There are tables and other places to sit too, but this is clearly the place to be in Copenhagen! And did I say the food was delicious? FOOD: It was so much fun walking around to all the different stalls. You can get virtually any kind of food you want and all of it is good. Some better than others, but that's what is so great. You will have different tastes than me and everyone will find something they want. Indian, Chinese, Pizza, Greek, Danish...just so many different types of food. We had the Nordic Hot Dog (so good and the fries were awesome, too), the raclette over waffle fries (love that cheese), Asian pork on a stick with rice (also delicious), and pizza. Oh and yummy ice cream afterward. SERVICE: Variety was great and service was quicker than a normal food truck. Portions were nice for the money and you can't beat the amount and types of food. The ambiance is amazing and the vibe is so cool. COST: Not bad, especially for being a hit and hip place. But for the experience it was a bargain. Again, just so much fun.

We asked for their wine varietals and they essentially were re-filling most wines so we were told they had 1 white and 1 red-we ordered one of each. The wines themselves were very fine. However, once you leave the ordering area you realize how cool the area is. The bar overlooks a dock that people have surrounded around in various swim gear. If you plan ahead well enough you can easily go swimming and have a lovely glass of wine. If not, like us, then sit by the dock and enjoy the weather while drinking your glass of wine. We didn't venture into any of the food but really cannot emphasize how much we wished we could lounge further from a swimming standpoint! A lovely stopping point especially if you're on the way to Copenhill.

Being a foodie, I indulged on my week-long Copenhagen trip in October 2021. One restaurant that I…read moredidn't plan on eating at is La Banchina. While exploring the industrial part of the city, I stumbled upon this tiny cafe along the water with a sauna attached to it. Wow, I'm glad I did! The cafe is no-frills, but leads down to a dock where you can enjoy your food, making for lunch with a view. Inside the cafe, you can order cocktails in a can, pastries and lunch from a small menu. For around $15, I ordered a cocktail in a can, pumpkin soup and a bowl of bread with olive oil. The bread was the best I has all trip and the soup was the best I've had ever! Service was fast, efficient and the price was much more affordable compared to many restaurants in Copenhagen. Although there's no wifi, this is still a must-experience.

I was seated by another member of the waitstaff as I was waiting in the breezeway. My waiter took my order which was the scallop appetizer and the poached white fish. I left the restaurant still hungry. I would not return nor would I recommend.

I only took off one star because the time it took us to get our first course was about 40-45 minutes after being seated since they got the order wrong and the ravioli in the main course was lacking in flavor. Everything else about the meal was SO good- the cheeses in our charcuterie course was AMAZING (I'm not even someone who likes cheese). And I cleaned my plate for the creme brulee dessert! The portion sizes were also very generous - we all wished we came with an emptier stomach! Just make sure you come with a lot of time to spare because we didn't leave until 11pm.

This meal-meets-performance-art is like nothing you've ever experienced or will experience again. It's like being inside a David Lynch movie and tasting every scene. Every impression also has a statement to make - sometimes uncomfortable, sometimes delightful, sometimes totally weird. ALWAYS entertaining AF. You eat most of the meal under a multimedia dome that pulsates with images as you eat, and the timing is incredible. When else can you eat an eyeball under a dome of eyeballs? (It's not a real eyeball, don't worry. However, the brain is real brains.) I just don't have the words to articulate this amazing experience fully. I can see why some people have been here twenty times, and I've included some photos and video, but my advice if you're planning to go is to go in blind. Nothing beats the surprises.

We're from the US and booked this trip just to go to alchemist and it's a trip we won't ever forget and hope to recreate again for years to come. Easy Metro ride with one change. It was a Saturday and the restaurant hadca lot of lunch reservations. We were able to snag a table. Danish open-faced sandwich (Smørrebrød) was a novelty for us. There was a vegetarian option with Hummus. I loved the Ruth's Herring open sandwich which was very tasty. Other dishes we ordered were Half n half which is smoked salmon and smoked halibut. Tradition is to eat the open sandwich using a fork and knife if you want to eat like a local. Service was excellent. Nice draft beer pilsner. The name of the restaurant comes from the year the building was rebuilt after a fire. Since it's a old building and it's been maintained in the same way including the cute way the floor slopes. Lunch time got very crowded. Of course if you step out of this side street you will find other restaurants a long the canal and Nyhaven. I'll look forward to being back on a future trip to Copenhagen.

It's located near canals, a museum, and several bustling restaurants. It's in the original Noma space, so most customers have high expectations. Atmosphere: The interior is Nordic chic, rustic and elegant. Even though we had a reservation, we were seated at a long table with other guests. At the time we were there, the angle of the sun hit me right in the eyes and I had trouble reading the menu and seeing for a few minutes. Their curtains are sheer, so they didn't help. The captain apologized, and said there was nothing he could do. Service: we were seated and given drinks menus. Everyone around us was served water, given menus and a description of what was available. Finally, a server came by to take our order, apologized for us not having menus nor water. I requested tap water, so I was surprised to be charged 30krone per carafe. Food: Every item shows technical proficiency and attention to detail. We ordered the schnitzel. It came with a small serving of fresh peas, cream, horseradish and a brown butter sauce. It was delicious. I would have liked more horseradish and peas. The sautéed leeks were served with salad greens and hard to cut. They tasted fine, but a sharper knife would have been appreciated; through our meal, no one came by. We also tried the hake. It looked small, but was very filling.
