This place is disgusting! Worst Marriott I have ever stayed in and I stay at Marriott multiple nights every week. Dirty, worn down rooms, two broken treadmills, the halls smell like pickles marinated in curry and ketchup. I literally almost vomited walking down the hall. Heck half the carpet under our bed was torn out and missing. This place should be hit down by the health department and management should be embarrassed to say they run this place! read more

The front door staff was terrific. They were very kind and friendly and informative. Made some terrific recommendations about places to go for dinner and things to see in the area. However, as nice as the room was, the desk lamp was missing a bulb altogether, the lamp next to the couch had a bulb that was very loose and not working. I was able to fix that myself. The pool is being serviced and I was told it will take an entire month to fix it. (Not sure what could take a month to fix a small swimming pool?). Anyway, that was a very big letdown. There are no USB ports in the room. That is something I would come to expect these days at any hotel. The fitness room is kind of a joke. One treadmill with a belt that is held together with duct tape, and another treadmill that I am not sure even works. It is not the same fitness room I saw in the picture on their website. Back to the positives....Their coffee is delicious, and they have a very nice breakfast buffet. They offer abundant free parking, and their prices are fair, but remember you get what you pay for...Including noisy post-midnight neighbors. read more

We were traveling for the holidays and specifically booked a hotel with a "business center" because my husband has to work remotely. In the morning we discovered the "business center" is a single computer in the lobby. It was very frustrating and impeded his ability to work. The person at the desk when we checked in seemed really out of it and was not very friendly. We asked if they could accommodate a room with 2 queen beds and she just didn't even respond and gave us a room with 1 king. The room was not very clean. There was literally a layer of dust over some of the surfaces, and there was some garbage (a candy wrapper and string?) left behind in the pull out couch. However- the morning staff were very friendly, and the common area clean with a satisfactory breakfast. I think it's probably a good pick if you just need somewhere quiet to sleep especially if you have animals as the hotel seems to be pet friendly. But we won't stay here again! read more

Avoid avoid avoid. Place is literally crawling with bugs. We had lady bugs and spiders all over the ceiling in the first room they gave us, guess what lady bugs eat? OTHER BUGS. We said hell no, they tried a second room, this one had some weird mold cocoon thing happening ON THE BED! Just see the pics... they speak a thousand words. I'm a lifetime gold member and have never seen anything like this in any of my 450 stays all over the country. I'm just freaked out. Go to Fairfield inn please. read more

I stayed at the Residence Inn in Moline for just 1 night while on a work trip. The location is easy to find and there are several restaurants nearby as well as a Walmart in case you forgot anything. My check in was seamless and while I didn't catch her name, the lady at the front desk who checked me in was so happy and friendly! I have stayed in many hotels, and she might have been the most pleasant hotel I have met in quite a while! My room was large, very clean, and had plenty of space for all of my work luggage. There was a well-stocked kitchenette, good sized sofa, dining table and work desk. The tv between the 'living room' and bed swivels to turn it either direction. The bathroom was very large as well. I was on the 2nd floor and had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There was an indoor pool that looked nice as well as an outdoor firepit area with nice looking chairs. There was quite a bit of guests here during my stay and a few times it was a little noisy in the hallway, but it didn't last long, and I didn't really hear anybody after 9pm. The bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains were nice. The free breakfast the next morning included real eggs, biscuits and gravy and plenty of chilled items and bagels, etc. I enjoyed my stay here and would glady stay again in the future. read more

We called in an EMERGENCY when we were in town needing a place to stay the night. We called the front desk to book over the phone but the woman over the phone insisted that there were plenty of vacancies and there was no need to book over the phone because we were only eight minutes drive away. She promised us there was a room for us and we could just pay when we got there. We arrived as stated 8 minutes later and the same woman said the rooms sold out in the time we were driving over and we couldn't book a room. She didn't even say sorry. I cried because it was the second hotel we'd tried that night. Wish the staff was trained better to avoid this kind of thing. read more

