We chose this hotel for the convenience of getting to Globe Life Field for a concert & that was about all it was good for. Check in is at 4pm. Upon our arrival at 4:30 p.m. we were told our room was not ready but that we had got upgraded to a 2 queen bed suite...well for 2 people thats not an upgrade but more of an inconvenience to us. So we asked the desk person if we could just have the room we booked which was a king bed suite. He agreed to let us keep what we originally booked. So we had to wait in their lobby for 45 minutes for our our room to be ready. We barely had enough time to change clothes & be at our trolley pick up at 5:30 p.m. Grrr.. Luckily the room was nice, clean & looked recently renovated?! The breakfast buffet wasn't bad, they had fresh cut up fruit, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage & bacon. Other options included yogurt, oatmeal & waffles. We arrived at breakfast 30 minutes before they were to close everything but the staff continued to fill up the dishes, which was appreciated after the experience we had the day before. For the price of one night this Inn will not be our first choice next time. read more

Stay away. Rooms are infested with fleas. Both me and my friend got flea bites on our feet and calfs and the fleas infestation is so bad when I stand still and look at my feet I can see fleas jumping on me. Stay away!!!! read more

Bathroom smelled like old pee, you know like when someone just pisses on the floor and doesn't wipe it up and leaves it there? Breakfast was not good either, I'm not sure what's going on but each day we had bacon and sausage they tasted terrible! I've never had bacon or sausage that tasted that disgusting. There are no waffles like it shows they have either which we were looking forward to. The rooms are nice, but when a bathroom smells like urine like this then what else are they slacking on?? Also, the plates and silverware were left in the dishwasher so we had to wash them before even being able to use them. read more

I'm a huge fan of the Residence Inn by Marriott. This particular hotel serves guests who have been displaced due to natural disasters or guests who are in town for some extended period of time. It really is an "Inn" in the classic sense of the term. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily in the clubhouse area... and the food is GOOD! Really surprised at how good it is. The rooms are cleaned consistently, and if there is a problem, the maintenance crew is on it quickly and efficiently (our A/C was leaking when we arrived, maintenance arrived 10 minutes after our call). The provide a great kitchen with plenty of storage, and a spacious "living room" area. The pool area is clean and well kept with a basketball area as well. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay if you're in town for a while and on a budget. If there is a Rangers game, your prices may go up (especially if they're playing another nearby team), but there IS a free trolley to/from the game from this hotel and all neighboring hotels. Definitely one of our first recommendations for someone staying in the Arlington area for a while. read more

I stayed in the Residence Inn - Arlington from 06/20-07/01. I had an extremely poor experience with maintenance, of which they were informed of my displeasure with their negligence and unprofessionalism. I had returned to my room unusually early from my work appointments, and had gone to use the restroom when I heard my dog bark. I was then startled to hear the door opening, and I had to inform the intruder to please hold on while I leashed my dog. I was then informed when I opened the door that the coffee tables needed to be switched out that day. I was not informed of this action previously by note, phone call, front desk message, etc. As you know, this is a pet-friendly hotel. The actions taken by maintenance were unacceptable. My dog was unleashed, and had I not been in my room, she could have been let loose. I am also very uncomfortable with the fact that they were entering rooms without notice to switch coffee tables. This is something that could've been done on a rotational basis by housekeeping, and when they have permission to enter the rooms. I am a young female, traveling solo on business. I am completely understanding of maintenance entering without permission if there is an emergency; I would not classify changing tables as an emergency. This is an unacceptable practice - especially, when the 'do not disturb' sign is on the door. I am severely disappointed, as every interaction with the staff at this hotel has been exceptional (the front desk staff especially). read more

This place is the complete worse! Their website says they are "pet friendly" & they are not. Nothing about this hotel is friendly. The "manager", Jason Needham is very rude along with his staff. The receptionist. Rose Mendoza was also very unprofessional & rude. Stay away from this hotel if your trying to have a good time in Arlington &/or if you have pets. Their prices are too high & is definitely not worth it because of their poor costumer service & the hotel being in bad condition. read more

Husband and I stayed here last night since we went to a late game at the Cowboys Stadium. Check-in was smooth and easy. I had used the Marriott app to let them know our approximate arrival time. Being rewards members meant that we got a small welcome gift (trail mix and water bottle), the choice of a 500 point bonus or food/drink credit, and a spin on their wheel for an additional prize. Our prize was 700 points which I'll take. The suite itself would've worked great with our 6-year-old as the bedroom has a door separating it from the living/kitchenette area. Our room overlooked the pool area, but had some strategically placed trees by our windows making it more private. Bed was comfortable, but seemed on the short side as my 6'1" husband was almost too tall. Bathroom had a fan, but was noisy. Location of the place was great. If we wanted to go to Six Flags I think we could walk there (once construction on the roads is finished.) Buffet breakfast had a decent spread: waffles, oatmeal bar, bread, muffins, scrambled eggs, egg whites, turkey bacon, Canadian bacon, yogurt, melon, juice, coffee. Hotel said on weekends theres an omelette option as well. read more

I stayed in a really nice Residence Inn in Denver and decided I'd try the brand in Arlington, where I travel often for work. After about 10 minutes I was calling Marriot to get me in a different hotel for the rest of my stay. The walls and furniture were marked up, I was in a first floor room which didn't feel safe (especially with the signs to lock doors and window) and the mattress was thin and saggy. I can't recommend this place to any business traveler for these reasons. I did stay the one night since I got in so late, and the center reception area that had been remodeled was nice and had good breakfast options. read more

