Nice group of hotels in an area that's a short five minute drive to Magic Mountain. There's three hotels brand here (Springhill, Residence, and Holiday Inn) that share a common lot and parking so it appears they're operated by the same franchisee. The hotel is new with lot of high end West Elm furniture. Lobby area is spacious and has bar but no on premise restaurant with plenty of chairs and dining tables (for their free breakfast). But, the staff here allow you to bring outside food and use their dining area. Marriot does try and promote the use of their app with a digital card key and app check-in but it wasn't working for me when I got there. Not a deal breaker as the staff here were friendly. The rooms are spacious with a living area and bedroom area separated by a tall desk stand. Mini fridge, microwaves, and coffee makers are standard, and the in-room A/C worked well (if you open the window, the A/C will shutoff). The bathroom vanity area was a bit cramped and the faucet had low water pressure. Our sink was clogged but a call to the front desk and few minutes later, they sent someone to fix it. Our room wasn't cleaned even though we didn't hang our "do not disturb" sign and after the cleaning person told us our room would be cleaned later in the afternoon. We ended up settling to just have them take out our garbage and give us fresh towels. There are some on premise entertainment including a pool and an outdoor fire place. Their game room has a ping pong and foosball table (you have to leave your ID in exchange for the ping pong paddle and foosball) but the game rooms A/C didn't work and after 30 minutes, it just got too hot.

Jaonn and Grace were both helpful during check in and made the process at ease. I have been traveling during the pandemic as an essential worker and since the reopening of the economy, I have witnessed hospitality workers specifically in the hotel industry verbally abused during my check in experiences. I want to specifically address these two workers for handling such an incident with professionalism, as well as all hospitality workers! Clean property, convenient location (especially across from Six Flags), and affordable prices; $172 a night before taxes mid weekday.

I stayed here for a visit with my daughter while we enjoyed sequential visits to Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. It was nice to stay at a hotel close to the amusement park and not have to drive all the way back home since we were visiting the park multiple days. Now admittedly, I had a difficult time writing this review because there were really positive qualities along with some rather annoying attributes during my visit here. First let me start with the positive qualities. Upon entry at this hotel, one will immediately notice how well decorated it is here throughout the premises, especially in the hotel lobby and the dining area. In addition, careful attention to detail has also been made in the hallways and other guest areas. The hotel is also very clean throughout, so kudos to the cleaning staff! For their guests, this hotel provides almost everything you can imagine that you would want, and then more. All the staff members I interacted with while we were here were friendly and professional, from my initial check-in to my final checkout. Most importantly, this hotel met all of my primary requirements for staying at any hotel, including safety, cleanliness and quietness. And, the best part of my visit here was that we were able to stay here entirely for free because I'm a frequent guest/customer at Marriott hotels. I love free stuff! As mentioned earlier, unfortunately, there were also some annoying attributes I experienced during my stay here. First of all, it took me way too long just to figure out how to turn on the television and some of the lights in my room because part of the power in each room requires that you insert your room key in a special slot near the room entry that permits power. When someone has just checked into their room and they're tired, they really don't want to have to figure out these annoying things. Second, there was a small portion of the carpet that prevented the bathroom door in our room from properly closing because of a poor installation, and this carpet eventually ripped just so we were able to close the bathroom door. Third, there was a light fixture that was broken in our room, and it would have been nice to have light in that one part of our room. Fourth, I found the hotel room layout to be rather awkward with the placement of the office/work area, which is placed in an attempt to separate the "bedroom" area from the "living room" area. Finally, fifth, it was also rather annoying to find a small trail of ants in our hotel room, apparently looking for water in the bathroom because of the excessive summer heat outside. Overall, this hotel has a lot of potential, and all the pictures I've posted will only show how nice it is here. However, there were also just too many annoying aspects I experienced while we were here that caused me to diminish what would have been a stellar rating for this business.

Stayed here twice for one night each time, as a launching point to making the dreaded I-5 drive north. It's ok but would like to try some place else next point. Pros: - First floor rooms. After a week, I get tired of needling to take the hotel elevator. - Breakfast has options. There's cold brew, oat milk, granola bar, things that sound good but I didn't try. - New ish. Still smells good. - Convenient location near freeway. Cons: - In room AC is freezing and super loud. It's super cold in the bed next to the unit but ok temp far across the room. - Bathroom is located right in the middle of the room, so it's really difficult to not disturb the other half of the room's occupants who sleep early or sleep in. - Too much light in the room from the window and bathroom nightlight at night. - Shower spits water everywhere. - Small refrigerator was not cool at all. Other: - Small ish underground parking. - Luggage cart hard to find.

