The concrete job was done well. However, we paid before the job was finished and then they were unresponsive until called several times to come finish their work. On top of this I was asked if they could borrow our push broom. Of course I said yes, as I assumed they had forgotten theirs. I come out to check to see if they were finished and they had left without saying anything and stole our push broom and replaced it with their broken one?! Our push broom was wood on the base and you could unscrew the handle from it. Also it didn't have yellow bristles which is how we knew it wasn't ours. read more

This the worst company I could have hired to pour a stamped concrete patio in my backyard. If you hire this company after reading this review you have been warned. Thier website looks great, the salesman Rick seemed experienced and honest. He wrote the contract to include a step along the side of the patio and wire mesh to be installed prior to the pour, neither happened. The owner name is Lino, he was there when the job was being done. Even after I insisted for Lino to add the wire mesh and the step and showed him the contract including it he still would not put it in. He said that with fiber mesh concrete it wasn't necessary. If that was the case why his his sale rep include both in the contract? The work was so sloppy, the forms he used was thin-flexible fiber board which could not hold the weight of the wet concrete resulting in wavy uneven edges. It hasn't even been three years and the patio is full of cracks, everywhere. We are so dissatisfied. After what became a confrontation in my backyard the owner, Lino, agreed to take some money off the price but that doesn't even come close to resolving the problem, after all..., how does one repair a terrible patio after it has been poured. My advice to anyone looking for a stamped patio is to go elsewhere. If could leave a negative rating I would. read more

Residential Concrete Works was scheduled on Tuesday 9/26 to replace & expand my driveway, remove the wooden patio in the back yard & pour a larger concrete patio, pour a small patio in front of my house & replace the bottom step (only) of my 2 step concrete front porch. The quote for this ENTIRE project was $19,800, provided by Rick. Lino (the owner) called Monday & asked if they could start that afternoon. I agreed to this, even though I was at work & would not be home until around 6 PM. When I arrived home the crew had already left, but I saw they had removed my ENTIRE front porch. When I spoke to Lino about this, his initial response was "It would not have looked good without replacing the entire porch". When questioned about this, he responded that the porch was hollow. I have no way of knowing if it was or not, since it was already destroyed. He quoted me $1,100 to replace the porch. To accommodate this expense, I decided to not have the front patio poured. Lino suggested I have a smaller front patio poured. At this point, I informed Lino that I was not willing to pay a penny more than $20,000 for the entire project & he agreed to this. I also agreed to change the original plan for two curved steps on the back patio to one long rectangular step. When the project was completed Tuesday afternoon, Lino's son requested payment of $20,300. I told him I would write a check for $20,000 but was not paying the additional $300, as discussed with Lino earlier. After calling Lino, the son accepted the payment. Two days later, I noticed a large crack in the concrete leading up to & running alongside the front porch. This crack is rapidly expanding. I have contacted Rick and Lino multiple times regarding this crack. Lino finally called back on Friday 10/6 after I threatened to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. He said he would contact me Monday or Tuesday of the following week to schedule a time to come out & repair the crack. I never heard another word from him. Other issues with this job: 1. When Rick prepared my quote, I asked him about the downspout extensions & concrete drainage troughs for my gutters. His response was that they would no longer be needed & would be removed. They were indeed removed, leaving my downspouts draining directly onto the concrete. It cost me an additional $900 to have a different company redirect these downspouts so they are draining onto the ground, not the concrete. 2. I recently had the sewer pipes replaced from my house to the street. When this was done, 2 access points with covers were placed in my front yard. The crew damaged the access point closest to the house. When I brought this to Lino's attention, he said it would be repaired when the job was completed. It is still damaged & it is impossible to put the cover back on. 3. When the old patio was removed, it was agreed that the existing support posts for the patio cover would be used with the new patio. One of the support posts on the back patio is leaning at about a 95° angle. The support post on the front porch (that was not supposed to be removed to begin with) is also leaning at about a 95° angle. 4. Last summer I purchased a hose reel cart, heavy duty hose & nozzle. The crew used this hose & nozzle during installation of the patio in the back yard. They left the hose unreeled across the back yard with the water running. And the new nozzle is covered in concrete. 5. The crew left trash (wrappers, empty bottles & cans) all over my back yard. 6. Even though the project was completed over 2 weeks ago, no one has come back to remove the stakes & molding around the patio. 7. When the job was originally quoted Rick told me I would be able to walk on it 3 hours after it was completed & drive on it after 48 hours. When the job was completed, I was told by Lino's son that I couldn't walk on it for 24 hours & couldn't drive on it for 7 days. I called Rick & he then said I could walk on it after 8 PM (about 5 hours after it was completed) & drive on it in 48 hours (Thursday afternoon). I waited until Friday morning to drive on it, just in case. The quote was for the higher grade concrete so it could be walked & driven on sooner, but I'm not convinced that is the concrete actually used. read more