This Residence Inn is a very nice-looking property. There's a basketball court, outdoor firepit with comfortable seating, a large indoor pool and spa. The lobby is also very cozy and large. Our room was very spacious, as well. The reason I gave 3 stars, rather than 4 or 5 is due to the attention to detail on a few items. In the spa/jacuzzi, there was sand all over the bottom. That wasn't all that important, though. In our room, the mirror was cracked, but the larger issue was the massive leak in the bathroom. It appears that the air conditioning is leaking through to the bathroom floor. I didn't want to move rooms after driving 12 hours, so I made due with just keeping the windows open. I just can't believe that no one complained about the soaked floor. I really think that if the maintenance issues were resolved, this would be a terrific place to stay. read more

Usually stay with my sister over Thanksgiving, but she's having major renovation work done on her home, so I spent four days here. The suite is very large and comfortable, as you can see from the photos others have posted. Separate areas for sleeping, cooking and watching TV. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping the suite clean. Lots of fresh towels every day. The Internet was painfully slow when I arrived, but one call to the front desk resolved the problem in a few minutes. They have DirecTV and HBO, so there was always something free to watch. Started each day with a complimentary American breakfast. Eggs, sausages, waffles, homemade biscuits, cereal... something for everyone. Almost all families over the holiday weekend, so lots of noise, but I'm not complaining because I expected it. Most of the kids hung out in the pool area, which was large and looked well maintained. This should have been a five star review, but I'm taking off a star because of their pet policy and paper thin walls. I'm used to hotels that cater to business travelers, and I've never stayed in a hotel that caters primarily to people traveling with multiple pets. Guests are allowed two dogs, no size restriction. Anyone who's travelled with animals knows it can be stressful for them. So it's no surprise that they often bark non-stop when left alone. Which the dogs in the room next to me and the room above me did the entire long weekend. So unless you like to drift off to the sound of barking dogs... or wake up at 6:00 to the same sound (as I did every morning)... I suggest you choose another hotel. (It did no good complaining to the front desk, as Marriott "encourages" guests to bring their pets along.) Also, the rooms are supposed to be cleaned thoroughly after an animal stay. Mine wasn't. My bed smelled like a dog had slept in it. So I ended up on the couch the first night. After I complained the next morning, the bed was "sanitized" and the smell was gone. read more

I was ready to rate this place as a 5-star, but after my first night's sleep, I was down to 4. The mattress wasn't the most comfortable and kind of springy, unfortunately. But everything else was great. This was definitely the most modern and plush Residence Inn I've stayed at. Nice plasma TVs, good sheets, pillows, showers, towels, and free daily happy hour with food. They also have a pool, basketball court, and a fire pit as well. You could really have an extended stay here, with fully operable kitchenettes in the rooms as well. read more

I've stayed over 100 nights at this Residence Inn in 2018. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable, and having a full stove and oven to meal prep is a huge asset. Colleen at the front desk is always smiling and happy when I check in, and they've been very accommodating with my room assignments because I often work nights and need to be away from commotion during the day. The housekeeping staff is one of the shining gems of the establishment: Lupé and Fabi are by far two of the nicest ladies I have ever encountered and they take good care of their guests. The cons to the facility are minor in the grand scheme. The building could use some improvement and updates. Some doors have to be blocked to stay open. I The tubs are too shallow to relax achy joints in. The bathrooms are always frigid in the winter. Some of the rooms take forever to get hot water, and some showers get stuck on hot and don't cool off. But, maintenance has always been promptly responsive for requests. All in all, I give it 4 stars. It's not 5 because of the need for room and building updates, but it's definitely one that I will continue to visit when I need to. I sleep well. I'm treated well. The price is right, and it's close to where I need to be for work. read more

