This Best Western was almost twice the price of a few of the hotels we considered (Super 8, Red…read moreRoof Inn), but we thought the Best Western brand might give us a little bit better of an experience to make the higher cost worth it. We reserved it online on our phone shortly before heading over, and the total cost was just over $130. It was in my husband's name, but we were paying with a credit card in my name, so that caused a bit of confusion, and I had to go back to the car to dig out my ID. I think that is kind of standard, so it wasn't a huge deal. We were in a bit of a hurry because we were in town for an event, but I guess the desk attendant needed to verify if our room was cleaned, so we had to wait several minutes while he went upstairs to do this. I asked for a quiet room, so they put us on a higher level than they originally intended. However, they gave us a room facing the highway, so all we heard was cars driving by all night. I'm not sure if there weren't any rooms available on the opposite side of the hall or if they didn't take road noise into consideration for my request. To top it off, something in the room beeped at midnight - maybe the microwave? We really had no idea. It startled us both fully awake, not knowing what it was. Additionally, there were not blankets on the bed, just sheets and a thin cover. I wonder if the room hadn't been completely turned over after all. I'm glad I brought my heating pad with me, or I would have been too cold at night. Some of the outlets in the room were unreliable or unfunctional. We left things charging overnight, but found that they hadn't charged when we checked them in the morning. There was a decent complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Three stars may be a little generous but there was some goodness which tempered some of the bad…read more When we arrived, it was 23 degrees. This is important because our first activity at the hotel ended up being dangerous. The front sliding entrance door was broken and consequently wide open. My husband grabbed a luggage cart from the vestibule and could have gotten immediate frost bite. Remember the flag pole in "A Christmas Story"? If his hands had been damp, he would have had a similar experience on his hands. (Sorry, but that pun was too easy!) Upon entering our room, we noticed it was clean but not CLEAN like I'd expect these days. The light fixtures had obviously not been wiped down in quite some time, there was crud of unknown origin on the bathroom floor but the absolute worst was the used toothbrush we found upon opening the sleeper sofa. Dirty fixtures were one thing but this was just disgusting. It begged the question as to what was invisibly lurking in our room. A most annoying feature in the room was the motion activated light in the bathroom. Imagine unexpectedly getting blasted with bright lights at 1am. I'm awake now. But, it's then hard to get back to sleep with the incessant road noise coming from the adjacent interstate. Maybe a room on the other side (the even side) would be a tad quieter. Breakfast was good but even though the hot food was on sterno it still needed to be warmed in the microwave. The saving grace of our visit was the friendliness of the staff. Since I never got back to sleep I was in the lobby at 5:30. I was brightly greeted by the girl at the desk - that was a good start to my day. I reserved the room with Chase points. I thought it was quite a bargain but you often get what you pay for.

This hotel's staff is what makes this hotel. A special shout out to a young lady named Lakes. She…read morewas very helpful when I had any question. Her smile lit up the lobby and she is PERFECT for the job!! You can tell she loves to help people!!! The hotel does need an update and i believe they are working on it. I do suggest a sign should be posted in lobby about construction and hours to expect noise levels to be louder than normal. It would also help explain the emptiness of plants and and type of greenery. Also would probably slow down negative reviews. My sister and I will be back to visit this location during our sister trips we take to Blue Ash. Please take time to recognize Lakes for her great customer service relations!!

We watched the housekeeper from the lobby & she never used the vacuum or mop the floor for three days. The breakfast buffet hardly changes. Same things day in & day out. The couch was broken & stained. Glad no one to visit, I would have been embarrassed. The hotel undergoing a renovation but the Hilton app did not warn of this. So throughout the day there was excessive noise. We tried to move another but we had made the reservation & were stuck. Every room needs extensive cleaning. The cleaning staff needs a quality check.

Had a terrible customer service experience here for my wedding. Kelly the Manager was rude to my…read morebride and family. We had a block of many rooms and we were treated like dirt. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, even Deshaun Watson (who I really don't like.) We were told we would be able to host our wedding guests for a gathering with food and drinks. Management assured us TWICE that this would be allowed. On the morning before the rehearsal dinner we received a call that this violated hotel policy (because there would be alcohol and outside food) and the gathering would not be permitted. Prior to our arrival, we had met with two different managers (Lauren and another who we do not remember her name) who assured us that we could gather in the hotel lobby after our wedding. At no point were we informed that bringing our own food and drinks was prohibited. It was only on the day of our rehearsal that this rule was communicated to us. While we understand and respect hotel policies, the manner in which this was handled by Kelly was entirely unacceptable, especially given our prior conversations with hotel staff. Kelly's approach was extremely rude and hostile. When my family sought clarification and requested to escalate the matter to her superior, she threatened to cancel their stay. This behavior is unprofessional and contrary to the standard of customer service we expected from a reputable establishment such as yours. As the groom, this added unnecessary stress and detracted from what should have been a joyous occasion, a wedding after party. I won't give Kelly the satisfaction of thinking even for a moment that I let her impact my wedding day. I have submitted a formal complaint to Marriott that has apparently fallen on deaf ears as I never heard back. I kindly request that this matter be addressed and appropriate actions be taken to address Kelly's conduct. Additionally, I would appreciate a formal apology and compensation from your hotel for the distress caused during what was meant to be a memorable event.