Would give zero stars if I could! Had a lot of concrete work done by these guys last March. New Driveway, New Sidewalk and New Stamped Concrete Patio. The job was hurried, sloppy and of course did not hold up. They used a dull blade to cut the stress lines in the patio and chipped it all along the cuts. Already have cracks in both the driveway and the sidewalk and the patio is chipping and cracking. They are unresponsive and if you do happen to get Lino he never comes when he says he will. The one year warranty is a complete joke because he never comes. Concrete chunks left everywhere, concrete all over the garage door. They cut one of our waterlines for our sprinkler system and then just poured concrete right over it without saying anything to us. Cost us more money as we had to have a company come and completely redo our sprinkler system. 100% Trash company. Work looks nothing like the pics on their website. Beware! We paid a lot of money to have it looking like an unprofessional job in just a year's time. Find another company even if it costs a bit more money. The concrete patio we had put in looks nice but the crew left trash everywhere! We are still finding litter from a month ago- wrappers, cans, etc. A coffee cup was left on the concrete and we now have a permanent mark where they left their trash. The crew made a mess of the outside of the house; we had to get a pressure washer to clean up. They were unresponsive when we inquired about them coming back to pick up their mess and fix the trash mark. Get some garbage bags and have some respect for others property! read more

Our experience with Residential Concrete has been horrible. We started this in late March as we had a backyard event in late May and we were assured the timing would work. They were hired for a walk out basement stairwell and landing and then offered us a deal on new patio. So... - They arrived right away and poured a patio and sidewalk along side of house to garage. in process of jackhammering old patio, they broke and moved bricks that were supposed to be their straightedge and poured a very crooked and jagged edge to our be patio. (promised to fix by cutting... never did) This was a Friday. said they'd be back Monday to remove forms. never showed up . My husband removed forms . - Next we had a one man (sometimes two) crew come sporadically to work on framing for the walol- out project. Granted we had rain off and on, but there were weeks of no work going on. In the meantime there is a huge pile of dirt in our yard killing our grass, and in our neighbor's side yard... testing their patience and kindness. - Two months later Lino gets pressured to get here and pour the stairs as our event is days away. Lino removes only 2/3 of the dirt and spreads the rest over our lawn... buries sprinkler components that his crew had cut... breaks a tree limb ... has his crew pour stairs with no rebar reinforcement and a shoddy, slanted landing.... leaves dirt all over our street promising to return to power wash (never shows up), and to add a final punch walks away with our two shovels! leaving us to go buy a new one to try to deal with the damn mud now slathered all over our lawn. we made it through our event with a good portion of our yard looking like a farmyard.... and our street out front looking a mess. - what we are left with is a shoddy walk out enclosure that WE have to finish, a sprinkler company coming out for a repair job, a crooked side to a patio that has already started pitting, dirt still in the street, a slanted landing, a no shovels. Unfortunately, if I could give no stars, that is what I would have to do. Initially I was happy with the job they did on my driveway. Less than a year later, the driveway is already cracking with huge spots of loose concrete. My friend stated they use too much sand in their concrete. I had Lino come out, he seen the problem, and he was supposed to come out 2 weeks from that point to repair. He never did. This year 2023, I used Residential Concrete Works again to do the new addition room for my son who's serving the US Marine, they did the back porch, driveway, sidewalks and front porch. We asked for stamped concrete and they quoted us the price. Once they were done pouring and levelling, I asked when they would do the stamp and they said they usually do it the next day. I called the next day when no one showed up and they said it was way too late to do the stamp and I should have told them to do it the day before. Basically the boss hadn't been detailed with the employees. Very frustrating as concrete is obviously permanent and can't easily be removed. read more

