    Full kitchen in room

Love this place. Have stayed here multiple times in the past. This hotel is in the perfect location. It's located in a parking lot with a Chili's, Island16, Italian restaurant, subway and an On the Border. Staff was very efficient and friendly when we checked in. This hotel is super clean and the facilities are well kept. Came here with my boyfriend for a staycation. We stayed in the King bedroom suite. The bed is incredibly comfy and soft. The room features great amenities such as a full kitchen stocked with dishware, a fridge, a couch and a little table to eat. Feels like your own mini apartment! The hotel offers complimentary breakfast every morning and it's good! They have many options to choose from: bagels, french toast, sausage, oatmeal, eggs, muffins...the list goes on! Parking is also free, they give you a pass to put in your window. Only slight issue we had here was NOISE. It's a quiet hotel but we could hear people running upstairs, talking through the walls, the ice maker and the pipes were loud when someone used the faucet in other rooms. Found this to be quite annoying!!!

I hate that I'm about to use this word but this place is "Swanky"!!! I'm out on a business trip for 11 nights and I chose this hotel so that I would be in the middle of Long Island and I would have a full kitchen. This hotel is WAY nicer than I expected. This Residence Inn is located right off the highway but there isn't any annoying highway noise so you can open your windows if you want fresh air and not be disturbed. It is in a business park/plaza with a Chili's, a Wendy's, a Steakhouse, and a Movie Theater. Location wise it really can't be beat. When I checked in the front desk workers were very friendly and quick, which is a plus after being in the car for 5 hours. I got my room keys, unloaded my car, and was watching the Patriots beat the Jets (with Cassel as QB) within 10 min. My room smells delightful and to my surprise there is a gas fireplace in here! The bathroom and the kitchen are super clean and the bed has three different types of pillows. I'm even impressed with their wall art here! Usually the inside of a hotel room is ridiculously tacky but this stuff isn't bad at all. The rest of the hotel is equally impressive. There is an indoor pool and a gym that is open 24 hours a day. Even the parking lot is nice. it is well lit and there are quite a few cameras out there for additional security. Not that the hotel is in an unsavory area but it is always nice when a hotel can at least keep an eye on your car for you. Overall I'm pretty amped for the rest of my stay here at the Residence Inn in Holtsville. If you are looking for a place to stay almost in the middle of Long Island you should most definitely check out this place. There are plenty of options to eat in the same lot as well as a movie theater and the staff here is fantastic.

I had low expectations going in but was pleasantly surprised with all the decor and amenities in the lobby and rooms. Positives: - clean clean clean! So important! - 24x7 minimart on first floor with all the food, snacks, treats and travel stuff - quiet rooms, neighbors had loud music but once we shut the door we couldn't hear it - beds were very comfortable and soft - sheets were super soft! No scratchiness! Wish there was separate top sheet. Instead it's just the comforter with sheet/case around it - the two types of pillows are such a great idea! The soft had down feathers (I think? At least It felt like it) and was nice to have choice which one to rest your head on - complimentary keurig (bring your own kcups if you want better coffee and sugar as well. They give you one packet with wood stirrer) - mini fridge held a lot of drinks and snacks and racks are removable - microwave: perfect for families with kids (hit the mini mart for ramen, pizza, or Mac & cheese) - large 55 inch tv - pull out rolling table with chair - we had a double queen room and it was a little tight in there between the beds and other furniture - charging charging ports + regular sockets bedside table and other sockets throughout room - 2 mirrors: 1 full length and the other half mirror above bench and charging area - Large bathroom with large standing shower (no tub), loved the big mirror with great lighting also includes hairdryer and wall pumps for soap & lotion, shower pumps (shampoo, conditioner, soap) - water pressure not so great but was always warm/hot - our floor had washer and dryer $3.50 and the vending machines have soap and dryer sheets! Negatives: - window only opens a couple inches for fresh air - weird smelling hallways... like too much cologne/air-spray, very overwhelming when you enter hallway - scratchy little towels - cheap TP, bring your Charmin! - lots of duck poop outside on walkways, they do a good job spraying it down often but it's a full time job! - limited parking especially when there are multiple events on weekends - no safe in the room, is that not a thing anymore? Limited space issue I think? You can purchase breakfast with your reservation for $40. The Sonoma Grill is attached to lobby and is open very early at 6am and has a fantastic breakfast (see my other review). Kids under 12 eat for free (although I was unaware until after, so we ended up paying) They also have a gym, business center, and free shuttle as well as ADA/accessible guest rooms! Overall a great stay and would definitely return on my next visit!