Well the reviews are correct about this place. It's hit or miss. I probably would have went three stars if it weren't for some significant problems. First this place is located on the edge of the city off of John Deere Road. There is a lot of fast food within a couple miles. Pulling up to the hotel it looks like a nice place. When I walked in to the lobby it looked nice, except there were a lot of burned out light bulbs which made me think this place lacked maintenance. It's not hard to change a light bulb. The plus is that they have a government rate, but only on one size of rooms. They look like they tried to freshen the place up and it fell short. The door to the room 114 looked like worn out paint. The room is spacious with a small kitchen. The carpet was worn and if you wear white socks they will soon be brown. The bed is firm, but OK for sleeping. The pillows seamed OK, but I brought mine from home. The first problem is the mechanicals or Air Conditioner. It's old and doesn't work. I like it cool when I sleep, like 64. No matter what you did it stayed 70 degrees. I set it to 60, nope. I put it in bypass mode and it got to 68 and quit. Well since we were in the back of the hotel we choose to open the windows which worked well. The bathroom is like a hallway from the bedroom, with the closet and sink in one area. Then the toilet and shower tub in another room. The water pressure was very poor in the shower. So now my main complaint. I woke up Saturday and turned on the TV. Perfect time to check the morning news. Well at 630 am the cable went out. I wasn't to concerned as I had to drop off my wife and figured it was weather it would come back on shortly. I came back at 8 am and no Direct TV. Since I was spending the whole day at the hotel I was hoping to enjoy a little TV. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone down. An hour later I called and the annoyed front desk clerk announced they were working on it. At 1130 the hotel repair man came and fooled around. He believed a board was bad in the TV room, but wanted to check the TV. He was having the Front Desk call in another repair person. At 230 still no TV. I called the front desk and the annoyed clerk said they are working on it and it's only three rooms that don't have cable. OK so how about we switch boards? Nope. OK can we switch rooms then? Nope they are working on it, maybe if they don't get it fixed. Well no TV and they don't have a room to switch with at 530. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Yeah Sunday morning still no TV. Absolutely p!ss poor customer service. I didn't even call the front desk because I didn't want to annoy them anymore and I was leaving and I won't be back. If you don't care about TV, like a worn out hotel, then this is the place. read more

OMG I can't begin To tell you how nice everyone is at the hotel. I was supposed to be there two weeks but it got cut short and I was actually bummed. It all starts with the manager, Christina, who does a fabulous job. It was clearly obvious that everyone there loved working there which meant that I was super happy to be there. Everyone greeted me like I've been there forever and we were best friends. It's so unusual in this day and age to get people that seem genuinely happy to see you. And Lupe, my housekeeper, left me little notes. She welcomed me to the room and then she thanked me after she cleaned my room. That is someone that takes pride in their job and again I think it's a reflection of management. If I ever find myself in the Quad cities again I definitely know where I will stay. I would highly recommend the residence Inn to anybody. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful stay. read more

I travel 2-3 weeks a month for work and have status at both the Hilton and Marriott chains. I checked in online so all I needed to do was stop by the front desk to pick up my key when I arrived. I noticed a half full water bottle on the table when I walked in. I figured it must have been someone in housekeeping that just accidentally left it behind so I thought nothing of it and just threw it in the trash. About 11:30 pm I was getting ready to grab my pj's to take a shower before bed and a couple comes walking into my room with their luggage in tow!!!!! They were apparently given a key to the room I was assigned earlier. They apologized and returned to the front desk to get things sorted out. Before the shock had worn off that someone just opened the door the the room I was staying in I receive a call from the front desk asking who I was. I gave them my name and the room number I was assigned. I advised that the room I was given also had the room number written on the sleeve the key was put in. The associate then told me I was in the wrong room. NO I AM NOT!!!! I AM IN THE ROOM I WAS ASSIGNED AND GIVEN A KEY FOR!!!! I was then told not to worry. It would be taken care of. After gathering my composure, it was starting to get late. I had a client meeting very early in the morning and needed to get a shower before bed. I walk into the bathroom and find used washcloths and soap in the corner shelf of the shower! This time I personally go down to the front desk to make sure I wasn't given a room currently being occupied by someone else. I was told no, there was just a name mix up for two separate parties checking in on the same date. I showed them the pic I took of the shower and at this point I'm not even sure my room was even cleaned at all or if the bed was just made up with the sheets still on it from the previous person who stayed here. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER STAY HERE and I will certainly tell my company's travel agency to strike this one from their approved hotel list! read more

