I'm surprised to see negative reviews about this hotel. We walked into the hotel through the pool/outdoor area. It all looked clean and well maintained. It smelled like fresh pine sol upon entering the actual hotel. The room was spacious: complete with a kitchen, living room area, bedroom area, and large bathroom. Surprisingly, you could not hear the freeway noise from inside the room. At night they turn on the fire pits at the lounge area and the pool is heated.

    Dog urine right by elevator.

First off I'd like to say I frequently travel for work and have stayed at several residence inn hotels- this particular one in Valencia is the dirtiest- first off our room wasn't ready at the time promised -we went to dinner, returned only to find that the room they promised wasn't ready so they issued another room- when heading to the new room number there were bags of trash outside several of the rooms heading to our new room- went in to find bathroom wasn't cleaned and there was black particles on the floor- immediately sent my partner down to switch rooms- they totally moved us to another floor away from our other group members. (We had originally requested 2 rooms together or next to each other. Also want to say the carpets in the hallways are filthy with dog urine stains and smell. Went down for breakfast this morning and the food was nasty! Cold! Limited availability- unlike other residence inn locations. Also, according to staff they now charge $10.00 a night for parking beginning 1/1/25. (Parking is horrible) Will not be staying here again!

Nick at the front desk was super friendly and very welcoming. The facility is very clean. The atrium is beautiful with a fire pits and barbecue. We loved our stay. Breakfast was quite busy, but it was good. Residence inn is on one side and SpringHill suites is on the other side of the building. Both hotels share the common areas. Also, walking distance to a Denny's. I would 100% recommend staying here.

I wanted to share my great experiences here at Residence Inn. I work as a travel nurse, and I'm always looking for a safe, clean and comfortable place to call my home away from home. I like to pack light, so I'm looking for a place that has all the amenities I need to make that possible. Residence Inn has all in this location! The suites offer a full kitchen with all the supplies I needed to cook meals, coffee maker stocked with coffee, and a dishwasher so I wasn't spending my time off doing dishes. The suite was perfect sized for 1-2 people I would say, with lots of storage, and the bed is SO comfy! I need to find out how to buy the mattress topper and pillows they have for my own home, because they're so soft and cozy. I also appreciated that the large and spacious lobby offers plenty of comfortable seating, along with a bar serving drinks and food in the evening, and a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning. This was a huge selling point for me, as it was very convenient for me that I could go have a drink and food there at the end of the day, and eat their delicious hot breakfast in the morning before heading to a busy day at work. Everything about how the hotel is run is perfectly. From the friendly customer service at the front desk checking me in, to times when I needed something and I was quickly helped, to the Super clean rooms, great breakfast and bar, I can't say enough about how much I have enjoyed staying here. Special thanks to Luanna for so kindly helping me with my reservations, Donna for making the best breakfasts and being so friendly in the mornings, and Robert at the bar/restaurant for his delicious drinks and great service. This place is the best around, and I highly recommend!

The lobby was well kept and clean. $15 parking applies. We were able to Lyft to the park for less than $10 bucks per ride avoiding the parking fees at the park. They had a restaurant and small store available to purchase drinks and snacks. They had a limited options though. Luckily there were stores and fast food options close by. Just a 3 min walk next door. Our room was clean and spacious with high ceilings. The ac worked great as it was 100 degrees for the 2 days we were there. We took to the pool which was a great amenity to combat the heat. I used the gym as well-small but definitely had what I needed- dumbbells, treadmill and spin bike. Overall this was a great stay and recommended if you're going to the Park!

I didn't understand because what is the purpose of a reservation if you can't reserve what you need? They proceeded to explain to me that "because I booked through a third-party (such as Expedia) that there's no guarantee on what room you get." I paid $282.34 and didn't get my reserve room? Well we uncomfortably stayed in the king room with a rollaway one night we requested the second night to be moved if two queens became available, which it did. They offered us free parking and one free breakfast for the four of us but I still would've rather had the two queens to accommodate our family. The breakfast: substandard, and we received a bill and were told it was taken care of, but we had to fill in for a tip. It was buffet style and for four people the breakfast would've been $105.00 for bare basics... you could tell none of the food was made there. It was probably shipped in frozen then thawed, such as pancakes and eggs made from powder and water. Watered down juices. No pastry selection. Just really basic. Not worth $26 a breakfast. And asking for a tip when I serve myself buffet style didn't make sense. McDs would have been comparable but cheaper. Next night we were able to move to the two queen beds, but the room they put us in smelled crazy intensely like cigarette smoke the minute you walked in. We requested to change rooms and that was not a problem at all. We asked for extra towels, but we had to go to the desk to get them ourselves. After checkout on the next morning, one of the receptionists was kind enough to get me a cup of tea even though the breakfast bar was closed, so that was nice. Couple days later $15 charge appeared on my credit card so I called to ask why and they said it was a day parking fee (which was supposed to be waved) After having to call back to speak to a manager and a couple days later, the fee was refunded. While on the phone, I asked why you charge for parking when your website says free parking and the woman told me that "it is because I booked through Expedia". That just seems really weird to me. does your hotel charge for parking or not? The website says not and Expedia said not. So I'm confused. Just leaving this review, so people know what to expect if you book through Expedia or any other third-party like kayak or hot wire. The hotel staff was very nice and I guess did what they could to try to make up for it. Booking through Expedia (adding-I also did check their website and it did say they had two queen beds available at the same time I booked it, but the hotel staff said that doesn't matter because they don't communicate right away!) I would stay there again, but book directly through the hotel. I don't recommend the breakfast. It definitely wasn't worth $26 plus a tip for buffet style low budget food. And NO it is not a quick (or safe-lots of traffic) walk to Six Flags. The website says 0.10 mile but that is INCORRECT. It is 1.0 mile walking and 0.80 driving. Big difference if you were planning to walk.

