I've stayed here 5-6 times over the last few months. Hyatt Regency Valencia is a decently well-kept hotel and, given the limited options in the area, it's probably one of the nicer places to stay. It's located in a cleaner, more convenient part of Valencia, which is definitely one of its main advantages. That said, there are a few downsides. Breakfast is not included, although there is a restaurant and bar downstairs. Parking is also not included--you'll need to park across the street in a public garage. It would be nice if they offered valet service, but unfortunately, that's not available. The gym area was also pretty depressing and could definitely use some improvement. Overall, it's a clean hotel in a good location, which are really the biggest positives. If you're staying in Valencia, it's a solid option, just don't expect too many extras. read more

This hotel is showing its age. A makeover is definitely needed throughout. The carpets everywhere are in dire need of replacement, the mattress are uncomfortable and the pillows are either hard or a marshmallow. The entire bathroom is aged and needs updating. The ice machine on the 5th floor has been broken forever, as every time we stay here it has never worked. There is no wi fi, even if you sign in to their website. The plus was "Hope " at the front desk. She was amazing and very customer oriented. Just my humble opinion. read more

I am basing this review on having frequented this Hyatt Regency multiple times over the past two decades, largely for its former spectacular restaurant, The Vines, and for its Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's buffets and celebratory dinners. Also, it is a lovely place to have an afternoon drink and wander its beautiful park-like grounds. This Hyatt is as close to European luxury elegance as we have in the Santa Clarita Valley. When out of town guests need a place to stay, this is my only recommendation. As far as I am concerned, it is the only good hotel in the SCV and certainly in Valencia. My chief complaint is that they replaced a superb, top quality restaurant with a mediocre sterile place they call Greater Pacific. I will let you look at the pictures and the reviews of Greater Pacific itself and let you draw your own conclusion. As for me, I cannot for the life of me understand what and why they did this. So, the Valencia Hyatt Regency stands on its own, despite this baffling blunder. It is worth visiting, staying, and enjoying, just for the hotel and the grounds themselves. We stayed at this Hyatt again and stayed in the second floor in an upgraded room with a terrace. I guess it's good to have a terrace if you have kids but the view over looks a roof so the view isn't good. We were only here one night so having a terrace wasn't important. The room was plenty large though. Pillows were too soft but the King bed was OK. The clock on the nightstand had charging outlets for phone and watch recharging. The room was pretty clean and the AC was nice and quiet. We bought a breakfast package ahead of time when room was booked. At breakfast, it would only be for the buffet. You could only order one of the omelets instead of the buffet from the main menu. Buffet was pancakes, scrambled eggs, juice, coffee, fruit, country potatoes oatmeal, bacon and sausage links. It's a large hotel with swimming pool and a very small gym on the second floor. read more

Great hotel. Popped in for a night just auto recharge before magic mountain with the kids. Your typical Hyatt regency but a tiny bit nicer than most. Some minor details with house keeping missed but overall great. WiFi was out but wasn't concerned about it. They comped our breakfast anyway without asking. We would come back. Update: they charged me for the meal they said they were comping. I wouldn't have ate there if they wouldn't have offered without me asking. This has been our to go spot when traveling down south for a couple of years, it's easy to get to, there are various places to eat, good safe parking, great area to walk around and venture out, pool, fire pits, nice rooms. We just moved out of Valencia to La Quinta, out in the Palm Springs area. Being that it's a three hour drive, we decided to stay here so we didn't have to drive back home the same day like we usually do. I had an oral surgery scheduled for 9 am by the surgeon I had before we moved. That said, we are very familiar with this hotel and attended many conventions and events here over the past 35 years that we lived here-- including overnight stays in this hotel. At one point we even lived across the street (literally) at the Madison when it was first built. This hotel had surprisingly good rates compared with some of the other lower-end hotels in the Santa Clarita community. A lot of this hotel is the same with a few tweaks. The restaurant changed hands and the lobby etc have been updated but it's largely the same. We had a nice stay in a largely clean and comfortable room with a few notable differences. The luxury seems to have been toned down a bit with bathroom renovations. In fact, the floors were once a nice marble with quality fixtures, mirrors etc. Seems once they replaced these things, they apparently downgraded floors etc to save money. They now lack the class of a high end a hotel. Indeed, the bedding was rough and scratchy unlike the bedding in the past which probably had a higher thread count, better pillows, etc. People notice these little things that really make a difference. The room had a newer, sparser look and feel that made it feel similar to a lower- end motel-type chain (think Hilton garden inn type vibe). The one thing that gave me the "ick" was the dirt around the base of the shower and grout. One of the towels had ragged edges and fraying which made me think it was an original from the grand opening of this hotel decades ago. On the positive side, it made a lovely shower mat. The other thing I noticed was there are no more small lotions, q-tips, shower caps or even a rug in the bathroom. It's sad that our nicer hotels have cut back so much that they affect the quality of the stay. We would stay here in a pinch, but only because we know that as 35+ year residents of this city that this is the only high end hotel in this valley. read more

