I was very pleased with the assistance I got when I went to this store on Greenville Avenue. They quickly diagnosed what was wrong with the used cell phone I was having trouble with. I ended up buying a new phone from them. (I should have bought a new one in the first place instead of the refurbished one I'd gotten through an Amazon vendor). I had an admittedly old Galaxy Note 2 cell phone where the charger port was so loose it would no longer take a charge. Upon recommendation from Batteries Plus, I came here last Tuesday and was told they would be able to repair it, however they had to send for the part. I was told the part should arrive by 3pm that afternoon. I called back at 3 and was told the part hadn't arrived, but should be there first thing in the morning. I called the next morning (shortly before noon, giving a little time) and they said the part was on its way via courier, and should arrive between 2 and 3pm. Since my phone was pretty much dead at this point, I could not call back and check, so I drove to the store around 4pm and they said the part still hadn't arrived, and probably wouldn't be there until the next day. By that point I had been stuck with a phone that would no longer take a charge for two days, and I was definitely not happy. The manager told me he would give me 10% off of the repair bill, and while I can't totally blame the shop, by that time I was done jumping through hoops. I don't trust courier services as far as I can throw them, and whoever was delivering my replacement part dropped the ball big time. Sorry, but I was better off upgrading my phone and unless you find a more reliable courier to deliver parts to your location, I can't possibly recommend your services to anyone. read more

This review is not for a phone repair because I didn't repair my phone but for how well the business is ran and how good these people are. My dads iPhone gave out on him and Apple looked and said there was nothing they could do but just swap it out for $230 not a bad deal for phone that is out of warrant but still wanted to see if there was a remedy for it. So I was out looking repair shop and mindlessly stumbled upon these guys after my workout aka going to Chk Fil A after the gym. Hopped in and checked these guys out, went in and asked how much for a diagnostic and was pleasantly surprised when they told me it was free! Not a dime! I had been calling other local repair shops and had been quoted anywhere from $15-$20 just to have a look at it. These guys spent 2 hours looking at the phone and didn't charge me anything. Now they confirmed what Apple told me but their honestly and business model will get my future business and referrals. read more

I have been taking mine and my wife's iPhones to Rescue Cell Phone since they first opened on Greenville Ave. The 2 men that work at Rescue Cell Phone have always, and I mean always, been extremely professional and nice. I am always greeted with a smile. They have in my experience always put the customer first. Even if by doing that they miss out on a sale or repair. For example, I bent my iPhone 6S. When I first brought my iPhone in for repair they recommended I go to Apple first to see if I could get it replaced for free. Unfortunately Apple didn't want anything to do with me. Upon my return they of course offered to fix it and when I went to pick it up they didn't even charge me!!! I almost fell over. This is not an isolated incident. Twice my wife has come in to their shop for a simple iPhone fix and twice they fixed it for free! They said for such a simple repair they would feel bad for charging us. Can you believe it?!? They had me as a loyal customer before, but after my experience with them today I will confidently recommend them to everyone. Not because they fix iPhones for free. I have been a paying customer before too. I would recommend them because of their overall AWESOME attitude and service. 5 Stars for the guys at Rescue Cell Phone repair and retail shop!! read more

I just want to mention be careful on purchasing accessories.. They carry not the actual brand accessory but a bootleg one.. Bought 2 different Iphone chargers and both wind up not working (malfunctioning). Leads me to not trust them with anything else... You are better off purchasing at an apple sore for original parts... Went to this place only because a friend told me about a sale going on; on groupon. I had my front glass replaced on an iPhone 4. After it was replaced the front facing camera was fogged up and the wifi was not working to its 100% (I would have to be about 2-3 feet away from the router for it to work) Took it over to the Apple store on Mckinney Ave and had them do it all over again. The glass they used wasn't even close to the OEM. The glass was thicker and touching the home button would scratch my thumb. Now everything works the way it is intended to be. Do not cut corners by coming to this place. I waited for almost an hour and a half. Even though they advertise 15 minutes and the guy working there said it would be about 20 minutes and then someone who appears to be either the Owner/Manager telling me it would be about 30 minutes to an hour after complaining about the wait. This place is a Mom/Pop Chop Shop. Stay away and just go to an Apple Store and have the real Apple Genius fix your iProducts. read more

I dropped off my i phone on the 27th at the Rescue Cell Phone on Greenville Ave. and was told it would be ready the next day. So, I went back the next day and was told it would be ready that evening. Still wasnt ready so I called the 30th and spoke with Josh and was told someone was on the way, be there in 10 minutes with the phone.. That went on all day , speaking with Josh each time. Well, after not getting a call back I showed up to retrieve my phone after Josh promised it would be ready between 6:30-7:00. I get to the store and they can't find my paperwork . Well...a man mysteriously shows up with my phone at 7:30. It hasn't been fixed and I refuse to pay the 25$ diagnostic fee. They say fine...and I leave. Ok, so now I get home , take out the sim card to put into another phone and low and behold there are pictures of someone else's baby and text to and from people I do not know. I purchased thin plastic protective covers for two iphones. One of them started to chip for no apparent reason after less than a month, so I went back to the store. He offered to replace it free of charge, because it appeared he installed it incorrectly, but he had none in stock to give me on that day. He told me that he would have one in a few days and he'd call me. After that date passed, I called or visited the store on at least 3 occasions and I was told the same thing each time. The shipment they expected had not come in, but it should arrive in a few days and they'd call me. Each time I never got a call, as they communicated. The last time I bothered with this was the day I went into the store instead of calling. I asked for the manager and asked why the employee continued to not follow through on what he communicated to me. The manager told me he would get one from another location and call me the next day. Took in my iPad 4 for a screen replacement. The website clearly stated that screen replacement for iPad 4 is $99, yet they told me it was $150 when I got to the store. Dropped it off Sunday morning, came back at Monday at noon, which was the time they gave me to pick up the iPad. They then told me it would me late afternoon, so I had to come back to the store, and upon receiving the iPad they again tried to charge $150+, and I explained again that this was not the price they clearly advertised. They ended up acquiescing and charging $100, but for the incredibly shoddy work they did, it was nowhere near worth that price. There was plastic sticking out from under the screen, the home button was loose, and the screen didn't line up with the edges of the devices, leaving a noticeable edge around the outside edges and the home button. For any device repair I will most certainly not be coming back here. read more

My client had taken his mini-iPad which was cracked to this place. After we had picked it up, we noticed the replaced glass screen was pulling apart from the front and the power button was sunk in. When we went to get it corrected within two weeks, the front desk person said we needed the paperwork which our client no longer kept. He said they would have to "look it up" (it was kept elsewhere) and would take two days. That sounded strange but he said he would call us. That never happened. When called again two and a half weeks later and asked if they stood behind their work, the front desk employee stated they still had not gotten the paperwork and must adhere to their store policy. He would not fix the repair that was obviously botched without the paperwork and would not budge since he stated he did not want to lose his job. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! They do not stand behind their work, it is shoddy, and the service is terrible-just excuse giving. By no means is ours an isolated case since there seem to be a lot of people with similar experiences. I intend to contact the better business bureau and report their unscrupulous practices. read more