The lobby was well kept and clean. $15 parking applies. We were able to Lyft to the park for less than $10 bucks per ride avoiding the parking fees at the park. They had a restaurant and small store available to purchase drinks and snacks. They had a limited options though. Luckily there were stores and fast food options close by. Just a 3 min walk next door. Our room was clean and spacious with high ceilings. The ac worked great as it was 100 degrees for the 2 days we were there. We took to the pool which was a great amenity to combat the heat. I used the gym as well-small but definitely had what I needed- dumbbells, treadmill and spin bike. Overall this was a great stay and recommended if you're going to the Park!

I didn't understand because what is the purpose of a reservation if you can't reserve what you need? They proceeded to explain to me that "because I booked through a third-party (such as Expedia) that there's no guarantee on what room you get." I paid $282.34 and didn't get my reserve room? Well we uncomfortably stayed in the king room with a rollaway one night we requested the second night to be moved if two queens became available, which it did. They offered us free parking and one free breakfast for the four of us but I still would've rather had the two queens to accommodate our family. The breakfast: substandard, and we received a bill and were told it was taken care of, but we had to fill in for a tip. It was buffet style and for four people the breakfast would've been $105.00 for bare basics... you could tell none of the food was made there. It was probably shipped in frozen then thawed, such as pancakes and eggs made from powder and water. Watered down juices. No pastry selection. Just really basic. Not worth $26 a breakfast. And asking for a tip when I serve myself buffet style didn't make sense. McDs would have been comparable but cheaper. Next night we were able to move to the two queen beds, but the room they put us in smelled crazy intensely like cigarette smoke the minute you walked in. We requested to change rooms and that was not a problem at all. We asked for extra towels, but we had to go to the desk to get them ourselves. After checkout on the next morning, one of the receptionists was kind enough to get me a cup of tea even though the breakfast bar was closed, so that was nice. Couple days later $15 charge appeared on my credit card so I called to ask why and they said it was a day parking fee (which was supposed to be waved) After having to call back to speak to a manager and a couple days later, the fee was refunded. While on the phone, I asked why you charge for parking when your website says free parking and the woman told me that "it is because I booked through Expedia". That just seems really weird to me. does your hotel charge for parking or not? The website says not and Expedia said not. So I'm confused. Just leaving this review, so people know what to expect if you book through Expedia or any other third-party like kayak or hot wire. The hotel staff was very nice and I guess did what they could to try to make up for it. Booking through Expedia (adding-I also did check their website and it did say they had two queen beds available at the same time I booked it, but the hotel staff said that doesn't matter because they don't communicate right away!) I would stay there again, but book directly through the hotel. I don't recommend the breakfast. It definitely wasn't worth $26 plus a tip for buffet style low budget food. And NO it is not a quick (or safe-lots of traffic) walk to Six Flags. The website says 0.10 mile but that is INCORRECT. It is 1.0 mile walking and 0.80 driving. Big difference if you were planning to walk.

They were also very accommodating with my room requests. The location is great, in a nice, safe-feeling area very close to Six Flags. I actually liked being on the freeway side because the noise doesn't bother me and I enjoyed the view of the park. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, although the bathroom floor could have been a little cleaner. I would prefer non-Dove toiletries. The Dove products have a very strong, chemical-like scent that smells cheap to me, and the bar soap practically disintegrated once it got wet. Our lotion dispenser was also accidentally filled with hand soap, but the front desk was very helpful and gave me a small bottle of lotion when I asked. I also wish weekend breakfast opened at 6:00 a.m. instead of 7:00. There were already about 10 people waiting when it opened. My biggest complaint was the room doors. I was awakened several times during the night by neighboring guests letting their doors slam behind them. The doors close extremely hard, and the sound travels down the hallway and into the rooms. I haven't noticed this issue at other IHG hotels I've stayed at. I really wish this property would install adjustable hydraulic door closers with controlled closing and latching speeds. Unfortunately, you can't count on every guest to be considerate enough to close their door quietly, so slower-closing mechanisms would make a huge difference. With that improvement, I honestly think this hotel would be pretty much flawless. The staff, service, location, and overall experience were great, and we would definitely stay again.