They arrived on a very rainy day, did the job quickly, left messes for me to clean up and left a dent in my new siding since the workers were throwing the hammer around after removing the boards. I asked Lino to repair it but after a month he never did. I contacted him again and asked for $50 and I would do the repair myself. He agreed to it but never followed through. !!WARNING!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Where do I even start with this one? I was away on business when LINO the owner showed up at the house unexpected. We had planned on going with a different company but my wife felt pressured by LINO, who practically forced his labors into the yard and started to work - so I went with it hoping for the best. I texted LINO a line drawing of what I wanted. What I got was an abomination!! The workers were young unexperienced boys (friendly but didn't speak very good English). The work was sloppy, uneven, broken, messy, non-symmetrical and just down right ugly!! Nothing like the pictures he had showed. The line drawing of the path I had sent over was straight along the side of the house. What I got was a curvy path with a sudden uneven tapered ending into the stairs of my deck. If the install wasn't bad enough the clean-up was worse. They left concrete foot prints all over my driveway and street. They had also broke a piece of foundation off, broke my fence, and got stain everywhere. When the owner came by to collect payment, I refused to pay full price and expressed my complaints to him. I hired this company to redo part of my driveway and my back patio. after pouring the back patio the wrong color and the front driveway looking absolutely terrible stained and chipped in numerous spots they did agree to come out and re-pour. however the second job was no better. I was given a small refund for the front driveway but now the back patio has numerous cracks all the way through and it's 2 weeks old.I do not believe the concrete was reinforced since one area where the crack is is pulling away already. the posts that hold up my back porch we're supposed to be bolted on top they are now in the concrete. There are numerous edges that have honeycombing and the stamp job is very very sloppy .There are areas that are uneven and jagged in several spots. Some areas have extra concrete debris that they just glazed over and didn't even bother to remove first. They did not pick up after themselves and left my yard a complete mess. I have been told by this company that I am wrong and the work they did is fine but three other highly recommended companies have disagreed. Save you money and hire someone else. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Lino was extremely rude, disrespectful and frankly verbally aggressive when I questioned the terrible concrete work he and his team did. I have a cracking patio (after only 5 days!!!) that is slopped toward my home causing water to build up next to the foundation, its flaking and completely uneven. THEN WE FOUND OVER $500 in damage done to our existing landscape after he put in the patio. Absolutely the worst concrete work I've ever seen. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Lino only returned my calls after I stopped payment on his check and then continued to call and argue with me for an entire day during which conversations he told me to "shut up and listen" and "stop arguing" I will never work with Residential Concrete Works again. read more

Stay away from this company unless you want a half done rushed job with concrete cracking within months. Lino is the head of the company and employs a large team - including some of his young children. He will squeeze in 3-4 jobs in one day leaving little to no time for yours. We used him for colored and stamped concrete. He may be the cheapest but you will pay for it in the end when you have to fix his work or re-do all your concrete. He promised us many things that he then never did and lied directly to us. 1. Lino promised to use gravel and wire mesh under concrete to prevent cracking and just threw down a few pieces of metal 2. Our contract specified a 4 in pour and for our hot tub pad a 6 in pour - he promised he would bring in a machine to dig out the ground and could make the cement level with the grass - he did none of that. He refused to spend any time digging out the dirt at all and when we argued about it he threatened to leave. He then agreed to go 1 inch deeper but then instead of actually digging our an inch he ended up just pouring our pads 1-2 inches thinner - in the end our concrete was 2-3 inches thick in most places including the hot tub pad! (TWO MONTHS LATER THERE IS ALREADY TWO BIG CRACKS IN OUR CONCRETE!!!) 3. He refused to cover the concrete after pouring it despite the forecasted heavy rain even after I argued with him about it. He stated it's okay if it rains lightly on it - that day it poured and our whole side walk has flaking and spots in it from the heavy rain damage which is now permanent and likely the concrete is weaker. (basically he was in a rush to get to another job and didn't want to do it - we talked to another person whose concrete he did and he did cover theirs) 4. He never gave us color or pattern choices prior to showing up that day and then told us we had 10 minutes to decide. He also didn't explain how the coloring works - I learned later you can use a few different powders to get a better more realistic look 5. He over-poured many of the sides so that big chunks of concrete came out into out grass or flower beds - he would have left it until we demanded he use a saw to remove it 6. He failed to show up on the day scheduled and when we finally got ahold of him he told us he had to reschedule. 7. He came to seal the concrete at dusk and we could barely see what he was doing - the next day we found many areas that were missing sealer or where there were large drip pours of it which are now permanent 8. He told us we could walk on the sealed concrete within 6 hours - which left some permanent marks - it didn't actually dry for over 24 hours 9. He quoted use a larger surface area than he poured and only reduces the price after I brought it up after I hand measured the whole thing 10. They spattered concrete all over our brick house and garage and didn't clean it off 11. They concreted above and up onto our stucco wall to get the right slop instead of digging out the dirt below 12. They didn't put any separator between the concrete and our stucco garage wall - we plan to try to seal the crack ourselves to prevent water damage and cracking 13. They poured concrete over an electrical access box on a wall so that it wouldn't be accessible - when I had them try to fix it they couldn't because it would mean changing the slope - which they hadn't calculated - so instead he made the area into a bowl which now just collects water and brings it towards our garage foundation every time it rains. - we plan to try to repour concrete in the hole ourselves but it will never match. 14. The lines of a straight sidewalk were not straight - I had to be on top of them correcting them constantly. They failed to move a rock that was in the way (which would have been easy to move) and it left a big indent into the side of the straight sidewalk edge. 15. The stamped concrete lines were rushed and very poorly done - we had him come back with a saw to try to fix some - he literally just missed many of the lines. The saw lines didn't liik the same as the original stamp. read more