The room was absolutely disgusting. When I looked under the bed, I found dust bunnies, claw clips, and leftover food from previous guests. That alone shows how poorly this place is cleaned. It was seriously gross and made me question what else hadn't been sanitized. On top of that, the service was terrible. I went downstairs to ask for a glass of milk for my coffee (I was even willing to pay for it). I stood at the front desk area for about 5-10 minutes and was completely ignored. No one acknowledged me or offered help. When I walked to the bar, the bartender told me I had to wait for a server. I waited, and the server clearly saw me but kept avoiding me. When I tried to approach him, he dodged me again. It was honestly unbelievable how hard it was just to get a simple glass of milk. If you don't want to serve guests, just say that -- but ignoring people is unacceptable. Between the filthy room and the horrible service, I would never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

He says he has connections with the hotel and dose dance choreography at their venue and we believed him so we gave the deposit and he completely ghosted us and took our money. Paid a higher room rate for one with a balcony over the pool. Was given one with a balcony overlooking a courtyard. Hotel does not have any balconies overlooking the pool. what they call a balcony is just a railing across the door. Parking is across the street, not connected to the hotel. Used a Guest of Honor award for booking. They wouldn't upgrade to a suite even though it was available. Front desk lady didn't even volunteer that breakfast is included. When I asked to confirm, she had to check. Anyone who's familiar with Hyatt knows that with Globalists or GOH, breakfast is included. I've had better experience at category 2 JdV's. EDIT: Requested towels, never came. EDIT 2: Gross dirty water gurgled up from the sink and filled up half the sink! It did that on and off throughout the night! TLDR: They nickel & dime you while making everything inconvenient. I was there for respite care bc I take care of my mom & I have an illness. So I was really looking forward to relaxing. They charge $6 for room service delivery. The TV is so inconvenient you have to download the Hyatt app just to get the streaming services. Then I was in a loop for about 30 min before calling the front desk. He couldn't figure it out & says, "I don't know TV's. You might have to go without." To which I kindly said no, we need to figure this out & finally did. As I was going out the first morning there was a house keeping cart across from me. So I tipped him & let him know I'd be gone a few hours. I come back & it's not done. I call the front desk & they tell me they're gone for the day. I never got my room cleaned in the two nights I was there. The sheet situation was disgusting. They have a dusty down blanket that should be in a duvet. Instead it's sandwiched between the sheets. It was a disaster lol. I'd wake up tangled in this gross combination & remake it at 3am. They don't train their male staff how to interact with women. They asked way too many question while trying to make small talk. One asked me if I was here alone which is so inappropriate! He wasn't even being creepy, just seemed nervous. They need some sensitivity training about how to interact with women without making them uncomfortable. There's more but those are the worst. I wouldn't care if it was a cheap hotel. But this hotel is supposed to be nice. I was supposed to be getting respite but spent a lot of time stressed out. And the food was terrible!! read more

Celebrated my birthday with twenty of my friends. I really loved the vibe there and thought it was perfect to hang out. Our server/ bartender Christy was amazing. She not only took care of our group but everyone at the bar as well --- by herself. This is a very nice hotel and was relatively inexpensive. It is rated a three-star hotel but it's much nicer than most three-star hotels I have been to. Service was very good, hotel was quiet, room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The only quibble was that the Wi-Fi was a bit slow. I would definitely consider staying here again even if it is a little bit outside of LA. This hotel convinced me to switch from being a loyal Marriott customer to a loyal Hyatt customer. read more