We stayed two nights while attending the park and eating out. The ac/heater worked perfectly. The shower heads were a bit small with mediocre water pressure. The t.v was the worst part of the stay. It was amazing. A beautiful patio and great view of the valley was the perfect start to our weekend. The Hotel is probably the closest to Magic Mountain as well which was great after a long day. We will definitely be back.

They were also very accommodating with my room requests. The location is great, in a nice, safe-feeling area very close to Six Flags. I actually liked being on the freeway side because the noise doesn't bother me and I enjoyed the view of the park. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, although the bathroom floor could have been a little cleaner. I would prefer non-Dove toiletries. The Dove products have a very strong, chemical-like scent that smells cheap to me, and the bar soap practically disintegrated once it got wet. Our lotion dispenser was also accidentally filled with hand soap, but the front desk was very helpful and gave me a small bottle of lotion when I asked. I also wish weekend breakfast opened at 6:00 a.m. instead of 7:00. There were already about 10 people waiting when it opened. My biggest complaint was the room doors. I was awakened several times during the night by neighboring guests letting their doors slam behind them. The doors close extremely hard, and the sound travels down the hallway and into the rooms. I haven't noticed this issue at other IHG hotels I've stayed at. I really wish this property would install adjustable hydraulic door closers with controlled closing and latching speeds. Unfortunately, you can't count on every guest to be considerate enough to close their door quietly, so slower-closing mechanisms would make a huge difference. With that improvement, I honestly think this hotel would be pretty much flawless. The staff, service, location, and overall experience were great, and we would definitely stay again.

The hotel appeared to be less than half occupied, yet we were first placed in a room directly behind the elevator. We have a child who is very sensitive to noise, so we asked to be moved to a quieter room. Instead, we were moved to a room facing the main avenue, where an ambulance immediately went by and scared our child. When we went back to the front desk, the only other option offered was an accessible room. Unfortunately, that room was not acceptable. The toilet was visibly stained, the towels were incomplete, the AC was noisy and did not cool the room, there were spider webs in the ceiling corners, the curtain was hanging off and letting light in, and the bed and bedding were extremely uncomfortable. It is 3:36 a.m. and I am fully awake. If I were not traveling with kids, I would have left. This felt far below Hyatt standards and not at all like the experience I expected from the "World of Hyatt". A budget motel may have offered the same comfort and cleanliness level for half the price.

One entering, there were a set of doors we had to open, which I thought was odd since most people enter a hotel with luggage that we had to pull open the door, but once in a little lobby area, there was automatic opening doors too the actual entrance of the hotel itself. Perhaps it's to keep bugs out with the little circle entrance? Nevertheless, it was easy for us to check in and when we got our room on the third floor. We wanted connecting rooms, and sadly I guess that particular set up with a King bed on one side and a double queen on the other side, the connecting door had the wrong locking mechanism so we were not able to walk through the doorway to each other's rooms. It was fine. Then we did our normal inspection upon finding an odd little bug underneath the mattress on the third floor, we called down to the front desk and switched to the seventh floor. We were also given complementary breakfast for the morning. The seventh floor was much nicer and higher up so you could actually see out over the golf course. See pictures below. Our stay at the hotel was very relaxing and if you get up early enough, they have free coffee. We enjoyed our breakfast at the hotel since it was complementary due to the bug in the room, and I wouldn't mind staying there again. They also had live music in the bar entrance area at check-in. Overall, the room was pretty standard with a fridge, ironing board, and what not but the bug in the room and the fact they allow dogs on the premises did make me wonder about fleas. I wouldn't mind staying here again, I would just inspect the room like I did. Hee

Wow! Where do I begin?…read more Was originally in room 319 and it was so loud once it hit 10 PM! You can hear EVERYTHING due to thin walls! The kids upstairs kept jumping off the beds and crashing on to the floors, people were slamming the doors in the hallway, a couple was arguing in the next room and someone even knocked on our door in the middle of the night! I know it's a family friendly hotel, but wow! This was crazy loud! I called the front desk to see if they had ear plugs and unfortunately they did not. I did request to change rooms the next morning as we were there for 5 days and they were able to accommodate my request. Much quieter on the 4th floor! Also, house keeping does not clean the rooms daily. It was irritating how we had to ask everyday for new towels and linens changed. Lastly, we found out our door was not locking! As we were leaving for the day my husband randomly checked to make sure he closed the door well and you could literally turn the handle and walk right in to the room! The locking mechanism was not working! Very upsetting because our stuff could have been stolen. So make sure you always check the door when you leave because front desk told me the hot weather can do something to the door and locking mechanism? Apparently this happened last summer for some guests. Again, very scary!

He was going straight through the front desk area across to the other side of the building, out the back door and around the building again. While we were outside, he went around 4 times and then we went to our room. I know theres probably not too much they can do about that, but it made us worry about our car a little.
