Little one and his mommy~Happily Ever After…read more Well this story is kinda like a Disney movie. It started off rough, not old school Disney's Dumbo rough but more like Pixar's Inside Out rough and ended with my little one and I having the sweetest nighttime moments. My heart swells with joy and pride when I think of how far we came with the help of Magda, our sleep consultant from Good Night Sleep. Here's our story: I have a 3 year old and a newborn. The 3 year old may have worn me down and we established not so healthy bedtime routines. There was a lot of stress leading up to the bedtime routine and honestly, I dreaded it. There would be tears, pleading, screaming that ultimately lead to me giving in and going in to lay with my toddler until he fell asleep. I thought it was a phase and I could deal with it but it wasn't and when the new baby came, I couldn't. That's when I reached out to Good Night Sleep and spoke to Magda. I remember feeling that I could breathe a little easier after that first call. Everything that I told Magda, she'd seen before and she was confident she could help us develop a nighttime routine that worked for our family. She did. She also helped me communicate it to my kiddo and get him excited about it. The first night.I was slightly terrified that first night but my little one surprised me and it went better than I could have dreamed. Was it easy, no. But he understood what was happening and every night after, it got better and better. Magda was also there every step of the way for two weeks to answer all my questions and adjust where needed. We've now had this new bedtime for 4 months and it's still going well. Instead of screening and crying, my night ends with hugs & kisses, and a night, night mommy...I Luv You. I'll take that fairy tale ending! I'm sure if you're doing your research and reading reviews, you're struggling in your own way with sleep. I would 100% say to Make the Call and Have a Conversation with their team of experts.

She was recommended to us from another twin mom and I am extremely thankful for that. Our twins were born at 37 weeks so we couldn't sleep train them until they were four months adjusted and it was a very long four months. Our girl twin was of the mindset that she didn't need sleep and our boy loved his sleep. A lot of twin parents live by the wake a sleeping twin rule but I just couldn't do that to my boy. We would spend 15 - 20 minutes bouncing, rocking, swaying them to sleep for them to only sleep about 15 - 20 mins. Even when they were little they didn't nap in bouncers or swings. It was crazy and so different from our first. I was losing my mind. At night (for all intents and purposes) they were decent sleepers but they were horrible nappers. Jennie did a really good job of talking us (me) off the ledge multiple times. The process was very seamless and easy and Jennie was very responsive. I was leary of working with someone out of state but soon realized that unless they were spending the night with us it didn't really matter. She never seemed far away. She is very down to earth and made us feel very comfortable with the whole process. It is the best experience and best money we have ever spent. I recommend it to anyone suffering and have even thought about becoming a consultant myself.

The lady, who was very polite, said they had the required CPAP (auto) machine and indicated that they were short of staff on Friday and could I come on Monday. I agreed and told her that I get out of work at 4 and should be there before closing at 5. On the Monday I arrived shortly before 4:40. I was told by a young man that I would need to be taught how to use the machine and that there wouldn't be enough time as it would take 30 minutes. So I'm doing a round trip of over 70 minutes in rush hour traffic(which I made clear to him) and this guy can't stay an extra 10 minutes! Especially since they didn't tell me there would be training involved. Suggested I come back later in the week while he was sitting at the desk doing nothing. There was no one else in the store except another staff member who was swinging back and forth in her chair while browsing on her phone. He didn't really care and again suggested I come back. I've been going to this location for about three years and its hit and miss. This is the second time I've had an issue here. Needless to say, my wife and I will doing business elsewhere. There seems to be an indifference to customer service. I don't know very many businesses that can't spare 10 minutes, but I guess that's not in their training. Good Luck

