The owner yelled at the dog to "shut the **c* up" before removing it from the room, then proceeded to make excuse after excuse as to why a dog was even there in the first place w/o the family being informed. Our loved one had glue all over her face, blood still in her hair, and was on the sheets she was laid on. The room itself looked like a catch-all storage room rather than a place where a family should be able to say goodbye to someone they love. When we addressed these concerns, the owner, Ben, was argumentative and dismissive rather than understanding. He was, without a doubt, one of the most unprofessional business owners I have ever dealt with. On top of that, the man handling the obituary and urn, Dan, had to be resent the same information twice because he claimed he had received none of it other than the marriage certificate-even though approximately 90% of the information he needed was included in the exact same email. You would think a funeral home would understand that families are grieving and treat their loved ones and their families with basic dignity and respect. Instead, we paid $2,500 and were left feeling like our loved one was treated like a piece of meat. I'm sorry that we didn't have $10,000 to spend for what should have been a meaningful and respectful final goodbye. Every family deserves dignity, regardless of how much money they can afford to spend. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this funeral home to look elsewhere. Based on our experience, this was one of the most disrespectful, unprofessional, and upsetting experiences our family has ever had. We did receive a refund at the end.