Beautiful location off 495 Long Island highway, beautiful inside as well, comfy bed and bed sets, room was equip with microwave, k cup coffee maker, nice decor. When I checked in they told me that coffee is complimentary to my stay since they don't serve breakfast, cafe inside hotel was under construction. So one evening as I was leaving for work, grabbed my coffee and was about to leave, one of their employees stopped me, and said that I have to pay for the coffee, told her that it's for free and I had been getting it for two nights; she said, not today. I left without it and not going to pay for it. Next, my 3rd nights stay, I got a mail under my door about their policy of cleaning the room. So next day when I got back from work after my night shifts, house keeper just opened my door while I was getting undressed to shower, she apologized and I said to her come back in 20mins. She never showed up, I waited until 9;30 am & I went to sleep bcos I have to work same night. At about 2:30 pm, they started banging on my door, I told them that I don't need anything now, they went and called the manager or someone, who insisted that I must leave the room for cleaning, I did. After that, I cld not fall asleep again until it's time to get ready for work at 5pm. So disappointed and wanted to move but I had only couple days; just have to deal with them. So I noticed after that incidents, my room was-completely cleaned before my arrival every morning at 8;30! So you cld do that every morning without disturbing me??????. I don't want to think of staying here again, they lack customer service, they just run the hotel anyhow. The facility looks very nice and calm in my opinion.

"A lively, open, and lush oasis of formative thinking and progressive opportunity"…read more This is what my Groupon said about Jake's 58; and after traveling many hours in hopes of meeting Jake himself, I was looking forward to having a relaxing and beautiful middle-island escape for my family and I. What my Groupon SHOULD'VE SAID was that I was going to be greeted by a brutalist-adjacent superstructure, bereft of any fresh air. That I would be surrounded by hundreds of mindless consumers - all being herded through a small corridor that gave way to a deprived corporate shell ripe with dissimulation. The carpets were exhausted. Maybe we weren't far from Cape Town after all. Gambling is against my religion, so I walked around and met a few of the 58 Jake's that I read about online. They were all very nice. While I enjoyed my stay, I will likely not return in the near future. Great breakfast

This is the East Coast version of Circus Circus, and that isn't a good thing. In fact, this is the…read moreshortest amount of time I have ever spent in a casino. I did one lap upstairs, one lap downstairs, and I was gone. I didn't even buy a drink. I'll explain why. This is a very low-vibrational environment. Most of the people here are using government money to try to hit big on slots. Either that or they're hard-working (much respect) low-pay and throwing a Hail Mary. With dozens of reports of extremely tight slots, they're just throwing their money away. And, as always, when a casino has tight slots, they're usually very cost-conscious and don't put much effort or money into upkeep and cleanliness. To be blunt, this place is nasty. On top of that, the parking lot is an absolute disaster. I had three people cut me off for a parking spot within three minutes. Then, while walking toward the building, I guy in a big black pickup truck sped as fast as he could and pretty much let me know he would hit me if I tried to pass. But ... as he passed me, his engine blew. I don't what the hell it is but every single time someone does something bad to me or tries to cross me their life is ruined. Contrary to popular belief (in circles I travel), I never even do anything. I just act like I do and say I do so people will chill the hell out and let me be. But my middle name should be Karma. I'm walking freaking chaos. I don't get it. But I don't mind it either. Anyway... This place sucks. Never go here. Perhaps it would have been better if it was Jack's 58 instead of Jake's 58. With Jack, you have Jack The Ripper, Jack-In-The-Box, One-Eyed Jack, The Jackson Five, Jack And Jill (buck and a quarter), Jack-O-Lantern, and the list goes on and on. With Jake, he's a guy that wears khaki pants with sneakers, glasses, has three strands of parted hair, and goes to accounting conferences. Regardless of name perceptions, this place is very low vibration. If you know what that means, then you know to stay far away. I gave two stars instead of one due location and good security.