Staying here while I house hunt. Rented a two bedroom suite. The staff here is super friendly, rooms are not spectacular but are cozy. The fireplace in the room is really nice. Kitchen is workable too. They are also great with pets. Free breakfast is consistently good here and they have a happy hour Mon - Wed with free beer and wine. I looked at many hotels before choosing this one in the area. Personally I think its the best deal for those needing more than a standard hotel room. read more

Reliably solid with a very friendly, professional staff. Were able to check in hours early with some room shifts on their part, helpful for tired airline travelers. Quiet room with almost no foot/car traffic noise, though hotel was reasonably full. Housekeeping was fine and competent. Easy access to interstate (though no interstate noise) and the two pro ballparks. The city runs a trolley to the ballparks that stops right outside this hotel, and tickets for it are free from the front desk. Breakfast was competent but nothing to write home to Belgium about. Business travelers: you know what I'm talking about. There's a coffee station so you can take coffee (with lids) out the door. Recommended due to helpful staff, comfortable rooms and quietness. read more

Horrible horrible service! We had booked a room here months ago for a football game. Our flight was delayed out of lax which caused a chain reaction which was going to result in a significant delay in arrival. As soon as our flights were rebooked, my husband called the hotel to notify them we were going to be checking in late. The woman informed him that it would be no problem, made no mention or inquiry as to arrival time. But her reassurance prompted no further discussion from us. Cut to the next day we try to check in at 1130am and they had not only given the room away, but the same woman that my husband had spoken to the previous day gave us enormous attitude, that we were checking in too late and they couldn't hold the room forever. Highly unprofessional. I wouldn't waste my time or business on people who are so lacking in human compassion. read more

We had to stay for a month. Staff was friendly, housekeeping hit or miss. The biggest problem was that we were never notified when we had mail. (We were moving from out of state) We were told by 3 different people that we would be called if we had mail and never were. We are now out of the hotel and I still have to call to inquire if we have mail. It's frustrating. Also, the parking lot is ridiculous. No place to park when you're checking in. Pick up trucks are longer than the allotted space and you end up on the wrong side of the fire lane line. read more

We were billed an amount where we should have been able to stop, unload, and relax in a motel with minimal worries. Instead our short stay was filled with nothing but problems. We booked 2 rooms, both were suppose to have double beds. The rooms were booked 2 days in advance and were available. When we arrived we checked in and carried our belongings to our rooms, when we arrived, we discovered they were singles. Went back to the office to be told that they were totally booked and that's what was left. We didn't have a choice so we booked a 3rd room in the motel next door which cost more money. This was to prevent a couple from having to sleep on the floor. We first checked the hideaway couch, but the mattress was so poor, it would have been better without one. After settling in and visiting, we discovered the A/C was not functioning in one of the rooms. So, that room remained 80 degrees all night, very uncomfortable. In the second room, the fan on the fridge made a loud noise which kept waking us up throughout the night every time it came on. The advertisements and photos are misleading. It shows to have an outdoor fire place, hot tub, and pool. The pool is nice, but there is no longer a hot tub or outdoor fire place. Both have been bricked in and are no longer there. Parking... a huge joke and biggest screw up of the whole facility. There is no parking around the office for check in and check out. You either park in the restricted fire lane or out on the road. The is one lane passage around the whole property, so if you meet someone head on, someone has to pull into a parking spot or back out the whole way. The parking spots are so close together, pickup trucks are unable to park or pull out of a spot without 15 minutes of maneuvering inch by inch back and forth. Trailer parking, haha, better find another place to stay because your not getting a trailer in there overnight. The pros... the bed was comfortable, the rooms are clean, the pool and volleyball are nice, and breakfast was very good. read more

Cowboy Weekend... So when making reservations for other people you get nervous... Im happy to say once again... Reviews are often mis-leading I guess... Believe me the pictures are what u get to counter one review.... Absolutely beautiful... inside/out... Reserved early so worth the $90 a night... A mini suite.... all u need for something relaxing to come back to... Front desk easy check-in... Full complimentary breakfast in the A.M. .... I've stayed in some dives and some 5* places in downtown San Diego. . This was nice and served it's purpose... Front desk extremely helpful... even reserved a ride for us on game day. Lovely ladies handling the food in the A.M. with positive energy!!! Con- Queen size bed.... ummm more like full?? Thanks Residence Inn.... only reason not 5!! We spent the last week at the Residence Inn by Marriott here in Arlington, Texas because of a water issue in our house. Our insurance company booked two suites for us and our family took up residence at the beginning of last week, and we just checked out today. I feel compelled to say that this was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Every single staff member was friendly and polite and made us feel welcome and at home. The daily breakfasts were great and we really enjoyed sitting down to a different menu every single morning, which always included coffee and juice and waffles! And Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, there is a social period, During which the hotel offers light fare, beer, and wine. That was wonderful to partake in as well. The suites were clean and comfortable and decorated quite well. They had every amenity that we needed, including mixing bowls and measuring cups for the kitchenette. Now that we are back home, I'm glad to be here, but in the situation we were in, we certainly appreciated the home away from home that Residence Inn provided! Thank you! read more

We have stayed at other Residence Inn properties and had great experiences, but not at this one! We were in town for a baseball game. We arrived at check-in time and found our room was not ready. They asked us to wait 45 minutes. After waiting, the room was still not clean. They asked us to wait again. Still the room was not ready. By this time, more than 90 minutes had passed and it was time to leave for the ballgame. So we had to cancel our reservation and drive all the way home that night. We will never make reservations here again. There was only one person working the front desk on a busy holiday weekend. And apparently they were not sufficiently staffed in housekeeping either.
