Nothing too special about the place nor would it be a restaurant I'd come on my own, but this is a good spot for anyone that enjoys big portions and a clean diner with friendly staff. Overall, average but pleasant experience. I came here first on my own; ordered an omelette and couldn't finish it since the portion is huge. Can't say the taste was up to par compared to other omelettes I had so I won't be ordering it again. The second time I came with a family member. He ordered a breakfast meal and really enjoyed the portions (he eats a lot haha) but still needed to take some home since there was a LOT of meat. Breakfast for lunch, always a good idea. Menu has traditional & some not traditional items, great choices for anyone. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately & was seated, the hostess kindly took my drink order & asked if I needed a anything while waiting for my friend. The waitress was checked up on my twice as my friend was running late. All the coffee & jam offerings were readily available at the table. I had the chorizo skillet, it was good but a bit greasier than I expected. I know that chorizo is greasy but it seems like a bit much, the cheese could have also played a role in that. The chorizo was also pretty salty, I'll be back but probably wouldn't order it but time. The eggs were delicious! My friend had the peanut butter chip waffles with a side of sausage, it was good but not a huge wow factor. I noticed that staff was so attentive, friendly, & quick. Latrice was our waitress, I just about died with laughter because when I asked her what her favorite was meal was she answered in half a second with such excitement in her eyes! From the hostess, to the waitress, to the busboy the service was extremely wonderful & they are so warm towards everyone. So I've been to this location before and had a wonderful Reuben sandwich along with excellent service. Today was not the same experience at all. I ordered the same exact sandwich and for whatever reason there was a massive amount of cheese on it. I love cheese btw but this was TOO much. It was over powering & making both sides of the bread soggy. When my waiter Bryan A came after like 15 minutes of already receiving the food, he asked how was the food. I let him know my dissatisfaction with the sandwich and he said absolutely nothing. He didn't offer to have the sandwich remade or if I would even like another item. He just walked away and presented us with the bill. He even had the nerve to ask if I wanted a to-go box as if I didn't just tell him how disgusting my food turned out. Terrible experience. I was CRAVING french toast and was on the hunt to satisfy my craving. I was greeted immediately upon entry and seated in a booth. The waitstaff was lovely. I ordered blueberry french toast, western omelette, and a biscuit. The omelette was good, not great. Same with the biscuit. The french toast was gross. It annoyed me they would call it french toast. It tasted of syrup and bread ONLY. It turned me off the meal and I decided not to eat anymore. I also got hash browns that were extra hard. The entire meal was less than meh. Small local spot. It was fairly clean inside. Their menu is pretty big with something for everyone. They have waffles, pancakes, and crepes. A lot of places offer either or, not all! I got the banana Nutella pancake stack. I have a bad sweet tooth. They were big and fluffy and way sweet. Im a huge fan of Nutella, but there was way too much on mine! I scraped most off. Better to have too much than not enough! My husband got the 5 star skillet with biscuit. It was super good. I want to come back and try a biscuit dish. First off our staff, our waitress Mari was amazing. She was so polite and on the ball and made sure everything was taken care of. Very impressed. The food was also amazing. I had their Monte Cristo, which is actually two pieces of French toast with ham and cheese in between and egg. The scrambled egg was perfection, the fact that it wasn't totally deep-fried, but still had the powered sugar and eggy Goodness of the French toast was perfect. The ham had been cooked on the grill and it was just delicious. I also got a stack of pancakes to go with it, which is just their typical buttermilk, with butter and maple syrup. They were really delicious. And then iced tea. Which if done right is awesome. And they do it very well. Clean diner, extremely friendly server. Good coffee regularly filled. The Jalapeño Burger was a 5/5 in my opinion. Jalapeños were perfectly tart and melted in a generous amount of cheese, with the perfect slightly crisp bun. The pancakes were great. Taste as they look. The omelette was raw on the inside with super watery eggs and the hash browns on that plate were literally cold. Soooo, were they on someone else's plate? Or still frozen? Not sure what was going on there, especially since it didn't come out quickly or anything. We asked to sit at a larger table because although only 3 of us, the guys order two full meals each and we are all "larger". The server said he wasn't allowed to seat us at any of the larger unoccupied tables because they had people coming in. No peoples came in to over half of all tables the entire time. Not to mention the dozen or so square tables they could easily moved, which also remained largely unoccupied the entire time. Got the sense that these were house rules, not his. The server was very eager to please and I could tell it made him uncomfortable to say no. Being close to theme parks and