I would rate their work 4/5 stars. I would rate the professionalism and customer skills 1/5 stars. Scheduling was difficult, getting ahold of Nick was tough and he preferred to text over call. Colorado weather is difficult and i'm sure they are busy, but not knowing the day or week a contractor will show up is a difficult ask after paying a deposit. Upon arriving at my house the owner didn't introduce himself or greet me in anyway, rather "is the back gate unlocked?". Subsequent times the crew followed suit and wouldn't talk or make eye contact with me when I attempted to greet them. It was odd to feel like a burden in my own home. As I said the work looks good, but they didn't tell me when they were finished or offer to see if there was anything not up to my expectations. They just left and then asked for payment via email a few days later. It would have been great if they swept the concrete, leveled out the rock they moved and the small finishing touches. read more

We worked with Nick as the Project Manager, and he was very knowledgable and great at getting back to us with any questions we had throughout the process (whether before the project, during, or after). We had some unique requests as well, and they were able to fulfill those without a problem. For my concrete project I needed to tear out an existing patio and have a new one poured. I contacted several companies for estimates on this project and Denver Concrete's estimate was in the middle tier. In working with Michael he was very responsive to all of my questions and in getting my project scheduled as soon as we finally decided to move forward. I recently had my front stairs and patio replaced by Denver Concrete and I am very pleased with the results. I called many companies that either didn't call me back or had a minimum project size that far exceeded what I needed. Michael allowed me to set up an appointment for an estimate quickly and the work was done within a week. The whole job was done in one day, including demolition of the existing concrete. I was a little nervous as my house is 90 years old and stucco walls surround the patio. Michael and his crew were careful and any damage was avoided. Nothing major but I subtracted half a star for clean up as I found chunks of concrete some trash and a few cigarette buts in my yard afterwards. Overall I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend DCC. read more

Denver Concrete recently completed a large project for us on the main entrance of our historical building. This project was tricky because of the size and scope of what we were dealing with, and since it's a historical building, you never really know what you're getting into and what you're going to find under the surface. Rob came out to bid the project and I knew from the questions he was asking that him and his crew were up to the task and going to do a top-notch professional job. He went into asking specific questions that I hadn't even thought of, and he did so in such a professional and educational manner that I came away from our meeting learning a ton of information. You always know the good contractors, because they're the ones that really get excited and nerd out when they tell you about their process. These are the ones that take it seriously, and their passion really comes through. We got a few bids back, and although Denver Concrete wasn't quite the cheapest, I knew that they were the only ones that had the experience and knowledge to effectively take on any unforeseen challenges they would (and did) encounter. Denver Concrete worked around our schedule, and Rob was onsite with the crew nearly the entire time which was extremely helpful. The whole crew was polite and professional and Pablo did a commendable job directing everybody, and man, does that guy have forklift skills! They finished on time even after some unexpected added challenges, and the whole project looked way better than I could have ever imagined. They were even able to match the new concrete with the old concrete next to it (over 50 years old). Although I normally don't write reviews, I came away impressed and I wanted to share how great of a job these guys did, I'm still getting compliments on this project 6 months later! Came out for a quote, got us scheduled for work and did a great job removing the old patio and installing a new one. But during the entire process did not tell us they would cut our stamped patio in half (apparently to keep it from cracking). Came out one day and cut it straight down the middle and never warned us. It was a total surprise when I saw our patio later that day. Took over two months of phone calls before they would come out and talk to us about it. They offered to come back in a few months when it got warm to clean and reseal the patio as compensation for the miscommunication. It's been two months since they promised to come out and we are still waiting. Bottom line: overall the work is good. Make sure you ask about expansion cuts because they are not upfront about that and if you have any issues the customer service and follow through sucks. read more