Horrible hotel stay this time around. I booked the panorama suite for my wedding weekend and walked into a filthy mess of food, trash and dirty towels. OH this was after I waited 4 hours to have my room ready, I had to leave it again to by cleaned. After talking to the rude front desk. They had no apology or anything. I am waiting for a full refund after talking to corporate. I was amazed and shocked of the level of customer service, rude staff and dirty hotel. I give the Hyatt Regency their dues. It is a really nice place to stay and the people working treat you phenomenal. From the door greeter to the check in clerk to the cleaning staff all were very friendly. The Hyatt is also located in a very nice, low key area with easy, accessible parking right across from it. We really enjoyed our stay here. This hotel gets a 4 on Trip Advisor, which I agree with and I feel is a more accurate rating. We used the hotel to break up a long road trip, staying one night on our way to and one night on the way back. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. Kristina at registration was super friendly and nice. Both stays we really enjoyed our comfortable room. The lighting was great, the rooms included robes, and the windows opened - all things we love. The breakfast for Globalists was good. Their cappuccinos did the trick. Their breakfast entrees were good, not great, but the portions were large. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because of outside noise issues that woke us up each night, but this isn't something the hotel can really control (double pane windows maybe?). read more

Arrived early and was told room was not ready, ok left, but was perplexed as to why they did not offer to take our bags and hold them. Came back slightly early to meet the same greeting and be told that situation was being taken care of. But we could wait in the lobby by a man who would disappear. We are waiting for approximately 20 minutes watching guest after guest get checked in. Until i say something in which she replies, we were not aware you were awaiting a room. I got upset. They comped breakfast. When we get into our room, I wash the tub out to give my daughter a bath and discover the tub is full of foreign pubic hair and crusty scum that must be scrubbed off, before I look down at the drain and realize there is dried soap scum, and gnats. We later on found out there is also no ventilation in the bathroom nor a window do any smell is trapped in there unless it escapes through the room. At our free breakfast we were alarmed along with my 2 daughters by a false fire alarm. When we return that night from a long Hot day at the park, after everyone in the room falling asleep we are awakened by another false alarm. I get upset again. We stayed here during thanksgiving weekend with our dogs, and we had pretty good experience. Check in staff was friendly in our case, explained the room level, breakfast option, parking, EV charging (quite disappoint actually). 1. We booked our room and applied suite upgrade award, at the hotel we were assigned a junior suite which is a larger room with a futon couch. Our room faced the pool, which to our surprised lots of kids and teenagers use them at night and past 10pm. Luckily the sliding door is quite sound proof. Look past the pool is the Valencia private golf club, which provide quite a lot of greenscape scenery for us. Other than that we get a regular refrigerator, and bathroom with shower only. 2. The hotel is pet friendly which is a plus, but all the rooms are on 2nd floor and above. Since we stayed at the 4th floor, it's a bit of a chord to bring the doggies for potty and walk. Which leads to the 3rd point 3. There is only 1 entrance into the hotel, the glass door next to the driveway. There are plenty of exits at the back of the hotel, even near the convension center, but those are exit only. Which means everytime after we let the dogs out we need to walk a big circle back to the front, past the lobby, and then go to the elevator. 4. Since we are a globalist, we get free breakfast. And since there isn't a club lounge in this hotel, we can either have it at the restaurant or have it to go, but not room service. That's fair. For breakfast we can either do their breakfast buffet, which reminds me of hyatt place quality. Or a-la-carte, which is above many restaurant quality! We had breakfast 3 days and the staff remember us, very friendly, and the food quality is at least 90+!!! They are also seafood centric which is a plus for us! 5. EV charging is a joke, they painted the walls of 2 parking space for EV parking, but there are only 110v outlet, at that rate I don't think I can fully charge my car even if I park there 48 hours. Come on HR Valencia, invest into some level 2 plugs! read more

The lady at check in was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. We got a room upgrade due to our status which was really nice too. The price was fair too. However, the quality of the hotel was just average. For a Hyatt Regency, I would expect more of an elegant experience, but it wasn't. Everything was so dusty in our room and it didn't seem the most clean. We found several hairs around the room as well. I wouldn't stay here again. read more

I thought it might be better cause it was away from the park. I went in and made a reservation with a woman at the desk. She didn't tell me that the second night my rate was going to go up $150 from 199 to 350. That was a shock when I checked out Other than that it was good that it was by a golf course instead of by the ugly freeway, but there was nothing else about it that was remarkable. The worst part is they have the modem mounted up high against the ceiling and it is extremely large and there are six lights on it that are yellow that in the night will cast a lurid glow all over your bedroom. In the bathroom, there is another very bright light that should you have to pee in the middle of the night will glare all over your room and prevent you from going back to sleep above the lights on the modem mounted by the ceiling thete are many flashing lights as well. It was the most interrupted horrible waking up every hour night I've had in about 20 years. Contemptuous if the customer. Why put a bunch of lights up there where they're gonna light up the room all night long the whole experience was negative read more