so many attractions I can see why on busier days or weekends they might have rules, but let people have some autonomy especially in slower times. Would we come back? No. Runny eggs at a breakfast spot - and the inability or choice not to accommodate a very simple & reasonable request after explaining the reasoning (we order lots of food - should be a good problem ) is not a place we will come back to with all of the options and great service everywhere these days. I always say- if you can do something a guest/client is asking, always try to do it. It's important to have a solutions oriented culture, give all staff a little autonomy where it makes sense, and always focus on the client experience over business perceived needs. Found hair in my food! The older Maria is extremely rude. I used to love this place and we've ordered a lot of food here but will no longer be coming to this location. Further explained below: I've been here numerous times. I usually get the egg white veggie omelette. It comes with toast and has browns. Their toast has always been stale and the hash browns are always extremely crisp. I finally told them after going about 3 times thinking it would change on its on. They corrected it for me but I had to ask them each time to correct it. Today I decide to get something different. Their customer service on the phone is usually ok but the older Maria had an attitude from start to finish especially with me asking about my toast and hash browns. She kept cutting me off and hung up before I could even say Thank you. I get there and was greeted by the younger Maria (their in person customer service is always pleasant). I got my food and went back to my office. There was hair in my food and the toast was stiff. I called the place 8 times until someone finally answered (it never took that many times to answer). The older Maria answered. I let her know and she huffed like it was my fault and rudely told me to come get the new order. I go get it and apologize (even though it was not my fault). They made my toast over and gave me white bread. Not toast but white bread. I showed the younger Maria what I meant by stale toast and she said she can add butter to my new toast. I told them thank you and left. Me nor my office staff will be eating here anymore. The place has gone down hill. The service is horrible. When I came to get my food the 2nd time Maria went to the cooks and they both were looking at me with irritated looks. I threw my food away. The younger Maria would be the only reason they get a star as she was extremely kind and helpful. read more

This is one busy place but a really good breakfast joint. We had a party of 3 and was waiting for the 3rd person but no problem sitting us at a table. Coffee and tea were brought right away. The service is wonderful. Very cheerful and accommodating. They have an extensive breakfast menu. We tried a scrabbler of eggs, hash browns, sausage and gravy for my husband, my son ordered a Denver omelette and I got the good old standby eggs, bacon, grits and biscuit. The scrabbler must have been really good. Made without onions per request no problem eating it all. Omelette was full of peppers and ham. Coffee cups and tea were filled and as I said the service is great. The place is big and lots of people but they handle the orders really well. Bathroom is clean and the restaurant just has a coziness to it. I'd definitely return. read more

My little family of 3 went in this morning, a Saturday, at approximately 9:30, and were sat promptly. Our drink orders were taken quickly, which included a very impressive hot chocolate, for my 8 year old, which was topped off with a huge dollop of fresh whipped cream. The coffee was good and my cup was never empty due to prompt, attentive service. Our waitress was the younger Mary of the two Mary servers. She was courteous, polite, and prompt. She made us feel very welcome. My daughter had the Mickey Mouse pancakes with 2 bacon strips. She devoured the bacon and ate about half her pancakes. (Her hot chocolate was filling.) My husband had the chorizo skillet, which I sampled. It was really tasty. I appreciated that the chorizo had been well drained of fat. I had the Cali omelette and added spinach with a small bowl of fruit. It came with a choice of toast or biscuit. I chose wheat toast which I didn't eat because I had so much other great food. The omelette was delicious, packed with bacon, tomatoes, and spinach. The fruit was fresh and a nice bite to cut up all the savory of my omelette. My daughter and I also shared a side of hash browns that we both thoroughly enjoyed. I wish I had taken a picture of my omelette, but I did manage to get a shot of my sweet girl taking on her giant hot chocolate. We had such a nice breakfast! We will be returning! Situated in an unassuming shopping center and newly "renovated" Lone Star Cafe doesn't really look like much. However, their food and service are definitely worth coming back for! We went here because I was absolutely craving a good waffle, and boy did they deliver. They slathered my crispy waffle in nutella and bananas, and you better believe I ate every. single. bite. I honestly don't remember what my husband got because I was so focused on my waffle heaven, lol. Definitely on my short list of places I need to revisit, and hopefully they will be making enough money to do a little more renovation to the interior, which still needs some work from what was leftover from the previous restaurant that was there. read more
