replaced thd lcd screen just fine, although the parts used where noticeably cheap and not apple certified. Now my phone will not make calls! Its pretty much a paper weight. Other than thd lcd screen all functions of my phone worked, after this place had it ive had problems. None of the "techs" can give an answer or want to take responsibility for the problems. I came to Rescue Cell Phone to evaluate the extent of damage to my phone. The guy at the store was very friendly, did a free diagnostic, and got it working again quickly. I think he just did a quick interior clean/drying and it starting working. The fix was not permanent, as I had to go back to another repair service within four days, but as they did their work for free and were so friendly I couldn't complain. If anything I would suggest to the owner to be as thorough as possible with each phone you touch. read more

Took my phone there after it took a dip in the pool. They were unable to fix it, but that is not my issue. They did not call me ever. If I wanted to find out progress I had to call. They had my phone for a week and not one call. I went there to pick it up at 9:15 AM and they were not there. I called and called and no one answered all morning. Avoid. These guys are dishonest. I took my iPhone 4 here to have the home button replaced. It worked fine, but shortly after that the screen started coming loose from the phone. They said they didn't know how this would happen since you don't have to remove the screen to replace the home button. They said they would replace the screen with a new one for a discounted price, which I thought was fair at the time not knowing the truth. In fact, you do have to remove the screen/display to replace the home button, and the screen did not need to be replaced at all. It only needed to be screwed into the frame. Later when I was replacing my battery I noticed that other screws were missing. It's worth mentioning that phone was purchased new and these guys were the only ones who ever worked on while I owned it. read more

tl;dr 1/5. Wouldn't return. Terrible experience. I went here to try and get my phone screen repaired (S6 edge). When I first went, the guy at the counter told me the part needed to be ordered, which was fine. He said he would call in an hour and tell me when it would be delivered. That call never came. I called the next day (Sunday) and was told the shipment would be in Monday and that they would call when it was in so I could come in at the right time. That call never came. I called them, and was told the part wasn't in, but they would call when it was. I then went in the next Saturday to check on the status. The guy told me that the part wasn't in, but that they would call when it was (THEME!). It was strange also because they never asked my number again, or even looked it up. They did recognize me (same guy each time), but never actually checked on the order when I was in. Simply told me the part was backordered now and that it would be in shortly. This happened over the course of 4 weeks. Constant promises they would contact me, and I always received zero calls. This culminated 2 Saturdays ago. I go into the shop, air my frustration at the lack of communication, and was promised that on Monday - which is when this new shipment would be in - that I would receive a call to at least let me know whether the part was shipped and received. Go figure - Monday comes and I never received a call. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible experience. read more

Got my iPhone 5 screen replaced ($99) after I was referred by my brother who had his iPhone 4S screen replaced ($70). Very fast service, cost to me was reasonable. Called before I went in and they were true to their price and time estimate (20-30 min). Lots of places nearby to kill time. They also have a small table to sit and read magazines while you wait. I will have to wait and see how the quality of parts used holds up (my brothers 4S has done well after 3 months). read more

My experience here with this store was a complete waste of time and it's in your best interest to avoid it at all costs. No one that has even a slight expectation of good customer service should enter these doors. I came in with my moto g to have the charging port replaced and brought in my own piece to save on the cost and all I needed was a heat gun to remove the existing piece and replace with mine. Little did I know they would do nothing for a week (saying they would call me regarding a status after 3 business days) and then say the piece was not the right one. I said fine, fix it with your own. What do they do? After I call twice in the span of another week they do absolutely nothing. No one deserves this low level of service, or lack of. Unless you only need your screen replaced, I would not recommend this place to anybody. My story: So I visited Rescue Cellphone Repair on Greenville Avenue, the one next to Caruth Haven behind The Village Apartments and here is my story: I came in Sunday at noon for an estimate on how much it would cost to fix my Galaxy S4. The kid who helped me hardly took a look at it and said it looked like its probably the screen and LED or LCD display(which was not the issue at all) I do not really remember. I asked how much it would cost, and he told me is usually 189.99$ for the screen and the display, but it could come out to be more expensive if they find anything else that is wrong on top of that. I ask him to take a look at it and give me an estimate of how much it would be total, so he told me to leave my phone overnight and that they will call me the following day after they looked at it and figured out what was wrong for the actual estimate. Monday comes around and no call so I give them until the end of Tuesday when I show up about an hour before they close to check on the status of the phone. The guy who seemed to be the manager apologized and told me it is taking longer than they thought for the phones to arrive from the place they send them over to get them fixed. He then told me they should have the box of broken phones Wednesday, the next day. Now, all my red flags should have gone off and I should have asked them why they would send the phone to get it fixed when I told them to call me beforehand to give me an estimate of how much it would cost. But I decided to trust that it was the estimate that the kid told me since they did not ultimately find anything else wrong with the phone besides the screen (which as it turns out, the screen was not even an issue in the beginning). So Wednesday comes around and no call, so I wait until the next day and show up Thursday night an hour before they close again. They said it just arrived but they cannot give it to me just yet, since they have to tweak some extra things themselves but that it would be ready Friday morning. I show up Friday morning AND FINALLY AFTER 4 DAYS from the original "pick up date" even though I never actually told them to go ahead and fix it,it is ready. The cashier then hands me the phone and tells me is going to come out to 289.99$. Now at this point I just laugh at them and tell her that is ridiculous, and that a new S4 is only 249.99$. She gets the manager, who agrees that the price is ridiculous and lowers it to 219.99$. I tell them I am not paying more than what the estimate was, and he tells me "there were quite a lot of things wrong with the phone, and galaxy phones are very expensive and complicated to fix." So I told him to just take the new parts off and give me my phone back, which is when he dropped the price back down to 189.99$. Once I pay, he tries to turn the phone on in front of me but it does not load after the initial welcome screen appears (which was the exact issue it had before). He then promises me that it will work once the phone is charged. I trust him, mostly because I did not want to run late to class and had no way to charge it at the store, and take the phone and on my way to school I try to charge it.... oh no, exact same issue, battery screen appears but then nothing. After class is done, I return, he looks at me and without a word exchanged for a couple of seconds I tell him it is still not working, he immediately gives me all my money back, but tells me that he has to take every new part out that he put. He tells me that he should finish taking all the new parts he installed by Saturday at noon. I arrive at my mother's apartment since she lives so close to the place and as soon as I get there, she tells me that the guy called her telling her to pick the phone up as it is. So I drive back to this place for like the 8th time for the guy to tell me he does not even want to have anything to do with my phone anymore(I think mostly because it would take him longer than the next day to get used or broken parts for my phone and he knows I know that the screen was never an issue so he has to give me a working screen and he knows I would show up every day it takes him to get all the parts back), and still has the nerve to tell me he thinks its only because it has not been charged properly. I took it to a different place where they had it ready this same Friday, and only charged me 70.00$ to change the circuitry and ribbon cable of the USB charging port... so now my phone is working better than ever. I did get a brand new screen which looks amazing out of this whole ordeal, and a new back cover which makes my phone look like it is brand new, but I cannot express how much people need to avoid this place. read more

I was in Dallas visiting for work, and my phone shattered. I had no idea where to go because my regular repairman is located in D.C. After a quick Google search, I found Rescue Cell Phone Dallas. I walked in near closing fearful that I would be turned away at that late of hour. Either the glass was put on the phone under too much tension or the glass was defective or something. But rather than fix the problem, without using the words the guy at the store called me a liar.
