Since we are not familiar with the area we took a chance with Pioneer and were extremely glad with our experience! Yvonne, our waitress, was super attentive and friendly; food was freshly made and tasty. Highly recommend to support this small business!

Don't let the outside fool ya, as this is a diamond in the rough! The sign outside has damage and the surrounding buildings are rundown. However, once you step inside, you step inside a busy, hustling thing of beauty!! We went on a Saturday morning around 9:30/10am and it was busy, but we only had to wait 10-15 mins for a table of 7. One thing to mention is that this is pure original breakfast. There are no blueberries or chocolate chips for example to add to your waffles/pancakes. However, the pancakes were VERY good without the extras. Plus, the pricing is no frills as well. My pancakes/2eggs/sausage plate was like 10.50. The food was all REALLY good. Our waitress was super sweet and took really good care of us as well. The place is clean and plenty of seating inside so this is a great choice for a down home breakfast spot!!

Good breakfast spot. Warm and welcoming staff. Humble ambiance. Food was good, straight forward fare. I can't recall what they called my breakfast special, but it included everything I wanted. Reasonably priced.

This was a great experience that environment and food reminded me of a cafe/diner from when I was young. The food is high quality and large portions. The prices are very reasonable. Our server today was Lorena P and she was excellent.

Wife and I stopped here for brunch and it was very busy inside, but we were seated right away. Our waitress came right over to offer assistance and to take our drink orders. Of brunch I ordered the French toast with eggs and bacon and it was a really reasonable price. The meal arrived less then five minutes later. The French toasted tasted really good and the baked on was very crispy, but the eggs were very runny so I didn't eat them. It was definitely worth the visit.

While visiting Six Flags, we found this old school restaurant nearby. It's the kind of place where you see pies in the display case as you walk in and you can buy a box of Junior Mints when you pay your check. We had omelettes and eggs with biscuits and gravy on the side. The omelettes were three eggs and loaded with ingredients. They were slightly overdone but the flavor was great. Biscuits were scratch-made and dense with a mild sausage gravy. If you want a stick-to-your-ribs type of meal, this is the place to go. Friendly service as well. Recommended.

One of the best local diners, in the Arlington area. Me and my folks started going 2 or 3 times a month, and we've always enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. The employees are always friendly and provide excellent service. Highly recommend going there on weekends, for breakfast!

So. We decided to visit again just based off all of the other options around. Creatures of habit. The service was great. She was very attentive 100% of the time. The food was not as fresh this go round. My husbands chicken sandwich was dry. Asked for mushrooms and got maybe 4 slices. The feeling of the restaurant was HOT. The AC was not working. I saw a new fee added to our check for those who don't use cash. Bummer. If you are going to charge a fee to use a debit card, bring free fee ATM inside for your patrons to use. Here's what we had today in the pics below. We will be back. They were getting ready to close in a few hours. The service was worth the hiccups. I will bring cash.

We came here for a late lunch around 1:30... was surprised this place is only open until 2:30pm. We were seated right away but menus took awhile to arrive... Our waitress came over asking for our drink order before we even got our menu. Our 3 kiddos each ordered a soft drink (which we assumed would be included with their kids meal... we were wrong). My husband and I each got a club sandwich with fries ($9.25) and our kids got pancakes and bacon ($5.25) and chicken tenders and fries ($5.25). The shocking part is that the 4 sodas ordered came to a whopping $10 ($2.50 EACH!) In addition, if you're paying with a card, you will be paying the $1.67 transaction fee as well. Our server was friendly as well as the cashier. All in all, we all cleared our plates.

Great, old school diner. Great breakfast and strong coffee. If I was closer I'd stop in weekly.

The restaurant is in an old, lovely Victorian house that includes a boutique hotel and spa. Small dining rooms and a large outdoor patio for dining. Started with two specialty cocktail, both large but not overly strong. Began with salads. Both the beet salad and the burrata salads were tasty and large. Salmon Benedict was two pieces of filet on oversized English muffin, well prepared with side of potatoes. Crabcake Benedict was served sans muffin. Same side of potatoes. Dessert was a slice of lemoncello cake and coffee. Cake was terrific, very subtle flavors. Great place for celebratory meal.

The menu had brunch and lunch options and everything sounded so good it was hard to choose. We ended up sharing the burrata salad with grilled peaches and they split it onto two plates for us. It was SO good! We both got the salmon Benedict and I loved mine. The salmon was cooked perfectly as was the egg and the hollandaise was delish. The potatoes were typical breakfast potatoes but they were good. For my birthday they let me choose any dessert and the limoncello cake was absolutely perfect. Lemony and tart with creamy frosting, I would go back just for that!! I definitely recommend this place for brunch!
