1 star (would give zero if I could) Absolutely DO NOT stay at this motel in the Hamptons. This place is a complete scam and one of the most disgusting experiences I've ever had while traveling. First off, the beds were advertised as queen-sized, but they were WAY smaller -- total false advertising. The bathroom had a sign saying you can't use toilet paper to wipe yourself, which is just nasty and unsanitary. How is this even allowed? The room wasn't cleaned during our stay unless we requested it (which we weren't even told up front), and the tiny garbage cans didn't even have lids -- so we were just sitting in filth. On top of that, there were creepy guys sleeping in their cars right outside the building all night. It felt super unsafe, especially for women traveling. Honestly, I've stayed at trailer parks and Jersey Shore motels with better standards and more respect for basic hygiene and safety. We paid Hamptons prices for a complete dump. Save your money, your peace of mind, and your skin -- stay literally anywhere else. read more

We had an amazing time. Random last minute drive east on Long Island ... we just happened to pass this hotel on the way to a restaurant and they had a cottage available. We met the owner in the office, very sweet and sincere. Family owned and operated business...the cottage was all we could ask for. Ice machine even vending machines if need be. We saw a ping pong table and even picnic /bbq areas for the family next time .. we will bring them next time before summer ends. The pool area is Beautiful! And clean .. looks new. Such a quaint place to stay. The owner and her family are so extremely sweet, we came in last minute for a random day trip on a weekend and found this gem. Walking distance from a few places to eat and drink. There is a marina in the back and a very beautiful pool. The cottage was every thing we needed and we will bring our mothers next time to enjoy next. Theres nice little picnic /bbq areas. And alot of parking. The little waste basket was overflowing all the time Not even a cutting knife.. miserable decor.. very cheap furnishings... grounds ugly .. minimal upkeep .....gentleman that works there is wonderful...I felt like I was at a camping site.... Let me start off by saying I have stayed almost weekly for the past 2-3 years in the Summer season and it couldn't have been a better experience. Firstly, Reveka and her staff are so welcoming, kind, and accommodating. The pool is awesome as well. The rooms (and I've stayed in almost all of them at some point) are great and the furniture is comfortable. The marina portion is peaceful and beautiful as well, with Swans, Gulls, Cormorants, Geese, Herons, Geese, and other wonderful and musical creatures abound. We also love the hammock (and the accompanying wind chimes). Reveka always make us feel like family. Will be booking next summer as well. I am confident anyone reading this will also appreciate the charms of Baywatch!!! read more

A true sample of excellent hospitality! Baywatch Hotel & Marina in Hampton Bays is a hidden GEM. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed from Salt and Miss Reveka, instantly making us feel right at home. Everyone here is very informative, giving you the whole rundown of the surrounding community with the best restaurants, bars, and fun things to do. Baywatch had the best rates in town. The scenery and layout of the property are well maintained and very unique. They have a large pool with plenty of comfortable furniture. You can rent a room or choose from one of the 5 cottages they have on the grounds, Great for late-night bonfires and BBQing with family and friends, It's peaceful carefree living. If you're looking to travel from the NYC area, you can take the LIRR right to the Hampton's bay stop, followed by a short 3 minute Uber ride to the hotel. If you're looking to drive it's a short hour and a half ride from Queens/Manhattan. Side note: If you plan on booking a short stay here, I recommend calling the hotel directly without using Expedia/Hotels.com and those types of sites. Had my bachelor party there, we was a groip of 22 guys and we had a good amount of the place rented out. we had the time of our lives. btw Very clean, the staff are very nice humble people. The pool is amazing. The rooms are designed very cozy for an at home feeling with a kitchen and all. They also have BBQ grills The beaches and bars are walking distance. Only stayed one night in one of the cottages. As the day/evening progressed after check in, it became apparent that there was an ant problem. We couldn't keep any food out at all and forget about having trash in the garbage bin. By the time I woke up, they had swarmed the garbage bin and it seems a bit of food in the corner which housekeeping had missed and I hadn't noticed before. I believe this was in part due to a lack of weather stripping under the front door but, it's possible they had found another way in as well. I was so uncomfortable and as a result, we checked out early. read more