They didn't show up on the day they were scheduled. We called to see what was going on and they basically said "oops" and so we rescheduled for the following morning. The next day they again don't show up. We called again and the person who answered said she'll call the owner and find out what's going on. An hour later someone calls me and says his guys are in Parker(!) but he wants to get me done today too so he'll call when he's finished down there. Again nobody calls or shows up at our house to do the job. I'm guessing all these guys do is work on whatever job pays them the most. Very unprofessional and from the review above I have to say I'm glad they never bothered to show up. read more

They had to remove rock to put in a walkway around the side of the house. They hauled the rock away and never brought it back. Now there's a dirt section about 18" wide the length of my whole house that is dirt and concrete debris. Now I have to buy rock and landscaping fabric (which I already had), pay to have it delivered (because I don't have a truck), rent a wheel barrow all because they didn't leave my rock out on the street. It wouldn't have been difficult for them to use the wheel barrows on the back of their trucks and get the rock off the street and put it back, it would have been an easy task for them. Now it has turned into a huge project pain in the butt project for me. I didn't hire someone to do concrete so I would have to finish the job myself. Thanks Lino. read more

STAY AWAY! Residential Concrete was an absolute waste of time. Had four separate start dates they said they would be on site to start. Not once did they show and not once did they let me know ahead of time. It wasn't until I called several times that I would get a text back promising they would begin the next day. Finally I let them know I had found someone else to do the concrete patio. Within 10 minutes the owner called, promising he was in his car on his way over to begin. Had I not needed the project done ASAP I would have told him to turn around. However as usual he never showed up and never answered or returned my phone call. Horrible job Lino said he could fix my basement slab it was cracked. They poured to much concrete so the floor is 4 inches higher than it was (Lino is yelling out the window stop pouring its to much). It cracked again within a month. Lino said it had a one year warranty but refused to fix anything. Then after arguing he tells me I have a water problem.. I have no water problem he doesn't know what he is doing. If I did have a water problem then he couldn't fix it and shouldn't have said he could. I wasted 4000 dollars. They suck don't use them. read more

HORRIBLE Experience. Had the work done in November. We asked if it was a good idea to do the work when a blizzard was going to be coming. Got told it would be fine and that they would put insulated blankets on it for 5 to 7 days. They came in and rushed the job before the storm, put blankets on it and 2 days later we come home and they had come into our backyard without telling us and removed a big section of the blankets and dumped all the wet, frozen snow on our brand new patio. When we called, we got told they needed them for another job so they came and took them. So of course when the snow finally went away, we had spalling spots all over our patio (over 40 spots). Called in March, he finally fixed it in November. He originally offered us two options to fix it. Do an aggregrate finish over the whole top or patch in the holes and stain it with a color. When we questioned how long the stain would stay, he said one to two years. At that time, we decided we wanted the aggregate finish but he then backed off and said he wouldn't do that fix anymore and our only option was the patch and stain. We let him do that since it's all he would agree to do. We just had our house painted and asked them to please make sure to not get the stain on the house. And of course, guess what we got..... stain on our brand new painted house. This company can't do anything right. You can see where all of the holes were patched still and I'm sure it will continue to have issues. When we complained to the BBB that we wanted the other warranty option he had originally offered us, Lino then started trying to offer us money to remove our complaint. On top of all of these issues, Lino was very argumentative and the way he insulted us and talked to us as customers was appalling. Don't waste your time with this company unless you want a rushed, crappy job. And then he'll tell you, "Oh that's concrete, that's what happens." And then will tell you what a favor he is doing for you when he has to cover it under warranty. Lino is a joke and should not be able to have a business and treat customers that way. read more

THIS COMPANY IS VERY UNETHICAL. The work they did was sloppy and cement was thrown everywhere on my plants, and the brick pavers were totally covered with cement slop. Their contract said they guaranteed their work for 1 year for any cracks, etc. We had a crack within one week. I called and got the run around. They were always coming the next day to fix the problems and Never Showed. They certainly got their money though and took off without asking for us to inspect their work. The walkway is a mess. They do not speak English very well, so it is hard to talk with the contractor in charge. The person coming to give the estimate is very personable, but obviously has no say in what happens with the actual work. Many phone calls were made to them and unanswered. We have a lot of repair work to do ourselves to clean up their mess. Please save your hard-earned money and do not use this company. Such a shame to have to write a review like this...it is a first for us. read more