Michael was my main point of contact form the get go. He was very knowledgable and polite. He was able to have two crew members come out within two weeks to reseal my old stamped and colored patio. Unfortunately my experience was not great with this company. I submitted an inquiry for a Bid on their website and was contacted via email by Michael Hantge to schedule an appointment. We agreed on Monday (5/15) at 4:00pm. I left early from work to meet Michael at 4:00pm only to receive a call after 4:00 that he is running late and that he would be out around 5:00pm. I understood and agreed to the new time. Long story short, Michael never came by at 5:00pm and also didn't bother to call or return my voicemail. I am the head of an HOA for a fourplex and over the last few months we discovered that two of the back patios had significant wash out. One patio had a 5-foot chasm underneath it and was starting to wash away the foundation. I had three separate companies look at the situation to provide quotes and Denver Concrete was by far the most reasonably priced. This was not a small project as one of the patios was 10 ft by 25 ft and the other was 10 ft by 20 ft or so. Nick and his team did a fantastic job with the project. These were some of the easiest people I have had to work with and I really appreciated that. I was pretty worried about the project because 1) it wasn't simple and 2) I've had numerous bad experiences with contractors, but these guys did some quality work. We had a large project, over $10k worth of work completed by Denver Concrete Company in July of 2015. We noticed that we had some drainage issues and they came back with reluctance to dig up and re-pour that area. They also had to come back after this to patch an area that was damaged due to the rip out. This took a bit of time to happen. The problem is we are still dealing with drainage issues. The pad is slopped towards our garage and water will drain/flow into our garage. We have sent emails and called numerous times and have only received one call back, saying that Mike or Nick would call back, but that hasn't occurred. Still waiting. Very unhappy! read more

The worst. Cracks within one month. Sloppy work. Clumps of concrete found in numerous corners. Wrong stamped pattern used. Cuts through (wrong) pattern not consistent with pattern lines. Destructed trim and house paint when they power washed but refused to acknowledge responsibility. Difficult to deal with. Cheap, but you get what you pay for. Nothing we can do to fix this disaster. Called Denver Concrete Company so that I could have my back patio re-poured such that it would be graded appropriately away from the home. I was getting ready to move in a couple weeks and only had a limited time to get the project done before my new tenants moved in. I worked with Michael Hantge who was responsive to my inquiries, came out to give me a quote, scheduled a date within my limited timeframe and executed the project professionally. He responded to my email inquiries and kept me in the loop of any changes. They did a great job with the concrete pour and took the extra effort to make sure that the concrete was appropriately graded on both my side of the patio as well as my neighbors, where a small sliver of the concrete slab went under the dividing wall. Concrete initial pour was fine but immediately cracked in one section. Unbelievable how many times I had to text, email and call to get it fixed. Unbelievable how many times Nick said he would come over then didn't show up. First fix was to cover it with what appeared to be an off the home Depot shelf tub of concrete patch that didn't even match in color. Weeks of more follow ups ensued until it was finally fixed by repouring a section. Bricks on my garage and house came loose or cracked in half during that fix. Those were not fixed. Driveway ended up fine but would have paid more not to deal with the hours spent following up and wasting time waiting for Nick to not show up. Driveway spalling less than 2 years later and I'm told it's not easy to tell if it's because of concrete mix or salt, but some expressed doubts salt would cause extent of damage if properly mixed and sealed concrete. read more

They're a great company IF they do the job right the first time. We had Alex and his crew come out and pour our patio, walkway, and step. Everything looked fine for about a week. Then we noticed they forgot to include a French drain and our patio had cracked through in two places. We reached out right away to have both issues fixed and was told it would have to wait until Sept. (It was July.) So we waited and then started calling again. It is now Nov and between my husband and I, I think we have reached out over 100 times with no results. He always says they will come tomorrow or does not respond at all. I saw another similar review and they said "small claims court" so maybe that is where we are headed. read more

