We love all the amenities that come with the complex. We love the relaxing atmosphere, pool, gym and all the amazing shops and restaurants we have around. Most importantly the team and maintenance team makes Courts of Devon an Amazing experience. The maintenance team provides high quality service. They go above and beyond for the residents. They care deeply about their community and get any job done immediately and it's completed within less than a hour for us, the same day!!!! They are seriously the BEST maintenance team in the DMV (Pedro, Luis, and Aldo) thank you guys for everything. Kurt works in the rental office (marketing and management team) and he is truly a compassionate and caring person with "High Quality Leadership Values and Skills." My view in the morning of the particular unit that would be available was just that- overlooking the parking lot. It also appeared that there was a lack of diversity in both culture and ages. But that could had been the timing of my tour. On the plus side, they do offer community events for tenants to mingle. That I thought was a big plus. And the large windows in the living room were appealing. But I decided , I needed something larger and more eye appealing with a diversity of tenants of all ages and backgrounds.

I understand that the building is a shared space, other people and stores but it has gotten to be unacceptable. I have spoken with several residents who are having the same issue and have never had ROACHES before the past several weeks, probably due to the building being cheap and cutting the hours of the cleaners from what i can tell cleaners used to be here everyday. I would see them cleaning outside where dogs pee on the planters, vacuuming the hallway using fabulouso as a spray which is known to repel roaches 3x a week and now they do it once. I have seen THREE dead roaches in the hallways alone within the last week. The entry way smells like urine unless the cleaners are there that day. Sanitary drains leak in the parking garage. The office does not allow us to use the dumpster in the loading dock and then send out emails threatening to fine us if we leave something in the trash room or if the trash room is over full due to the cleaners not coming everyday. I have had the exterminator come, they said we do not specifically have a bug problem in our apartment but we will continue to see them due to the fact they are in the WALLS and move apartment to apartment. They come from underneath the front door, through drains, under the cover panels of light switches. Management has continued to decline, The building has continued to worsen and become disgusting. The building has to use several automatic airfreshers to hide the trash smell. By all means come and take a tour to see it for yourself. Please enjoy the smell of vanilla trash juice in the hallway, sewage that will ruin the paint on your car leaking from duct taped pipes, and BUGS. Make sure to go to other floors than the 1st floor because they tend to keep the lobby and the 1st floor in tip top shape.

When I moved in one of my blinds was broken, and maintenance replaced it right away. A couple months ago my garbage disposal started to leak badly and had to be replaced. Maintenance took care of it right away, and I haven't had a problem since. There is new management since around last November, and the front office staff has always been friendly and courteous. They are proficient at their work and they clearly care. The building was completed around 1971, but it is in good condition and some of the apartments are in the process of getting upgraded. We have a community room here, a fitness room, an outdoor pool and tennis courts, and a little market. I enjoy being a short walk from the Gaithersburg library, CVS, and Lakeforest Mall. Weis grocery store is not far either, a bit further from the library. The 59 bus comes right outside the front entrance of Walker House. I haven't had any trouble with power or pests. I feel confident recommending Walker House to others who are looking for a comfortable, laid-back place to live.
