Second year my sweet heart is getting his 4th of July hot dog fix in this classical Quebec diner and we just love it. Hot dogs are good, but the poutine is to die for, one of the best in Montreal. Crispy fries, amazing thick gravy, cheese is not submerged in the gravy and still keeps its firmness. During our last visit we had the Grande poutine, which is huge. Our only challenge is we can't eat this kind of food every day and have healthy life style. Otherwise I will be at AA on a weekly basis. Must try! Note cash is the only method of payment available in this eatery.

Missed The Mark A St. Henri landmark but it just didn't do it for me. I had the poutne but the gravy had enough corn starch in it to kill a small horse. I followed that up with there massive burger but it was literally falling apart at the seems. I just went on a bad day??? Either that or they are a front. Go to Dillalo Waka waka

A.A. is for Original Gangsters only. Ok, maybe not, but I know you smell what I'm cookin. I walked into the mostly empty shop on a cold late afternoon while the owner / cook / triple O.G. was choppin' it up (conversing) with his triple O.G. coterie. Time definitely stops when you walk in, as the decor - or anything really, for that matter - hasn't changed in over 50 years, per the owner. My quest to find Montreal's most satisfying hot dog led me here. I got one 'all dressed' as they say up North, and I think it just consists of mustard, relish and cabbage. I'm not sure how the cabbage is prepped, but it was like a pseudo cole slaw topping. The dog itself was average, the cabbage didn't do anything for me, but at the very least they toasted my buns. If you're into nostalgic restaurants and older men droppin' knowledge on us youngins' on how to truly conduct ourselves, A.A. is the place for you. -Beantowns Finest

One of the best greasy spoons out there, I'll be honest this is not the kind of place I've ever been without having had a bit to drink. That being said , it doesn't take away their amazing submarines and other typical dinner food. The owner and hardest working employee out there is Andre , an old man with white hair that barely speaks and is always there. He makes this place special and the food is always consistent since it's always him , whether you're there at 2 am or at 5 pm , it's him , the man never sleeps ! Overall great food and worth going for late night munchies !

Ok, I've totally changed my mind about this place. The truth is, it's pretty hit or miss. Depends on who's working, what time of day, etc. I've had some of the best cheeseburgers ever here, and I've grown to like the gravy on the poutine. It's pretty much the only thing open late in st-henri so you have to deal with it.

3.5 Stars! We got the regular poutine & the bacon poutine. The poutine was good, not great. Thick gravy, flavorful, but not enough cheese curds. The bacon poutine has very little bacon. We don't think the bacon poutine worth ordering. The place looks old, not that clean. Service wasn't that good. When we were there, there was only one guy works there. He does the cooking, cleaning, & everything else. We had to ask more than once just for a glass of water. We spent all total about $17. If you happen to be in the area, this place is worth stopping but we don't think it's worth going out of your way just to visit this place.

We went out to eat something and finally we ended up here. We were eating cheese burger and jumbo burger with poutine. The burger meet was awesome!!! We loved a lot both burger. The poutine we ordered with the brown sauce. For me it was ok, but my husband loved it. The service was fast and kind. Just cash only.

Very nice staff and fast wifi connection (password is the restaurant phone number). Small poutine is actually quite large, I couldn't finish it. It's one of those opaque kinda cheap gravy style poutine but I find the amount of cheese quite appropriate. Service is fast. Would definitely come back

My sister was trying the ramen dog and mozzarella/hot dog. I didn't enjoy the line up in the cold, my toes were super frozen. The service is average; they rush you to make your choice. After receiving the corn dogs; you hope to find a warm place to try them. We went inside the metro to eat them. They are delicious, but since it's deep fried, you feel the heaviness of it in your belly. I was happy to try them but the experience to get them and eating them somewhere warm was horrendous.

I went on their second day of being open and for the ramen hot dog and the Gamsung hotdog (mozzarella cheese deep fried with pieces of French fried potatoes on top). Both were delicious but my favourite was definitely the ramen, it was so crunchy. You order on the right hand side of the restaurant and then wait in the line on the left hand side to receive your food (pay attention to your number as they will call it out to let you in the restaurant to pick up). Once you pick up your order you have a choice of 8 sauces. My server put a bit too much so I say less is more when it comes to sauces. They have a menu on the side with their recommendations of sauce to put on which Kogo. You also don't want to overwhelm the Kogo with too much sauce because there's so much to taste already. I put spicy mayo, mayo, and honey mustard on both of my Kogos and it was too much. The sauces were good but it just got too much. If you want to put more than one sauce, ask the server to only put a little. My friend got the volcano with chill sauce and recommends that one. He also got the ramen hot dog with spicy mayo and he said it was a bad pairing, he thought the spicy mayo would've been good on another hot dog. I also got the pineapple juice and it was pretty good! A bit ordinary but good to pair with your meal. Prices are around 4.99-6.99 per Kogo so not cheap but they are loaded so it's worth it. Lines seem long but it goes by quickly.

It's been around since 1932 and looks like to be a popular destination for locals and tourists. Our group just wanted something quick to eat since we spent the day in Old Montréal and was heading back to the hotel. The parking is a circle surrounding the structure. The speed of the line went pretty quick from ordering to getting the meal considering they had a steady line while we were there. There is option to dine there with some bench and table seating to the left of the ordering station. We just grab and took our stuff back to the hotel since it was late and a little windy the day we went there. We shared a poutine and got small orange julep drinks to share. The poutine was good, but not my favorite in this city. What I liked about it was the gravy. Rich and a generous amount on the fries. I didn't wish that the fries could have been more crisp. I think they got soggier by the gravy. The cheese curds were a bit melty- also there was no squeak when I took a bite. True cheese curds make a squeak when you chew them. Just not sure we didn't get a squeaking batch. The orange julep I would definitely come back for again. It was super refreshing and a little frothy on the finish. So good I wished I got a bigger size. It was a big hit with my daughter too. They sell them in different sizes and even sell a big sharing jug. We didn't try other offerings of food they had (hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, spaghetti, wings, nuggets, desserts and breakfast), but may be on the next visit. It's worth checking out. Maybe next time we will try to dine in.
