I was kind of concerned because I had never heard of this place before but my worries quickly dissipated after I walked into the clinic. The techs were so wonderful and kind plus they ensured I was able to get all of the paperwork done far in advance to the appointment so I didn't have to rush when I came for my first visit. When I had back pain recently, my doctor recommended physical therapy, I went back to Synergy. I am just as impressed now as I was six years ago. The staff is very pleasant. They care about your recovery. The quality of care is excellent. What I like most it that they stay with you while you are doing the exercises to make sure that you are doing them correctly. The office is very clean, and the equipment is up to date. Once I finish physical therapy for my back, I am going to start physical therapy for my ankle.

I was in the lobby, since I arrived early, and I heard him talking with an elderly lady about her treatment plan. His kind tone, patience, and warmth in his voice as he spoke to her about her situation was incredible. He was so respectful and was mapping out what she needed to do with her other doctors to make sure everyone was on the same page. It was heart warming. I first needed to go to Dr Raj for my right shoulder. Within a month of PT my shoulder was back to normal. Then I lifted something that was very light and tweaked it, so back to Dr. Raj. Withing 2 weeks it was fixed and I haven't had any issues since then. Then the right hip started acting up so started the process with Dr. Raj. It's been a few weeks and it is starting to feel better and the limp is almost gone. I still have work to do on my hip, but I know Dr. Raj will get me back to my normal hip health soon.

During the first visit Raj assessed the problem, explained in detail his findings and his recommendations (which he shared with my doctor too). After several visits, the pain was gone. He continued then with methods that helped me gain strength to prevent future injuries and helped me regain normal range of movement. He used tools and methods that helped me during sessions, but also taught me how to replicate them at home. I am very thankful for his professional help and his caring personality.

After "minor" surgery for spinal stenosis, I was in more pain than I have ever experienced. Every waking hour. My left leg muscles would not respond due to nerve damage. Chronic, debilitating pain for 9 months. Slowly I felt improvement. Slowly pain lessened, balance and strength improved. It has been 17 months and I hope to "graduate" this fall. I was told that Renuka is the owner and the main therapist, so I assumed that she would be good. Oh, NO, was I wrong! I had a really BAD experience with Renuka and she did not help me at all. I waisted time and money. I feel that Renuka does not care about me at all. However, I noticed that Renuka treated a young patient after me with a completely different attitude and approach. She provided excellent service and was very patient with the young patient.

I've dealt with three other physiotherapists before him, both in the U.S. and overseas and I find that Alex has an amazing talent like no other. I would describe Alex's work like an auto mechanic to a car engine, able to be in synch with one's muscles to locate the issues; having the knack for finding the right spot, performs a couple of tweaks here and there, then he is able to work on releasing the problems. I'm so impressed with his work, I believe it's a gift that only a few handful of people in this world have. A majority of physiotherapists will take up most of your appointment time in getting you to do the recommended exercises which I do at home anyway. After a few stretches and muscle manipulation which take a good 15 minutes, you are asked to do the exercises straight away even if your muscles are weak and hurting. From my experience with Alex however, he first located my problem areas of muscle adhesion by releasing the tension or knots through dry needling, pressure point massages, and compression technique followed by a hot or cold compress to your liking. Helping my muscles heal and relax first through Alex's treatmentIt was not only beneficial but it was at this point where I really started to enjoy the exercises needed without so much pain. Finally, I feel very blessed to be in good hands. None comes near the caliber and care that I found at NDGait. Nicole is a miracle worker. I came to her with a dispaced sacro-illiac joint, compressed ribs, and oodles of other related issues. With knowledge, expertise and humor she sorted out all the problems with compassion. Her practice is one on one so her time was dedicated to helping me regain movement. She gave me exercises to do at home and within a matter of weeks I was good as new. Nicole's office is near BWI Airport so an easy trek from pretty much anywhere in Maryland. I promise having her counsel, advice and physical therapy is worth the trip.