This hotel is expensive for the area so I was expecting it to be nice. We were upgraded to a "suite." Right when we walked in there were crumbs and pet hair on the couch, in addition to stains. The toilet seat was disgusting. It had yellow stains that the housing keeping could not remove. The room was filthy. We opened the shades and the windows were so dirty with dead bugs(see the pictures). Next to our bed under the night stand were nail clippings. It was apparent that our room was not even vacuumed. This was room 629. I have never stayed at a Hyatt regency that was this filthy or any other hotel. Save your money go somewhere else. read more

Nightmare experience. No contact from management. Would never return First of all, I've been a loyal Hyatt member for over 10 years. This experience makes me think twice about ever using a Hyatt hotel again. Checked in for a two night stay. Bed bugs attacked me and my youngest daughter all night the first night. When I realized the next day what happened I opened the sheets to see that a bedsheet with a giant hole in it was used thereby allowing the bed bugs from the mattress access to our flesh. Went to the front desk with pictures the next day of our bloody sheets and bed bug poop. They moved us to another room that not only had bed bug poop but also a live bug in the bed. Went down again and had them move me to another room and request a full refund. The front desk receptionist had her manager on the phone and I left contact information for the housekeeping manager who supposedly is responsible to contact me. No response. The front desk manager on the phone was the same person I spoke with the next day and she did nothing and was quite unapologetic and rude. The night shift receptionist Patience was the saving grace as she was quite nice about the situation. The manager I would like to never see again considering she did nothing about the situation even after meeting me the next day. Shoved it off on the housekeeping manager who never called me back. Came back a few months later to leave a message and my phone number with the hotel's general manager and still no response. Never coming back read more

Very disappointing. The rooms were not well kept, the toiletries were empty, and not enough towels stocked in the bathroom (only 3 towels in a 2-bed room booked for 4 people). The pool was dirty and no towels to be found poolside until 30 minutes after they were requested at the front desk. Does not seem Regency or Hyatt caliber, especially for the price. read more

Nice enough but a tad outdated. *Pet friendly Stayed here for a few days during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Check in was very easy and the employees working the front desk were helpful and quick with their work. They do have a bell man if you need assistance with your bags. Parking is $15 and they have a large structure. Honestly I don't know if they check the parking tickets. I only bought one ticket so I'm not sure if it included the two days or if I just got lucky. The room was okay however the view was lovely! It was clean but very outdated and the bedside table was broken. The shower and bathroom were big and clean, and they also put the TV remote in a sanitized bag. They also have a golf course right behind the hotel and a pool available for those brave enough to swim in off seasons. The hotel restaurant is very busy in the morning so get there early. They do also have a bar open most of the day. Decent experience and I would come back/recommend if you need to stay in the area or are heading to Magic Mountain. Overall 8/10 read more

The Hyatt is surrounded by a beautiful area, lots of inexpensive & high end restaurants nearby. This location is in the heart of downtown Valencia 5 mins away from the mall. We didn't end up parking in the garage because it was $17 overnight so we ended up parking behind the Hyatt for free. The walk from there to front desk wasn't bad at all. I love how a key card is needed to use the elevator as well as the doors and gates on the property. My only complaint was the process trying to lock in early arrival for the room. It didn't give me an option to pay an additional when I booked. There was only a section for special requests where you could write you would like early check in. I called ahead of time, they told me it was a day of type of thing. I called two days before because I got an email stating I could pay an extra $35 for early check in so I modified the reservation and "paid" the fee. In my head this should solidly my spot. I checked do make sure my reservation was updated the day before & it wasn't. It still had the normal check in time of 12am so I called to verify. The front desk employee was not extremely nice but she basically told me it's still not guaranteed if the room becomes avaliable the charge would be pushed thru, if not the $35 would be released back to me. In conclusion despite being ready to pay to secure my spot I would still have to call morning of. This made is pretty hard to plan and I didn't expect this type of procedure from the Hyatt because I'm a Hilton member and if you pay ahead of time your spot is locked in. Therefore I was alittle disappointed because these rooms arent cheep and I made the choice to opt in for a high end luxary hotel to alleviate this type pf last minute stress. I would understand if it was a busy holiday weekend but theres no reason why they couldnt guarantee an early check in. * also house keeping came into our room while relaxing in bed, she was very apologetic but still there was no knock. read more