Hotel Stay Concern:…read more I am disappointed with my experience at this hotel and would like to share some concerns regarding both the service I received and the condition of my room. I arrived at approximately 8:36 PM and initially asked the front desk employee where the restroom was located. A few minutes later, I inquired about room availability and was immediately told that there were no rooms available. Shortly afterward, I had a minor emergency involving my child and left the property to find an urgent care facility. The urgent care I visited was no longer accepting patients, so I returned to the hotel about 20 minutes later. While sitting in the parking lot, I checked the Marriott app and noticed that a room was showing as available for booking. This was confusing because I had just been informed by the front desk that there were no rooms available. I went back inside and told the employee that I saw an available room online. I mentioned that I had previously been told there were no vacancies, and her response was simply, "Oh, that happens sometimes." I was able to check in, but the entire situation left me questioning why I had initially been told there was no availability. After settling into my room, I went back outside briefly to place my parking pass in my vehicle. When I returned, I politely asked the same employee about the welcome gifts I noticed sitting behind the desk. As a Marriott Gold member, I have typically received a welcome gift during previous stays. The employee responded by saying that the items were not gifts and were for guests who checked in, or something to that effect. Since she was standing at the desk with another customer but there was no active conversation taking place, I thought it would be appropriate to ask a quick question before returning to my room. Her response was, "I'll check when I'm done." At that point, I simply said, "Okay, just give me a call in my room and let me know," and walked away. While I understand that misunderstandings can happen, I felt that the employee's overall demeanor toward me was dismissive and unwelcoming. The combination of being told there were no rooms available when one became available shortly afterward, along with the interaction regarding the welcome gift, left me feeling uncomfortable. I cannot say for certain what the reason was, but I left the interaction feeling as though I was treated differently than I should have been. Additionally, the refrigerator in my room is making loud, continuous noises, which is making it difficult to relax and get proper rest. I hope management will review these concerns and address them appropriately to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Unfortunately they picked up where they left off with my last one star review. We opened our door to our room and you could hear the a/c handler in the ceiling, it was very loud in our room. How are you expected to sleep with all of that noise. Mind you, this is their executive suite. We immediately asked for another room. Sure as rain, our new room had the same very loud A/C system. Unbelievable! The entire hotel was experiencing A/C problems. The front desk had a portable A/C unit to keep them cool. The elevators were so hot inside, the hallways were very hot too. Thank goodness our room had decent air flow if you liked the noise it made. It's Saturday morning and one of the main elevators is broken. It's Sunday night and it's still broken. I'd think they'd pay the OT needed to get it fixed. Of course, I'm wrong. We went down early Sunday for breakfast way before the rest of the crowd showed up. They were serving eggs, and/or omelets. The line cook behind the counter asked me "What do you want?" Okay, good morning to you too. I placed my order and I was told no they were already out of bacon. It's Saturday early morning and you are already out of bacon? They only had sausage links and they tasted terrible. I was only given 1 sausage. I remember the days you could ask for as many as you could eat. I've been a loyal customer since the 1980's. The Embassy Suites has taken a back seat to other leading competitive hotels since being purchased by Hilton. The atriums are gone, the ducks are long gone, and eating a good and tasty breakfast is a thing of the past. No pancakes, no French toast, and no hash browns. The pastries are gone too. They served blueberry muffins from Smart & Final. They were terrible. Back in the day, they served a nice selection of pastries. Anything that's from the past is long gone. Hilton has taken a 3 to 4 star hotel and made them a 2 star hotel now. Everything about the Embassy Suites has gone into the mud. It's terrible here now, especially in Valencia. No information booklets are available to show you where all of the big attractions are. Nothing showed us where the local restaurants are, no general information about the hotel was noted. Somehow, the Embassy Suites has fallen to a new low. I'm not sure why the Hilton hotel chain has intentionally let this hotel fall from grace. It's truly sad. This used to be a great hotel to stay at. The Valencia location has hit a new low. I can promise you this, we will never stay at the Embassy Suites again. We will never ever stay at a Hilton owned hotel again. It's very sad to see the Hilton Hotel management team destroy one of their top hotel chains.. The evening drink specials and hors d'oeuvres has gotten extremely cheap in quality. Now you get one ticket for one drink only. WTF? Our room has two burnt out light bulbs. No one even cares to replace them. I'm staying in an executive suite and I feel like I'm treated like I purchased their cheapest room. You use to get a small gift basket that was left at your door with a few waters and snacks each night if you booked an executive room. Again, that's long gone too. I've probably stayed in 30 different Embassy Suites across the U.S. in my lifetime. When our kids were little, they loved it here. There were video game controllers in every room. I'd like to meet the clueless management team who made all of the cut backs for this once great hotel. Please do your due diligence and take a hard pass at the Hilton chain. They just don't care about their customers anymore. There are 231 reviews here on Yelp and the Embassy Suites in Valencia is only averaging 3.1 stars. That 3.1 star rating is very close to a failing grade. The GM of this hotel needs to take a hard look at the aesthetics that they've ignored. They've let this hotel slide into thendumpster. Maybe a new GM is in order here.

They had all the utensils you need to eat and cook with, pots, pans, cutting board, bowls, plates, cups, toaster....everything. They also already have dishsoap and sponge in the kitchen. They also have Netflix on our TV which we really enjoyed. Overall, even though we havent left yet, we're extremely enjoying our stay and its been a great last HOORAH, coming back from our disneyland trip. We would definitely come back to stay again.
