Old and outdated, but everything worked. The fact that my car was immediately swarmed by hundred of bugs at dusk was not welcomed. Not much parking to speak of and no RV/Trailers. Best thing about the stop is vending and I guess I can provide a weak 3. I would skip this stop as there are others before and after within 40 miles. It was a memorable experience however. A family of four yelling and swatting bugs inside the SUV in an attempt to shoe them out open windows. Classic Griswold Family vacation story.

Why would anyone review a... rest stop? Not sure, but here I am. This rest area was so impressive I had to look it up on Yelp. Located on the way to Florence, it was everything we were looking for. Plenty of (working!) vending machines made it easy to grab snacks and drinks. The bathrooms were spotless, and the whole rest area was just really clean. If you're traveling with dogs, like we were, you'll appreciate all of the grass/green spaces between the bathroom and the vending machines. They even had picnic tables outside. If every rest stop was like this one, I'd take a lot more road trips.

This lonely rest area is a welcome pit stop on the boring drive I take to Florence. It's a little outdated, but it has what is needed and is relatively clean. One side for cars, other side for the truckers. A vending machine area too if you so need. Several picnic tables and plenty of room to walk dogs. Don't drive too fast cause you will miss it.

As usual, the Carolinas have provided a well-stocked, well-lit, easily accessible rest stop! We love traveling into the Carolinas because it's like they have a competition between rest stops! Ha The bathroom stalls in the Women's were uncharacteristically outdated and a little dilapidated but the toilets worked great, the sinks had running water, and plenty of soap and working air dryers. The floors were kind of gross, but otherwise this is a great place to stop to relieve yourself, wash up, stretch legs, and have lunch at a picnic table!

You can walk inside and chat with an employee, grab coupons and tourist info, or learn more about the state. The indoor area is closed on holidays and in the evenings. The bathrooms were open, but they were not clean and are small. With only four stalls, this isn't a great place to stop for a bathroom break if you're traveling with a large party. The vending machines have a lackluster selection. If you're hungry, stop at a convenience store or fast food. South Carolina's rest areas aren't fancy, but it's easy to get on and off the highway for a quick bathroom break, which was all we needed.

Like most rest areas and welcome centers it is positioned conveniently just off the right side of the interstate. It offers a pleasant place with a clean look and good amenities. There's plenty of parking available for both cars and larger vehicles like RVs and trucks in separated lots. Car parking is close to the building. The welcome center has a nice look with its architecture and design. It was well marked, clean and well-maintained, with neatly landscaped grounds that provide a peaceful atmosphere. Inside, the restrooms are spacious and kept in good condition. The vending machines provide a variety of snacks and drinks, ensuring visitors can grab a quick refreshment before getting back on the road. One of the highlights is the welcome center.