I'm a Civil Engineer (Highway Construction) for the Federal Highway Administration, so I'm probably extra-critical of this type of work. Having said that, I'm very happy with the work (4.5/ out of 5) - DCC did a 520sqft colored/stamped concrete patio for me, with removal of the old 300sqft concrete patio. Pablo (foreman) was able to answer all my questions and address all my concerns. When the crazy April Colorado weather did it's thing, they adjusted their schedule to ensure that no compromises were made in the construction (fresh concrete doesn't like rain, cold, wind or extreme heat). I was also very happy that they chose to use a pump trailer for the 9 CUYD (520sqft) of concrete, so that they weren't rushing to place the concrete before it set up. They were not the cheapest bid I received, but their customer service was excellent, they didn't appear to intend to "cut any corners", they were able to asnwer all my questions and concerns before, during and after construction, and they were willing to work with me on the price - all of which contributed to my overall satisfaction with the project! The reasons I wouldn't give a full 5 out of 5 are all minor but are as follows: 1) I had to ask the crew to remove the grass under a new area of patio vs. building the road base/patio right on top of it (corner cutting in my opinion) - but as stated above, they did so when I asked with little push back with I greatly appreciated, 2) the edge finishing and "key" into the existing grade around the patio could have been cleaner; I will have to go around and build up the top soil around the base of the new patio to cover up the exposed bottom of the concrete; the forms didn't go all the way to the ground in some locations. 3) overall the stamp looks fantastic, but there are one or two spots in the stamp where the stamps did not butt up perfectly leaving adjacent/redundant stamp lines, 4) the day they returned to seal the patio, they forgot to cut expansion joints in the surface, so I've had to ask them to return to do so (as much as I hate to mess up the beautiful stamp lines with a bunch of saw-cut joints, I know from the settlement of my old patio, that they will be important to have in the future). I considered these negatives to be all very minor things, and again am overall VERY happy with the work! I feel like I got a great product for a fair price; I will not hesitate to do business with them again in the future! read more

Professional service, and they completed all work as promised and showed up when they said they would. Concrete retaining wall and slabs have been in for over a year and they are performing well. I would have given 5 stars, but some concrete splatter went on adjacent wood siding. We didn't really notice it until after they had finished the job and left. It's very possible had we noticed it and contacted them about it they would have fixed it, but I don't know, we just took care of it ourselves. A little disappointing it happened, but it is concrete construction. I would still use them again. read more

Michael was very knowledgeable and walked me through every step of the process, listening to my ideas and my wife's ideas as well. I had an estimate complete with pictures and a guide of what to expect by the end of the day. DCC was on time at every part of this process. Jameson ran the crew and he was very helpful as well. I couldn't ask for a better experience with a construction crew. The patio looks beautiful. The yard was cleaned well. Hire Denver Concrete if you like: 1) Having someone not show up at your home to give initial bid. Yes, we should NOT have hired them after this. 2) Workers who don't show up when they say they will. This happened 3 times and it was NOT due to weather. 3) To pick up trash (plastic bags and cigarette butts!) in your yard after workers leave. 4) A simple job that was supposed to take several days stretching out to take a month. This was NOT due to weather. 5) Not being able to use your patio for almost a whole month of the summer. 6) Workers returning to your home multiple times (4!) to "tweak" their original job. Really gives you confidence that your job is being done correctly! 7) Looking at discolored spots on your patio for weeks. Again, gives you a lot of confidence in the job being done. 8) Thinking that the worker doing your job doesn't quite know what he is doing. 9) Not getting your phone calls returned in a timely manner. Longest time was 1 1/2 weeks and that was only after: 10) Threatening to report a company to the Better Business Bureau in order to finally get them to return your phone call to come back out to finish their work. 11) Being told work wouldn't be done when rain is expected (totally understandable) and then have work occur when rain is expected. That day's work washed away of course. 12) Being asked to wash off your patio because it's been a MONTH since the company power washed it and they need a clean surface to work on because they are STILL not done with your job. 13) A company that does not protect your exterior paint and trim from getting stain all over it. 14) Having to ask a company repeatedly to remove the stain they got all over your house. 15) Being lied to. Got told they "had something to take off" the stain on our house but what they ended up doing is buying paint and painting over it. We ended up having to remove the stain from the unpainted trim around the doors ourselves. 16) Paying thousands of dollars to go through the above experiences with not even an apology offered! Yes, the job is FINALLY completed but they were unprofessional and a nightmare to work with. Not to mention, when you go through experiences like the ones listed above, it does not give you confidence that a quality job was done. read more

This company has a great website so I was hopeful about working with them on replacing a crumbling section of driveway. Unfortunately, I am not sure I can recommend them. They have done no concrete work for me, but interactions with them have never gone well. They failed to show up for the first appointment for an estimate. After waiting a week I thought I would give them a second chance and called again. They were very apologetic and sent someone out the next day to take measurements. That was many weeks ago and I have never heard back from them with an estimate. I won't be calling them again since I don't want to work with a company I will have to pester to complete the job.