We recently booked a holiday weekend getaway for the family. We tried to do our research through reviews and even calling the "hotel" given we live on the West Coast. However, don't be fooled by the positive reviews. I am not sure how or who rated this property anything above a one. Possibly they were paid to review and/or compensated. To see people say they love the place and have rebooked for several weekends amazes me. We were talking with other guests who had similar experiences during our brief stay and also were looking to leave early. The only positive piece is that the general manager did help accommodate us after a family emergency and provided a refund for our last two days give we needed to leave to be in an area where we could get service if another emergency happened. However, I should have been refunded the entire amount as this was 100% misrepresentation of ratings, reviews and overall property condition. I don't even know where to start with this review. 1-NO cell service for T-mobile, AT&T or even Verizon as we had all carriers in our family. When I say NO I mean no service! 2- They advertise free wifi...the catch is you have to find the one or two spots on the property that you can even connect. That is even with the property wifi. 3- this property is labeled a hotel but don't be confused as this a motel and probably should be labeled a vintage lodge. 4- free parking - yes they do in a very horrible poor maintained parking lot 5- room accommodations - we had 1 "cottage" and 1 deluxe room and I would call the accommodations less than accommodating. From the room being dirty, the toilets backing up, ants and black roach type bugs crawling around, broken furniture, shower curtain horrible looking and falls down, mix matched decor, dirty appliances to doors not locking or closing completely. Not to mention shampoo and soap are in containers on wall which is unsanitary to say the least. Not to mention dial soap products which also represents the lowest of lows in regards to quality of amnesties for a "hotel". 6-taxi or Uber service not easy to access even though when I called was told very easy to access. We had an emergency and the rest of my family needed to meet me at hospital. However, there was a 45 minute wait at minimum for a cab. Now, consider this.... I had to call the office to get a message to my family to instruct them we were headed to hospital because they couldn't receive a call, email or text! In addition nobody from management offered to drive them so they walked 2 miles and hitched a ride to get the car so they could meet me at hospital. All of this while the owner/GM had her beautiful Maserati parked in front of her room. 7-pictures on website. Heavily edited to show a much better view and landscape of the property. Outdoor furniture very rough looking and no signs of a ping pong table anywhere. I think I could go on and on... especially considering I was paying an average of 410.00 per night per room. This is a motel, not a hotel. There is no wifi or cell service. They provide you a login to a wifi network that is 0% effective. We had people in our party a part of every cell network, and none of us had service. We also had a medical emergency (a member in our party was rushed to the hospital) and weren't able to get reception to get a cab to the hospital - literally a NIGHTMARE situation. The rooms pictured are heavily doctored images. The "queen" beds would sleep one comfortably, but that would be inaccurate because the beds aren't comfortable. Also, the locks on the doors do not function correctly, so we feel *super* safe. The bathrooms have plumbing issues. The shower curtains fall down and the toilet needed "maintenance" because they said we were flushing literal paper down the toilet. ???? We're pretty sure we didn't pack printer paper with us. Also, there was black bugs coming out of the shower drain, and ants on floor of the bathroom. The management of the property is a little alarming. I am all for summer jobs for teens and bringing kids to work, but every time we needed to come down to the office for help, we were only met with confused looks from kids. We were told that the manager was on her way out as we watched a woman leave in a Maserati... Overall, there was an epic disconnect between what we were promised on the website (which conveniently was called "Hampton Bays Hotel") and what we feasted our eyes upon when we arrived and the subsequent nights we tried staying here. I would not recommend staying here. Buyer be ware for $400 a night. I don't know if these people have been paid to post positive reviews, but this experience was less than glamorous. Wish I could leave 0 stars. We ended up leaving and cutting our stay short, as I imagine the other families did who were joining me in voicing complaints. read more

