The cottages are clean, beautifully decorated and a lovely place for a day away or a week - long vacation as it's close to all the attractions but tucked away in a quiet area. The cottages are inviting and well kept, the surroundings are perfect for a relaxing evening outside. Highly recommended!

However, we have tons of retirees, one of which is me. Lots of folks come to visit us. I had some visitors that decided to stay in this unique place, and I decided to go with them when they checked in to check it out. It's less than a mile from my condo. Arriving- It's on the northbound side of US Route 27 with a large sign. Piece of cake to find. They are small cottages, yup I said cottages, and you get to park directly in front of yours which is incredibly convenient. Pro Tip- There is every kind of restaurant and/or bar, mostly within just a few minutes. Just check Yelp. Ambience- The cottages come in two flavors, Lakefront and Front. In addition to being on a private, very nice beach, the lakefront cottages have many more amenities. Check out their excellent website for details. Everything is up-to-date and spotless. There is a private beach and a nice doc with a gazebo at the end of it. Not a bad place to quaff a beverage and watch the sunset. The lakefront cottages have gas bbq grills ready for your use. Customer Service- My friends said it was spectacular! From check-in to daily housekeeping, everyone was friendly and efficient. Pricing- Like most lodgings the price varies by several factors. It's easy to play around on the website to figure it all out. As you might expect, the cottages on the lakefront cost the most. In general, expect to pay, often on the lower end of $1xx.00 per night which is a steal. Conclusion- If you need to stay in the area and looking for something other than the chains, this fine place will get the job done in style!

The rooms are old, outdated, and dirty. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The elevator can only be run by the hotel staff. The closet appeared to be shared by adjacent room. Arriving- The Jacaranda is on Main Street so finding it is a snap. There is street parking in the front and a large parking lot behind the hotel. Availability- The ACE lunch buffet is only weekdays and only when the snowbirds are here. The remainder of the year, lunch reverts to menu-based. Check the website for availability if you're worried. Ambience- Very, very, very nice. Some folks say elegant. Two large dining rooms. See my picture. It's so nice you might worry about the $$ but don't fret! More about that later. Adult Libations- Sorry, not here. If you are dying for an adult drink, there is a great bar seconds away. Have a great lunch here and then head over as many folks do. Just Yelp it. Customer Service- I've visited many times and never had a problem. They serve most drinks by the carafe here and leave it on the table which is much appreciated by many folks. You pay on your way out at a desk in the hotel lobby. Pricing- It's currently $17.50 for soup, salad, multiple hot entrees, dessert, and drinks. And of course it's ACE. Food- The food is stick to your ribs comfort food. There are basically five stations. 1. Pick up your warm rolls and butter here. 2. Today's homemade soup which varies, and I love most of them. 3. A fresh, beautifully maintained salad bar. See my picture. 4. Hot entrees and sides which are different every day. On my last visit I zeroed in on sliced pork tenderloin which was excellent. Note that they almost always have fried chicken as one of the entrees. 5. Dessert. There is a substantial display, but I never make it there as I'm already stuffed! So a four star, sit down, ACE lunch in a beautiful atmosphere for less than twenty bucks! Sound good? You bet!

I love the fresh flowers placed everywhere throughout makes the place feel very vibrant. My room was good, but the balcony views are beautiful. Views without a balcony can be very loud as it is near the major highway. Other than that, there is always someone at the service desk ready to help and they were very pleasant and professional. The fitness room was rather small it can be shared maybe with one or two other people, but the equipment was clean and everything worked. There is a small breakfast that is delivered to your door promptly at the time you check you want them to bring it to you. Overall, I had a nice trip very local to other chain restaurant and a grocery store nearby. Mini refrigerator and microwave inside the room as well. There is a restaurant downstairs, which is convenient if you don't want to go out.

Unfortunately, the coffee cups were a tad bit too small so the coffee pot kept malfunctioning without having to add more water then it would overflow and spill and no the staff didn't wipe under the pots when they checked cleaned. The room could use a cozy chair to sit in and better lighting. A hotel of this level should also invest in replenishing toiletries daily, a few times we had to ask for more. Also, they would leave one set up for coffee with dried out creamer. Maybe consider a liquid creamers and/or definitely more than one coffee set up. We recently stayed at Margaritaville and were spoiled with some of their features and were used to Hilton level experience at this level price of hotel despite whose footing the bill. We were traveling for business. It's a very nice hotel and the staff at the front desk are amazing but they need to fix a few things

They have a large breakfast buffet that's complementary in the mornings. I really enjoyed the yogurt station with all the toppings. They also have a really big coffee station. The only thing I didn't like was that because it is located right on the highway, there was a lot of highway noise that kept waking me up. Other than that, it was good stay and good value. Property was clean and well kept. It is also right on the lake.