I admit that I usually reserve 5 star ratings for the places that really wowed me - and I honestly…read morecan say I was pleasantly 'wowed' by this place and the customer service of Benjamin Leung (or Ben). I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea, and my doctor had referred me to another CPAP clinic to get a machine. I had no clue that I could actually shop around, had I known I wish I came here first. After purchasing the machine, and being on it for the first week I was absolutely dying. I felt much worse then before I started CPAP therapy. I was a habitual mouth breather, and was on the "pillows" mask. I found I was still "leaking" a lot from the mouth and wanted to get a full face mask, thinking this may help improve things. I googled around and found MRC Sleep and Snore clinic on Leslie. They are located in the plaza right off of, and facing Leslie with the Tim Hortons. Upon walking in I was pleasantly greeted by Ben though he was in the middle of things with another client. I told him I would take a quick look around, and found that the selection there was quite excellent. They had a wide range of machines, a large number of face masks on display and other CPAP related items. The last place I went to, they had to constantly show me a mask, or show me this or that like everything was hidden away. It really helped to see the different kinds of masks. As Ben was quite busy, he suggested to perhaps book a formal appointment to sit down and discuss my concerns. I booked an appointment for the next day not expecting too much, as I had already purchased my gear and just wanted a face mask. As Ben was booking me in, he said that its not a problem he would be happy to provide service to me as eventually if things are good I would come back anyways - This comment goes a very long way in my book as it shows that hes more then happy to help even though there may not be a sale at the end. He mentioned that I should bring in all my equipment so he can take a look at things. The next day I came in for my appointment, again not expecting much and brought in all my gear. He instantly recognized all my gear, as I assume its pretty standard and began looking into my machine. As he was going through options on the menu he was explaining each and every option - which my last place did not! Ben re-calibrated a few things and it was night and day when he asked me to give it a try with the new settings. In particular, he turned on "EPR" i think its called. With a CPAP machine, its basically a constant stream of air pushing into you. So exhaling, or breathing out proved to be a bit challenging. EPR reduces the pressure when you exhale, making it easier to breath out. He explained that likely when I was asleep and trying to breath out, the pressure from my nasal mask was too great, and the air escaped through my mouth. And once my mouth started hanging open with the pressure pushing out, that I would then wake up. He continued to go through all the settings of the machine, explained the pros and cons of this machine vs another one. He also spent a great deal of time explaining how best to clean and maintain the machine. Something the last place didnt do for me. When I first got the machine I was over whelmed at all the instructions. The tube needs to be cleaned once a week, the humidity chamber needs to use distilled water and cleaned once a month or so, the nasal mask needs to be cleaned once a day etc etc. It was pretty crazy, but Ben was very gracious to break it all down for me and make sense of things for me. Something that again, my last place neglected to do. He explained all the different types of face masks, and said that while he would have no problem selling me a full face mask to perhaps go home and give it another try with the new settings. Again I was wowed, as he basically spent an hour going over everything with me even though there was NO SALE. The other place I went to spent a total of 30 minutes with me. I walked in, they sold me a machine, checked me out and went through some basic settings and off I went dazed and confused. Even though I called them back, they put me with some other "consultant". Actually when speaking to both "consultants" neither of them suffered from sleep apnea, so I have little confidence that they would know all the annoyances that may happen while using the CPAP machine. Ben not only works in the CPAP industry, he is also a user. So he had a lot of keen insight that the other people I dealt with failed to have. The experience with Ben was night and day. Going forward I would definitely recommend paying him a visit, as I will be for all my CPAP needs. Thanks Ben

I give the actual business 0 stars because they charge ridiculous prices for anything that isn't covered by ADP (the ontario subsidy for CPAP units). They literally were going to charge me an additional 600 dollars for an APAP (auto unit) and the mask was about 250. I looked online and found out these prices were ABOVE retail prices. I think this business gets away with doing this because many people have really good insurance. I do not. I am a student. I have crappy student insurance (although i am grateful to have my crappy insruance :) ) I called around and found another place that had a trained RT (respiratory therapist) that helped me get fitted etc. and on top of that they worked with my insurance so that I was out of pocket only 13 dollars at the end of the day. The difference in price between that place and MRC was 400 dollars less on the APAP unit and 100 dollars less on the mask. Thats right - it was 500 dollars less than MRC!!! I think some people don't realize you can shop around on things like medical supplies. I would recommend doing so even if you have good insurance because you might be able to pick up extras (like a heated hose.... extra parts for your mask etc.) with the extra money.... or maybe you might just want to help keep your premiums low. so bottom line: I like Benjaminj's service.... but I wish he didn't work at MRC because whoever owns this place is ripping people off.

Within a few days we were seeing dramatic improvements and our son was so much happier! Kim always made sure we were comfortable with the plan and genuinely cared about how our son was progressing. She was always available to trouble shoot problems and offer new techniques when our son was resisting change. Kim always explained the reasoning behind everything we encountered and kept us accountable so we stuck to the plan! Callie (office manager) is super friendly and was able to schedule me in asap when my appliance broke and was accomodating when I got to the office with 2 kids under 2 (she helped watch them for me when I saw Dr. Viviano). Dr. Viviano was originally my dentist, but he retired from that to focus on the sleep disorders. He was thorough in explaining what the new appliances are like, how to maintain it, etc. Since I've been wearing the oral appliance to treat my sleep apnea for the last 7 years, I knew exactly what to expect. When I had the moulds prepared, the technician had to do it over 5 times for my lower teeth as Dr. Viviano wanted nothing short of perfect (other doctors would probably send the first mould to the lab). The appliance came in within 2 weeks (Callie put in a rush order for me because she knew how important the sleep appliance is to me for getting a good night's sleep). There was a follow up appointment a few weeks later where I then took home a sleep monitor to track effective the new appliance is (and whether I was getting enough oxygen while I slept). A few nights later, I brought the sleep monitor back to the office, they downloaded the results and Dr. Viviano gave me the ok to continue using the appliance (no further adjustments were needed). If you're in need of a sleep apnea oral appliance, come here! Callie put together a thorough payment package for me (included doctor's notes and prescriptions, sleep test results, etc) and I had no issues with getting money back from my benefit insurance company.