This was the best find ever that popped up during a Google search the staff was so friendly and the room was perfect and even had a small kitchenette area if you wanted to make your own food. the pool area is so comfortable and clean and there's even a small marina where my son fished off the dock. They have adorable cottages too. I'll be back with my family and also for a weekend with just my husband. You can't beat the location and the cost was much lower than I expected/ I stayed on a holiday weekend. Ill be a life long customer now read more

My mom, sister, and dog recently stayed at this property for a long weekend. We wanted to get away from the city and unwind together. Bay Watch Hotel and Marina was the perfect place to do just that. We stayed in a cottage so there was plenty of room for everyone. We also took advantage of the kitchenette by cooking breakfast every day and eating it on the many table and chair options they have right outside the cottage. The pool is also just steps away from the cottage and was one of my favorite things about this place (not to mention they provide clean pool towels everyday at the front desk!). There are more than enough different kinds of sunbathing recliners around the pool and the pool itself is immaculately clean. I spent most of my time laying around and swimming in the pool because it was so comfortable there. We also went to the beach (which is about a short 3 minute drive from the hotel) a couple times. The beach has very fine sand and the ocean is a great way to cool off from tanning. We couldn't bring our dog to that beach but there was a smaller beach (even closer to the hotel) that we brought him to and he had a blast! Lastly, the service here is unbeatable. All of the staff were so helpful and nice. The hotel manager was very accommodating and is super friendly. We had a wonderful time here, would highly recommend it to others, and will definitely be coming back! read more

And yet again, for summer of 2015 Baywatch never seems to fail!...My family and I had a great time. I love staying at BayWatch, because you're treated no less than family by the owner Reveka. It feels like you're right at home. I definitely didn't miss home during my stay. I loved the pool and the Marina. My little brothers were playing outside from sunrise to sunset. I am looking forward to taking another trip to Baywatch in a couple of weeks, because once is not enough. My next trip will consist of all my friends. Okay i read one other review that may be similar to my experience at this "hotel." When I arrived here from the outside it looked like a motel. The rooms are detached from the lobby. The outside definitely needs to be updated. I've stayed in many many hotels and have had some bad experiences. NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS HOTEL. The room was called "deluxe" as it was just a normal room with a bathroom, no couch. This was a motel and I was being charged $240 a night. The bathroom had no vent so when you took a shower the walls, mirror, toilet, and sink were soaking from the steamy shower. When I tried to open the window to air out the bathroom, a big mouth flew in since there is no screen on the window. The utensils are DISGUSTING. And I truly mean the nastiest thing ever. They have brown spots on them and just look unsanitary. We had to go out at night to buy utensils since that was definitely more sanitary. There was loud noise of heavy rock metal music happening at night ( not the fault of establishment but why is someone blasting music at 2am?) We had people over in our hotel room FOR THE DAY and were told that we need to not have the extra people there. I then called and the owner was kind but we left in such a hurry fearing we would be vacated out of our room since that is what she told us. When I asked her about it she said that "they just can't spend the night." But we told her this prior to her saying she would need us to leave if they are there. It was very uncomfortable. Also every time you walk out of your hotel room someone is looking at you. So many people are hanging out in front of the lobby (across from the motel rooms). And if smoking affects you the smell of everyone else cigarettes in the room next to you lingers into your room. The chairs by the pool are broken and you cannot physically sit on them without getting hurt I don't know what other reviews I read and I do wish I did more research about this place. It is a motel so please do not get fooled by the name "hotel.". The pictures is not even close to what our room looked like. The soaps on the wall in the shower stay "Baywatch motel". They have to have just changed the name to hotel overnight since it needs so much renovating!!! Also if you need to go to beach you have to uber $15 or walk over a mile. This was worst vacation of my life and definitely would have been better if we stayed in a better hotel. I just do not think this room is worth the money we are being charged. It is stuck in 1995. I feel happy leaving this review to help someone else in the future from staying at such a horrible horrible horrible hotel. PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!! don't be decieved by the name "hotel" because this place was no where near the atmosphere of a hotel but very similar to a motel. the photos on yelp/google do not match what the MOTEL looks like in real life. it is very run down and needs a renovation! the outside of the cottages and the "backyard" amenities need major upgrading!! the "free wifi" was absolutely horrible and there was barely any connection. the television also had like 2 or 3 channels and that's it. the only good thing i can say is the bathroom was very nice. they have shampoo, body wash, soaps and conditioner for the guests to you. i stayed there with my family and the did not give enough towels for 4 people. the kitchen was very dirty and we had ants all in the sink/ by the kitchen window. i would suggest finding a better place to stay during your trip to the hamptons. read more

