I've stayed here 5-6 times over the last few months. Hyatt Regency Valencia is a decently well-kept hotel and, given the limited options in the area, it's probably one of the nicer places to stay. It's located in a cleaner, more convenient part of Valencia, which is definitely one of its main advantages. That said, there are a few downsides. Breakfast is not included, although there is a restaurant and bar downstairs. Parking is also not included--you'll need to park across the street in a public garage. It would be nice if they offered valet service, but unfortunately, that's not available. The gym area was also pretty depressing and could definitely use some improvement. Overall, it's a clean hotel in a good location, which are really the biggest positives. If you're staying in Valencia, it's a solid option, just don't expect too many extras.

Simple but quality elegance

I am basing this review on having frequented this Hyatt Regency multiple times over the past two decades, largely for its former spectacular restaurant, The Vines, and for its Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's buffets and celebratory dinners. Also, it is a lovely place to have an afternoon drink and wander its beautiful park-like grounds. This Hyatt is as close to European luxury elegance as we have in the Santa Clarita Valley. When out of town guests need a place to stay, this is my only recommendation. As far as I am concerned, it is the only good hotel in the SCV and certainly in Valencia. My chief complaint is that they replaced a superb, top quality restaurant with a mediocre sterile place they call Greater Pacific. I will let you look at the pictures and the reviews of Greater Pacific itself and let you draw your own conclusion. As for me, I cannot for the life of me understand what and why they did this. So, the Valencia Hyatt Regency stands on its own, despite this baffling blunder. It is worth visiting, staying, and enjoying, just for the hotel and the grounds themselves. Also, this is a great place to hold a convention in the SCV Convention Center it houses. See my photos for more.

We stayed at this Hyatt again and stayed in the second floor in an upgraded room with a terrace. I guess it's good to have a terrace if you have kids but the view over looks a roof so the view isn't good. We were only here one night so having a terrace wasn't important. The room was plenty large though. Pillows were too soft but the King bed was OK. The clock on the nightstand had charging outlets for phone and watch recharging. The room was pretty clean and the AC was nice and quiet. We bought a breakfast package ahead of time when room was booked. At breakfast, it would only be for the buffet. You could only order one of the omelets instead of the buffet from the main menu. Buffet was pancakes, scrambled eggs, juice, coffee, fruit, country potatoes oatmeal, bacon and sausage links. It's a large hotel with swimming pool and a very small gym on the second floor.

Our stay here is always delightful. The beds are very comfortable and we each got our own last night. It was wonderful watching Trump's State of the Union Address all cuddled up in my bed last night. Probably the best speech ever in the best Hotel in town!

Clogged sink and used bar of soap in a room I just checked into.

Hmmm...no words for a room I just checked in to. A used bar of soap and a clogged sink. They sent maintenance up right away. But, should not have been like that in the first place. I won't be staying at the Hyatt Regency Valencia when I come up here again.

This has been our to go spot when traveling down south for a couple of years, it's easy to get to, there are various places to eat, good safe parking, great area to walk around and venture out, pool, fire pits, nice rooms. They had it decorated for x-mas when we came this last time and we came in late, and they didn't even blink and eye or get moody with us checking in. Will continue to visit when needed

Sprinkling & empty ;)

Pros: - 4 minutes away from the Cube, where my boys' hockey tournament was being held - Many $ and $$ restaurant options nearby - Housekeeping was very nice, we opted to skip service but they asked if we needed anything restocked as well. - Pool is small but the lounge area is very ample. Nice for groups to hang out - Ballrooms are available if you have large groups Cons: - Little dog next door has been barking non-stop since 8:30am and it's now noon. I'm all for a dog friendly hotels but yo - I got a handful of lotion on the side of the kleenex box. (OMG!) Now I'm questioning what gets cleaned. YUCKKKK

The guy that stole my money.

PSA!!!!! There is a ginormous Rat !!!! That works there by the name of Rosendo or "Rosenberg". He says he has connections with the hotel and dose dance choreography at their venue and we believed him so we gave the deposit and he completely ghosted us and took our money. Hyatt Regency is well known and he was in full uniform so unfortunately he was able to deceive us and we are completely disappointed.

Over flowing showers! So disgusting and unsanitary!

Just a couple mns later I received a message in my email from the hotel saying they were able to accommodate my request. I really loved getting a message ahead of time. Easy check in. They have a store, swimming pool, hot tub, breakfast 7-10am, basketball courts, laundry room and more! The only thing we were a little iffy about was the person wandering in circles around the building with no shoes and yelling. He was going straight through the front desk area across to the other side of the building, out the back door and around the building again. While we were outside, he went around 4 times and then we went to our room. I know theres probably not too much they can do about that, but it made us worry about our car a little. We really enjoyed all of the small things that were accessible in the room. They had all the utensils you need to eat and cook with, pots, pans, cutting board, bowls, plates, cups, toaster....everything. They also already have dishsoap and sponge in the kitchen. They also have Netflix on our TV which we really enjoyed. Overall, even though we havent left yet, we're extremely enjoying our stay and its been a great last HOORAH, coming back from our disneyland trip. We would definitely come back to stay again.