Disappointed! Wish I had read the reviews. Nice family members who did show up when they said for the initial visit to do our cement walkway, but the work was disappointing, as the concrete lines are uneven, the stairs are not level, 2 sprinkler lines were cut (Lino Jr did help my husband fix it with our parts) and bad coloring on the cement. I wish that I had not paid full price until the job was completely finished, as we have no recourse for a refund or having the walkway redone. Lino's children did try to support us but Lino never showed up to see the final job or talk about our concerns. read more

When we called for a quote they were very professional and were able to get someone (Lino, the owner) right away to give us a quote. Lino arrived early and gave us a quote on the spot and said it would only take one day to complete. His quote was much lower than other companies. He promised we would be happy with the results. Came over a few weeks later when we decided we wanted to go with Residential Concrete Works and we picked out our stamp pattern and concrete color and scheduled a day for work to begin. We waited all day and they never showed up. After calling Lino repeatedly we finally called the office and they sent guys over to begin digging (even though we weren't home at that point). The next day they arrived on time but Lino's brother was the one doing the work. Lino never wrote down the stamp pattern or color that we wanted or and we had to leave for a previously scheduled event (remember, it should've only taken one day, but they didn't arrive till the evening on the scheduled day). When we got home it was a different color and pattern than we had requested and they ran out of concrete part way through the job. It took them several days to come back and finish the work, and when they did, it was a different color and the stamp pattern wasn't as deep. Lino tried to argue with us that it was the same color and even tried to collect payment. We told him we would not pay and would file with the BBB if he didn't fix it. He finally agreed and they tore out the section that was a different color and then repoured it. It STILL wasn't the same color and the stamp pattern was a different direction. Lino came over and rather than fixing it, he gave us $1000 off of the price. I would've preferred it to be fixed because now it is not flush with our driveway and I trip over the higher lip every time I walk on it. Also, the glaze they put on top has bubbles in it, they over poured parts of the concrete so there are large portions that are poured into our rocks and they never bothered to clean it up, and the stairs they poured are huge and take up 1/3 of the patio. I am so unhappy with it and wish we had went with a company that cost more....maybe then we would have gotten quality results. I honestly want to tear it out and put in something else. read more

We hired Residential Concrete Works to remove an existing driveway, front stairway, walkway and tiled patio in the back. They designed a new front porch to include a patio, new driveway and back patio is also stamped and colored. The stamp design and color was chosen at time of the estimate. They have a large catalog with lots to choose from. They scheduled the work and showed up on time and completed with no issues. All work was done while I was there and they did everything that was supposed to be done (with wire mesh, gravel, etc.) and we are happy with the outcome. The only issue we had was having them return to seal when they said they would, but calling the office was no problem as they were always very nice to deal with and happy to assist. They sent someone over to seal. It wasn't due to workmanship, but schedules. Lino does everything he can to make sure I was happy with the work and we are pleased with their work and have recommended them to neighbors and friends who have also used them with no complaints. I've uploaded photos but don't have any before photos to see the transformation. I've also read the other review and can say from my experience that they didn't have any young children employed or working at our job site in the two days. read more

I have to echo the reviews of the customers of Residential Concrete! Lino and his crew showed up several hours late (only after I made a call to find out where they were) and, though he had presented a contract a few months ago, acted like it was the first he had seen it. He said he couldn't do the work at the amount first quoted and asked me to add $200 to the contract price. He said he quoted the original price during the cold months when they didn't have alot of work and now that they are busy he couldn't do the work at the quoted price. At our first meeting I told him that we could not commit to having the work done until spring/summer, so I'm not sure why he didn't take that into consideration when we first met. Nevertheless, I reluctantly agreed to the increased price. The work was rushed and very sloppy. They splashed concrete all over my fence and house and newly paved patio and left gobs of concrete in corners and elsewhere. They didn't bother to clean any of it up. I had to remind them more than once to lay rebar and conduit for path light wires. He promised to lay mesh to make the concrete sidewalk stable but instead they just laid down a couple pieces of metal. They broke our privacy fence and destroyed our gate. On top of all that, they didn't bother to remove the existing pebble path and dig to an appropriate level. They just poured the concrete on top of everything and so the sidewalk sits 4-5 inches above grass level! It looks ridiculous!