We stayed here on a cross country move and had our pets with us. The pros- The bed was comfortable. Pillows were not. The room was spacious. Cons- The bathroom smelled like cigarettes. My pet pulled a wad of someone else's hair out of the sink. The satellite TV cuts in and out, making it impossible to watch tv at all. Some of the food at the breakfast area had a strange texture (eggs, yogurt, sausage). WORST of all.... This is a pet friendly hotel, and our room had pills left on the floor from a previous occupant. I'm glad my husband found that before my pet did. I have no idea what it was. There is a fee to have pets stay at this hotel, which is entirely understandable. However, I'm not paying anyone to poison my pet with floor pills. Not ok. Won't be staying here again. read more

I stayed here for 4 nights for a work trip. The room was very nice and I was surprised by all the amenities (utensils, dishes, dish soap). Breakfast: GREAT. Eggs, hash browns, cereal, yogurt, lots of pastries. So nice to have a hot breakfast with lots of choices. The gym: I could not for the life of my figure out how to use the TVs on the cardio machines. I was not alone, because I watched other people struggle every night with this too. Oh well. There are a couple treadmills, an elliptical, and a bike. There are a handful of free weights also, but not much room to lift much. Overall, I enjoyed the hotel and I'd return in the future. A couple gripes: my room was on the very end next to the stairwell and the stairwell door slammed HARD every time someone went through it. That was irritating. I could also hear a lot of my neighbors' activities, which is not the best. Earplugs saved the day. read more

This was the first of the upgraded residence inn's I'd stayed at and was very pleased with it. Some of the towneplace suites and other locations are starting to look like this one and it is great for marriott overall. Probably stayed here 10 times over a year and was never disappointed. Everything is very nicely designed and new, including the rooms, lobby, gym, etc. The staff is friendly as well. Only stayed in the king mini-suite and it is a perfect size with the kitchen and everything you need. Social hour is a full meal with some beer and wine and desserts, all of which is actually surprisingly tasty. Same goes for the breakfast. Definitely destroys the older marriotts in the area. Only stopped staying because the rate was a little too high for the government rate for some reason. read more

Nice room, but poor customer service. Check in on August 6 and discovered the bathroom sink was clogged with hair. Called and reported the problem to the front desk at 7:30am (August 7, 2018). Returned back to the hotel later that evening and the clogged sink was still clogged. Called the front desk again, clerk stated, " maintenance person did not come in today." No compensation or offer to switch to another room. Hmmmm, I am leaving now and do not plan to live at another Marriot hotel...Hilton has earned my business. read more

Not at all dated as another review suggested. Close to the highway but tucked away in a reasonably good neighborhood and quiet. Newer rooms and furniture and great cable. Good workout facilities with individual TV's on cardio equipment. Nice, modern indoor pool and hot tub. Staff was friendly. Great restaurants within a mile. Lose a star for hair in the tub and no walkable bars nearby. read more

I stayed here for a Dave Matthews concert and can not say enough good things about this hotel! It is very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and they have great amenities. This place is new and tastefully decorated with modern, clean lines. The service was very helpful and friendly, as check-in went quickly and smoothly. Our suite was perfect (two bedrooms); each room had its own large LG flat screen TV. The kitchen area was very clean and well-maintained. While the fitness area was quite small, all of the machines were new. The free continental breakfast was very good (fresh fruit, hot oatmeal, eggs, etc.). I felt like our hotel room was more like a small apartment - almost like home. We will definitely return to the Residence Inn for the next Bix! read more

This is such a nice hotel! It had everything we needed for our stay in Moline. Love that it has real coffee cups, dishes and utensils, and we could easily wash it all in the dishwasher. The bathroom area is huge with a full vanity and large closet. These rooms are spacious and clean. I can't wait to stay here again! read more

I recently arranged for a block of rooms for me and a number of my colleagues at the Residence Inn in Moline, IL. I successfully booked the travel and guaranteed the stay with my credit card. This was all arrange 45 days ahead of time. About a week prior to the stay, I received a confirmation and a reminder about my stay from the hotel; however, I arrived at the hotel to find that they did not have sufficient rooms. They had overbooked their facility. The hotel broke up my party and made me look quite unprofessional. They offered rooms in another hotel about 20 miles away and in another state for a single night. However, they did not offer to cover the rest of the planned stay. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied. Their policy of overbooking costs them nothing. Upon talking to other colleagues, they had previously been bumped from this hotel too. Think twice before booking here. read more