The Sunday breakfast (and a bit earlier too) was much better. So, be prepared for that. Go early (7 - 8am) or go late (9 - 10am). Hot tub (and pool) was nice. The unforgiveable thing was that the fridge only turned on for 2 hours and no microwave. Unacceptable. We put a bucket of ice in the fridge and that let it stay cold for a long time while we were away. If they're trying to save costs, think of a better way than limiting fridge use or have an "ice" system like we came up with. Staff was friendly.

He was not going to do anything about the fact that our room had issues. The sink was not draining and the toilet was backed up. It was also impossible to get a comfortable temperature to take a nice shower, it was either really hot or really cold. They were booked so, we could not move to another room (we had to tough it out overnight). But, I was told to speak with the manager (I remember being told that his name was George) in the morning. I actually thought that he would be receptive and proactive. I was wrong! Luckily, I was able to call Hilton's corporate office and get the assistance that I should have gotten from him. It was just disappointing. I will not be staying here again!

Ths room itself (king bed) was clean, but had a slight weird odor but went away as long as you have the AC on pushing fresh air in. The hallways are lowkey scary and musty. However, magic mountain is literally around the corner and access to the freeway (i5 north/southbound) is only one stop light away! A+ for location. The complimentary breakfast buffet is the gold mine. The omellete station is so great especially if you are trying to get your protein in, and they have egg whites only so your cholestrol doesnt spike. I like how they have fresh watermelon and cantaloupe and bananas/apples to bring with me as a snack. Embassy Suite's breakfast never fails to disappoint me. They also have complimentary drinks in the evening but I skipped.

When staying at a hotel, one of the things that bother me most is extreme outside noise. A couple…read moresources of it were extremely thin walls & road noise. Thin walls: I read previous reviews where it was mentioned, "it sounded like kids doing cannon balls", etc. So I made sure to book the top (4th) floor for my 5-night stay. Oh my, without even having anyone above, it sure sounded like! I couldn't believe guests walking in neighboring rooms could sound so loud from mine (and sound like they were coming from above, which wasn't possible). Additionally, I lost lots of sleep as I could clearly hear my neighbors conversations each night, past midnight. They were speaking at a normal level too! Road Noise: To add on to picking a room location with no upstairs neighbors, I assumed the more quiet side of the building would face Newhall Ranch Rd. rather than I5. Well, that road was extremely loud too... I'd hate to hear what it would be like facing I5! TIP for parking: I read a review that they were charged even for street parking. That is that reviewers fault. During my 5-nights, I parked on the street (culdesac) nightly, saving the $15/night. You only pay for parking if you accept their parking pass! I couldn't believe how it seemed just myself and 1 or 2 others parked on the street (it's safe). It's not like the hotel parking is gated and it is footsteps from the street parking. Heck, street parking is can actually be closer to the entrance than most of the hotel parking! Laundry: Dryer #2 is a money sucker! Fortunately the contractor who operates the machine is responsive & reimbursed me quickly. But it was a major inconvenience as I was prepping to pack and having to wait for the 2nd of 2 dryers in the room to become available. It took 3 attempts to dry 1 load. Staff should take the machine "Out of Order" until the contractor fixes it! Appearance: from the outside & all aspects of the interior until you get in the elevator, this hotel looks pretty nice. But once those elevator doors open to your floor, you're in a different world. The hallways were so dark & gloomy and I often thought how it looked like a haunted hotel. Fortunately I didn't notice any odd odors in the stretch of hallway to my room but when I ventured through other areas, there were some real pungent odors. This hotel is in need of a makeover, especially beyond those elevator doors!!!

I tried to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt despite the run-down condition and loud, uninviting hallways with maintenance doors open and constant beeping noises. Once we entered the room, the odor was overwhelming. Within minutes I began experiencing shortness of breath and an asthmatic/allergic reaction. My oldest daughter even asked if I was okay because I became pale, clammy, and visibly unwell. I have a mold allergy, and it became clear very quickly that staying there was not safe for me. I genuinely believe that if I had remained in that room any longer, I may have required emergency medical attention. We packed our belongings immediately and returned to the front desk to explain the situation and request help. I was shocked by the response. After explaining that I was having a severe reaction and could not safely stay in the room, I was simply told "sorry" and denied a refund. As a mother traveling alone with three daughters, the complete lack of concern, empathy, or willingness to help was incredibly upsetting. We left immediately and had to find somewhere else to stay while I was still feeling physically ill. I would strongly caution anyone with asthma, allergies, or sensitivities to mold/mildew and strong odors of such before booking here.