I stayed for two nights with my friend in a cottage just recently and I have to say I was impressed with staying here. It is in a good location, very quiet, and peaceful. The room and living room was clean and surprisingly the pull out couch was very comfortable to sleep on as there was only one full size bed and pull out couch. I would say it is more of a futon bed (not a pull out couch). The kitchen was decent however the frying pans and pots are a little over used and should be replaced with new ones. The pool was great. There is free parking and the AC even though a little loud kept the place pleasantly cool. I would stay here again. read more

The owners are very nice and they seem to try. The rooms are OK and clean. And they keep the pool clean and the grounds are well-kept. But this is a motel, it is not a hotel or a resort. My three biggest complaints are: 1) The locks. I'm not happy about the (lack of) locks on the doors. They are regular key-locks with no double-lock. Some of the rooms have chains hanging on the doors but nothing to connect the chains to, so they are useless. 2) The beds. They mattresses are, supposedly, new. But they must have gotten the cheapest quality mattresses available. Our backs were killing us the whole time we were there. It felt so good to get home and sleep in our own beds. 3) The WiFi. It doesn't work. It never has worked and it still doesn't. AT ALL. There is NO reception in the rooms AT ALL. The only place you can get WiFi or phone reception is if you stand in the parking lot within 20 feet of the office. The phone reception is a problem of ATT and Verizon not having enough cell towers. But the WiFi problem is the fault of Baywatch. They had this problem last year and still have the same problem. This is a simple fix if they just get someone who knows what they're doing to come fix it. But for now, it makes things very difficult when you are on vacation and can't make or receive phone calls or use your smart phone or computer for anything. If they fixed these 3 issues, I would be happy to stay here. read more

Last day at Baywatch and I am sad to go! We stayed 3 nights and 4 days and it was an amazing experience! The hotel is great! Clean rooms, soft bedding, large crystal clear blue pool, the grounds are amazing with chairs, BBQs, and hammocks. But the best and my favorite part were the people. I Felt like I was at HOME! Maria and Revekah were the BEST! They make you feel like you are home and with family. I don't think I have had a better experience with a hotel. I honestly can say that I will come back because of them! Baywatch is your home away from home! I didn't want to leave, but all good things must come to and end. So! I recently hosted my best friend's bachelorette party at the Baywatch Motel. We had the absolute best time there. This is a great little spot with a perfect location. We were 2 minutes from the ocean and bay beaches . They also have a sizeable pool if you care to stay local. The cottages we reserved were all close to each other and comfortably fit 4 people. We had a great time barbecuing the first night. The staff there was so incredible, especially Revekah and Maria. They helped us make restaurant reservations, call cabs and more. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place if you're looking for a low key weekend in the Hamptons. I will definitely be going back! read more

