These rooms are not too bad! It is actually one of the nicer motels/inns that you may find on Long Island. Many of these locations are used for many purposes, so to find one where you feel hospitable and at ease is rare. The rooms are fairly small but have comfortable beds. I would still recommend bringing your own blankets, especially during COVID. However, the rooms have great AC/heaters, as well as a wooden table with two chairs next to the bed. The rooms don't smell, many times at these locations even the non smoking rooms smell, but these don't. It's not too noisy other than the nearby airport but it's bearable. The price in my opinion could be cheaper but it is not bad. I would recommend this spot if you need somewhere to go and can't figure out where! read more

Non smoking queen room. Based on gooogle reviews, i was nervous but to my surprise the room is quote nice and clean. For $115/weekend nite ua can't complain. Better than American Inn on 112 and cleaner than The Midway motel. read more

I came around 9-10pm at night with my brother since our living situation is a little messed up right now. The spanish lady at the counter said she was doing us a favor because my brother is only 18 and that it's one night only so if we wanted to book the room again to come do it in the morning. Morning comes & I speak to the douche who is most likely the owner and he was rude staring at me asking how old I was without letting me speak. I'm 24 so I said 24, then he asks how old my brother is and I said 18 and he literally told us no way and to get out. So I decided to come back at night to speak with the spanish lady and see if she could help us out and she starts cursing at me saying I almost cost her, her job by getting her in trouble and started insulting me to the point I got angry. Room had holes in the wall, stains on the walls and carpets. Had a non smoking room and it still smelled of cigarettes. Bed was hard as a rock. Police we're here when we came back to our room around 8 which of course is never a good sign. Pillows stank and I didn't even want to lay on the bed it felt so gross and stinky. Take your money elsewhere. The clarion across the street I hear might be better. Also, they let you rent a room for 3 hours for like 56$??? If that doesn't sound like some cheap, disgusting, human trafficking stuff I don't know what does. Go somewhere cleaner and safer. Spend the extra money for it. A low cost hotel appears to be clean and they announced that they have new rooms. I am sure that the rooms will be clean and up to date. It has exterior entrances and is directly across the street from the Airport Diner, which is a positive thing. A good value for a low price. read more

Please, DO NOT stay at this place. I only gave it 1 star, because that's the lowest rating, it DOES NOT DESERVE 1 star. The place is a dive. The room was dated, dirty, the carpet was filthy, bed was a mattress, on plywood, on some sort of base, shower curtain was moldy, shower head barely had any water pressure, hot water ran out very quickly. First morning, a woman came running out of a room 2 doors down, in just her panties, some guy pulled her back into the room. Cops were called, it appeared that some people were living there, ac barely cooled the room, housekeeping NEVER came to the room. We weren't expecting luxury, but damn, we weren't expecting welfare motel accommodations, either. Sometimes the key card worked, sometimes it didn't, lots of traffic noise, noisy tenants, toilet was dirty, room had an unusual odor, the pictures on website are NOT what it actually looks like. This place should be closed down. The " bath mat" was a paper place mat, I can't criticize this place enough. Someone needs to do something. EXPEDIA, I booked this room through your site, by you offering this place you are seriously hurting your credibility as a reputable booking site. At 89.00 a night, we were severely ripped-off. Let me clear...DO-NOT-STAY-HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Allow me to explain a little story... I'm in the middle of a complicated move (thankfully moving within a few days)...and for the past month have stayed here on and off. Last weekend I stayed in room 112 which is at the end in the back. The tub in the bathroom had hairs in it, but rather than complaining...I picked up the hair and called it a day. Anywho, the guy next to me in room 113 was obviously partying, was noisy all night, had escorts and other prostitutes in and out all weekend. Once again, never complained. I was away for a couple days, and then came back to stay there on 10/28/16 the guy at the front desk said I was on the "Do not rent list". Of course I went "Huh, why?" The guy behind the desk said apparently in the aforementioned weekend I had made a mess of the room of the room and it was a chore for them to clean. Ok, besides the fact the room had hairs in the bathtub, and it was obvious that they room could have been cleaned (or all their rooms from previous stays) a bit better...I KNOW I did not trash the room. I threw out all my trash in the garbage before I left...and other than that...did not make the bed, and maybe forgot to empty my ashtray which had maybe 3 spent cigarettes in it. Oh...those poor maids! Heaven forbid they had to remake a bed, empty an ashtray, and empty the garbage. Yeah, I made it hard on them... I explain to the guy at the front desk that I didn't do any such thing as trashing the room, and there must be some sort of misunderstanding. He relents, and decides to let me stay for the night. My room (205) smelled of piss, had an half empty bag of weed, and looked like they have not vacuumed around the furniture in months. Whatever...I stayed for the night...I think the same guy from the previous weekend was having some issue with an escort out in the parking lot that night...and another guest was arguing with a drug dealer the amount of crack he received. I mean, this isn't the Waldorf Astoria, and I was just looking for a cheap place to stay on and off while I navigate my move...but DAMN! Needless to say, I for whatever reason decided to stay one more night 10/29/16. That morning about an hour before I was supposed to check out, I went to go pay for another night. I guess the guy at the desk the night before did not annotate his notes or whatever, so tall kid behind the desk tells me I can't stay. Lol I guess I finally reached my breaking point. I tried to explain but the kid at the desk didn't really let me get a word edgewise other than repeating a few times that I could not rent there anymore. I was going to ask to speak to the manager, but in my head I went "SCREW THIS PLACE!" and went back to my room, packed my stuff and left. Besides the drug dealing and/or solicitation of prostitution in the parking lot, noisy people, vending machines that never work (that the front desk WILL NOT refund you for, despite them being in the lobby) the fact that the room is seriously overcharged at $85-90 a night, the fact that I the maids don't really tidy the room like you would expect..., Seriously, if thats the way they treat a loyal customer (or anyone) who doesn't cause trouble...SCREW THIS PLACE. read more

