Had brunch here this morning. Food, drinks, and service was above average. Chicken and waffles were amazing.

We rented a room at this B&B and decided to have drinks and an appetizer at the bar. The bartender, Demetrius, was very friendly and entertaining!! We enjoyed chatting with him while we drank our evening drinks, before heading to our room. We also had the venison appetizer. Soooo good!! Stop by here if you're in the area! Great brunch. 3 in party and all had something different. Salmon frittata was scrumptious. Biscuits and gravy were ample and also very tasty and the chicken and waffles were an absolute delight. Bloody Mary wasn't my cup of tea, and mimosas were inconsistent and a bit weak on flavor. Service was impeccable. read more

This place was amazing, my husband and I went there for Christmas dinner and we truly loved it! Food was exquisite and service was awesome. The ambiance was very quaint. The house is very cute. The parking is limited next to the establishment, but additional parking is available across the street. The drinks were good and the food was pretty decent. Not bad, but my dish didn't wow me. The rolls we were given were delicious and definitely a highlight. I had the spinach and bacon frittata which I thought was decent. My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles which he enjoyed and my daughter had the peaches and cream French toast which she loved. This is a lovely place for brunch. The wait staff is extraordinary. Very attentive and personable. Our waiter,James, was knowledgeable, friendly, outgoing, but yet very professional. He made excellent suggestions and facilitated an exceptional meal. Make sure to try the bacon maple syrup and braised pork Benedict. I will be dreaming of both for a while. Visited 506 impromptu tonight intending to sit in the bar and wound up getting the coveted window seat because the bar was almost fully reserved! So happy to see it so busy because the drinks, food and service are fantastic! I had the salmon my husband had the filet. Demetrius was our our server at the table. He made sure we had exactly what we wanted. All perfectly prepared. The sides really complement the entrees and the presentation is impressive. I can't believe that I had never stopped here to eat before today. We came here for brunch before the Dallas-green Bay game. We had crab cakes Benedict and the steak sunny up. Everything from the atmosphere to the service to the food was absolute perfection. The Benedict and steak were incredible. Husband and I stop here after biking for a couple of hours Saturday morning. We eat breakfast out often and life to try new places. The woman at the desk looked at us like we had grown another head when we walked in - it looked a little "uppity" but we decided to give it a go, yelp reviews were not bad - and set About looking in her computer for a possible spot for us...really??? no thank you. Would never be back nor would we ever recommend this place: if you want your customers to be dressed for church and Guests of the spa, don't advertise that you are a restaurant open to the public! read more

Nope. I don't know why the restaurant has such good reviews. I really wanted to like the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was a let down. The taste is cheap and I can tell the ingredients are too. I love restaurant hopping, I do not recommend the restaurant. Please... let's not get started on the prices. I guarentee you can find better food for cheaper prices in Dallas. read more

Wanted to love it but simply could not. Have dined here previously and never much cared for it, but wanted to treat a friend for the holidays and chose it again recently. One is truly paying for the ambiance, lovely decor and great service, yes. NOT the food however. This was lunch, and she ordered the "special" which was a pastrami and cheese sandwich. It truly did not look appetizing to me, and she said it was awful. The pastrami was grilled, and so thick that she could not bite into it nor chew it, and there was far too much cheese and bread. She wanted a nice experience and chose not to mention it to the server. However, for $16 for a sandwich one could not eat, plus home-made potato chips that were extremely salty, I would definitely have spoken out if it were my order. Obviously the kitchen staff has never been to a NYC deli where those sandwiches are served night and day and are fabulously edible! My order was not that great either, but it was on the menu, so the price was a tad lower. Again, salty homemade chips accompanied a turkey on ciabiatta sandwich. Too dry, not easy to eat and just not that appealing overall. Only ate half of mine and she ate less than half of hers. She ordered cheesecake for dessert, which I tasted, and it was just OK. Have had much better at other local restaurants. With two poinsettias to drink, and two inedible sandwiches plus one dessert and a coffee, $72 was just too much. Really. It was busy that day for the holidays, but still, given my previous experiences dining here, there has been no improvement in the food. If you want a lovely holiday experience, and you don't care about the food, this would be a good choice. Otherwise, just take a look and maybe order a drink instead. read more

We made reservations for 6pm for a dinner. We were treating my stepdaughter and her fiancé. This was our first visit. The service was warm, friendly and excellent. We had 2 bottles of wine for 4 people (white for the appetizer course, and red with our entrees.) My husband picked out the red wine and I mentioned the server it might need to breathe, so after the appetizer, but while we were finishing the first bottle of wine, our server opened it for my husband to sample and approve, before taking it back to the bar to wait until the entrees were ready. We had a leisurely meal, and did not feel pressured to hurry, so they could "turn" the table. I did see a party of 4 that came in after we did, and appeared to have an entertainment plans for after the meal, and they were in and out more quickly, so the servers are more than willing to go at the diners' pace. There was also a free amuse bouche before the appetizer, and a tiny scoop of sorbet as a palate cleanser afterward (also free.) The menu is not huge, but the variety is good (sufficient enough that I have already extracted a promise from my hubby to get us back there at least 3 to 4 more times so that I can try everything that sounds interesting), although this probably not the place to bring your strict vegan/vegetarian friends, or to try maintain a really strict low calorie diet. I would also say (to my relief) that is does not appear to be a great place for small children, as there are no "kid friendly" dishes on the menu. We all had dessert and coffee (not a huge variety of desserts, but the two we tried, crème brulee and "chocolate destruction", were perfect) and coffee and the meal took over 2 hours.