Last year, we hosted a family gathering for our son's safe home from Afghanistan and our granddaughter's christening. We rented out several cabins to stay for a long weekend. There are kitchenettes and park like grounds to eat and a large pool where we enjoyed ourselves so much! Reveka and Maria were amazing. They catered to our every need and made our stay one to remember! Bay Watch is clean, centrally located to all the local hot spots: Rumba, South Hampton Public House, the beach and more! Horrible experience! Not sure if they are under new management or if all the other reviews were paid for... The place was not clean, the hostess/owner (not sure?) was quite rude and making condescending remarks from the moment we arrived. In a place of business, you do not insult the customer- you should know this and obey by this rule! The only good thing is that she refunded the $ for the 2nd night that we did not want to spend there anymore. While we checked out before our schedule, the owner was getting complaints from another customer, as well... This is definitely not worth $300/night, even on a holiday weekend. Where do I start with the things that went wrong... 1.loud music from a live band (that could not sing for the life of them, but continued to do so until 11pm) at a nearby restaurant 2.musty/moldy smell in the dark, out-dated room- stay away from this place if you have respiratory problems! 3.almost non-existing WI-FI- had a few moments of internet connection on the outside porch, despite their false advertisement of wi-fi everywhere 4.loud AC- you could not carry a conversation with the person next to you, in the same small room. It had to be turned off as we couldn't sleep, then it was kind of hot, and made sleep difficult. 5.the bathroom floor was not swept- there was dirt and a piece of condom wrapper on the floor 6. we found blood on one of the face towels 7.no hair dryer, again, contrary to their advertisement 8. the bed sheets were yellowish- is it so hard to bleach them or buy new ones once in a while? 9.no phone in the room I have pictures to support some of my statements, but they are quite gross to post... read more

This is such a nice, wonderful place to spend a getaway at. I went to the Hampton Bays last year with my family and magically bumped into this motel. I loved my stay there so much that when i went again this summer, i spent a half hour on the internet trying to remember the name of this motel. The owners and workers are soo friendly. The rooms and area is clean. Theres a bay in the back and greenery around. They have an outdoor pool! The beach is not far from this motel. I would definitely recommend this place! A wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a clean motel with a comfortable and friendly environment. My friends and I make a trip here once a year because it is one of the most convenient places to stay in Hampton Bays. I have visited the Baywatch for years and when I was told I would be "pleasantly amazed" last week, the staff wasn't kidding. LOVED THE RENOVATIONS! It was a group of 8 of us and we were greeted with that big smile that keeps us coming back. I've always had a good stay but this time, I had a fantastic stay. The renovations really gave the place the face lift it needed to become perfect. What's even more perfect is that the prices didn't change. Before I would of recommended the place only to young groups of adults looking for a weekend party getaway. Now I would recommend to people of all ages. We came here for an hour of what was supposed to be an overnight stay. We had an emergency back home that required our immediate attention and were given no refund, no sympathy, nor any respect. Not to mention the room was much smaller than advertised and could not have comfortably fit our small family. Upon arrival our two small children wanted to see the pool, however, a broken lock on the gate which leads to the parking lot and street made us weary of the pool's lack of safety. The smell of cigarettes in our room is another factor which, if we decide to try to make this trip out to the Hamptons in the near future, will keep us far far away from Baywatch. read more

My friends and I decided that we wanted to do something fun this Labor Day weekend so we thought where else but the Hamptons. I had never been here before but everyone I had talked to always raved about the beaches and places to eat. Since we wanted to stay a couple of nights, we needed a place to sleep. I had hear about Baywatch Motel & Marina from a couple of other people who had been here the summer before. There was a large group of us so we ended up renting a suite and a cottage, both were amazing in terms of decor, cleanliness, and ambiance. Everything was renovated. We had a SONY TV, speakers, and kitchen appliances - all in our rooms. The location too was ideal. For breakfast there are outdoor cafes nearby and for dinner the restaurants are some of the best I've ever eaten at and that's all within a 20 minute radius of the hotel (I recommend Rumba and Edgewater). Also the people who work there are incredible. Maria, one of the ladies, even offered to make us Greek frappes in the morning. Then of course the manager herself is one of the sweetest and most welcoming woman you'll probably ever meet. For those interested in night life there is actually a great beach bar less than 5 minutes walking distance. My friends and I just left and we already started planning our trip back to this place next summer. Seriously there's no other way to experience the Hamptons, other than at Baywatch Motel & Marina! read more
