Resident run Council serves to keep residents informed of community goings on and facilitates communication between residents and staff. Communication is further supported by online daily updates through easily used software providing all information needed to contact both staff and residents. More supportive health care is available in a separate building for skilled nursing, assisted living and advanced assisted living for those with memory deficits. Contractual agreements promise lifetime care if unable to continue full financial payment. My husband and I have lived at Freedom Village since July 2019. The care we received during the covid epidemic could only be described as 10 stars on a 5 star scale. We lived together in our apartment until his health required full time care at which time he was moved to the advanced assisted living unit next door. It takes 2 minutes to walk there to visit where I ALWAYS find him clean, well shaven, well fed (by loving caregivers) and content. He has been there almost 4 years and I have not had one negative thing to say about his care. You may find a newer building, a more prestigious address, but you will not find another retirement community that affords the outstanding home that is Freedom Village.

We enrolled them (my best friend and his wife) at Sacred Heart and monitored them closely for the first few months and have never regretted the decision or disappointed in the facility or the staff. The facility itself is located in a pleasant residential neighborhood and has been totally remodeled - very bright znd cheerful atmosphere. The staff really cares. My friend and his wife often expressed their thanks and appreciation of the food and care they received there. We were kept up-to-date on their condition . The facility took responsibility for obtaining and adminstering meds and cooperated with their primary doctors, nurses and hospice workers who were not affiliated with the facility and who visited regularly. I cannot say enough about the caring and professionalism of the staff. The adminstrator, who also provides patient care herself, is wonderful to work with. They kept her safe, drove and waited in the long line to get her vaccinated when it became available, and were vigilant throughout that period. From her first day when she was very resistant to the idea of moving in to her last days in hospice care, Rita and the caregivers showered my mother with love, attention, companionship, and gentleness, even when she wasn't her best self. As she became frail mentally and physically, they continued to provide her with wonderful care. Rita kept me apprised of the changes in my mother's abilities and offered advice and wisdom on how to navigate the process. From the monthly photo newsletters to written communication to outdoor time to arranging for haircuts, manicures, exercise, and crafts - I was confident that my mother was getting the best care possible. They were attentive and knew when she needed extra medical care and explained what was happening and her options. Rita and her team have excellent relationships with medical professionals, so Lotus residents get timely responses when needed. The facility is beautifully maintained and landscaped, and the interior is clean and bright with charming decorations rotated monthly. Families and friends are welcome to visit in the cheerful sitting room or common room. The environment is warm and pleasant. Meals are healthy and attractive, and served communally in the dining room for most residents. With 5 rooms and 2 caregivers 24/7, care is individualized and everyone receives the attention they need.