My room was filthy. I am not a picky person when it comes to hotels/motels. But they didn't even clean the toilet. We walked in and there was urine all over the toilet and the toilet was not even flushed. Front desk was very pleasant to deal with. I stayed here at the Lakeland in for 3 days. Yes, It may not be a 5 star place but it is very close to Mac Arthur Airport (ISP). The room was clean and so was the bathroom. I didn't really have any contact with any of there staff except at check in and out. The cleaning woman did a great job with the cleaning. The only things I really didn't car for was the free wifi was a little slow, they have outdated TV's and on there website it says, satellite TV which it did not have, I only got about 20 local channels. Overall, I would stay here next time I visit Long island. The Wifi and TV issues were not that big deal for me considering I was only there to sleep. read more

This place was disgusting. Our boss booked the room and put our names on the room. We called earlier with our name and said we would be checking in late, we were told no problem. Then when we got there after our long 7 hour drive at 1 AM, the person was an absolute jerk and would not let us stay. Despite showing our IDs. He wanted our boss to fax his ID and everything. It was all a bunch of bull. Meanwhile, another guest was having an issue because they came back and someone else was in the room they had paid for already (and stayed one night in it)!!! The room was filthy. The carpets were stained. The walls were dirty. There was hair in the bed and even throughout the whole bathroom, including the bathtub. Our room was filthy had an awful smell and we were there for about an hour I went to use the restroom and noticed there was blood all over the walls not even cleaned rather disgusting my whole body started to break out in hives from filth from only an hour. Booked with price line for my employees. They got in at One am to check in they refused and wanted me to fax my ID. It is not legal for them to ask me to do so. The guy swore and was irate with my employee so i called to get it straitened out, (thought it was going to be a quick authorization and done) basically he swore at me and said "to f word bad thats how we work guy" and refused to check him in. In the mean time he was dealing with a guy who had come back to his room for the night and found the hotel rented it to some one diff and he came back to find people in his room! The cops were called and was a huge mess all the hotels fault. After calling price line and them Price line calling the hotel and price line explaining to them what they are doing is illegal and forcing them to take my CC, the guy than made them wait another 30 min before checking them in and just disappeared from the counter. Once they got to the room it was FILTHY hair everywhere in the bed, sticky floors the works. I was up all night worried about them, as the director of our company i don't ever want to put my people in a situation like this. Spend $20 more and go some other hotel, sleep in your car if you have to! Just don't stay at Lakeland Inn! read more

We stayed there for two nights, and it was a nightmare from beginning to end. First, we were woken up at 2 am by police banging on all the doors, apparently looking for someone who had raped and robbed a prostitute in one of the rooms. Lovely. Then there was black mold on the ceiling of the shower. After the first night I said I did not feel safe at their establishment and wanted a full refund. They would not comply, and said I had to speak to management during the week. Then their washer and dryer room was next to our room, and the machines kept us awake the second night. The morning of our second day the police were there again, this time because apparently some woman was having an affair, and the husband showed up to the motel looking for her and the boyfriend, and was threatening to kill the boyfriend. Overall, the room smelled, the carpeting smelled. None of the cleaning staff spoke a single word of English. Management were rude, crass, and low-class. A week after leaving, my daughter ended up hospitalized with viral pneumonia, and the hospital kept her until tests for Legionella came back, which were negative. My daughter is in very good health, is never sick, and I strongly feel she got the pneumonia from a combination of breathing in the mold on the bathroom ceiling and the stale air from the cheap, filthy air conditioner in our room. I would sleep in my car before ever staying at this place again. The worst hotel stay I have ever had in my life. read more
