I CAN' T RECOMMEND! The valet service was excellent, the attendants were friendly, professional, and welcoming. The view is also beautiful and is probably the restaurant's biggest selling point. incredible! we stayed here and ate dinner here each night. both nights i had the seafood soup and it was soo good. the homemade tortillas were offered too so i used them for the beans and guac. we had the same server for the dinners and wine tasting and he was so friendly and attentive. we also had a buffet our last night and the meats were sooo goood. attractive decor as well. will be back. read more

It was late and the kids (and adults) were all exhausted. no desire to go into town at this point...just eat and sleep. When we usually eat on site...we go to the marina bar....but i felt like sitting indoors... The Restaurante Coral & Marina is a very beautiful place to eat. The hotel is gorgeous and the dining area overlooks the water and marina. They have a large selection of seafood and Mexican meals. The menu comes with a wood cover and many pages to peruse. They have many appetizers but the seafood carpaccio is one of the best I've had anywhere. The tuna and scallops are super fresh marinated just enough so are flavorful and tender! We have this each time now! Perfect with a margarita-a bit strong but very good! 5 stars They bake bread daily and it is good. The kitchen also makes soups-a cream based soups with asparagus, corn or pea that come with meals (usually same kinds and no changes). Tortilla soup is also good. 4stars The entrees can be hit or miss. Ceviche and pastas are great. The Sea Bass was fishy and fajitas just so so-not enough to want the ample leftovers. Such a shame but 3 stars. Saturday and brunch during the week is just ok. 3.5 stars. Sunday brunch is excellent! The selection of foods are diverse, wonderful and so much fun to try new things! It is something to look forward to that makes you feel very special! 5 stars There should be a whole page for the staff. Almost everyone (only 1 person that is more difficult) is so polite, friendly and professional in every section of the hotel, restaurants and marina from the managers to the servers to the workers on the dock. I booked this hotel on tripadvisor and we checked very smoothly yesterday. The hotel room itself was nice and the room was pretty clean. After my family got back from the outing, we got ready in bed and went right asleep around 930 pm. After sleeping for about an hour and half, we got a call from the front desk at 11PM. They asked who I was and I was so confused because why would they ask me if they can clearly see on the reservation who I was. Then they told me that our reservation for this room was a fraud! How can that be when we booked it through tripadvisor? Then they had the audacity to demand I go down to the lobby immediately. I called the agency to see what happened because this is ridiculous. They talked to the first desk and the front desk told them they couldn't see the reservation and weren't able to really help. I talked to Juan who worked the front desk myself and he told me the hotel couldn't find my reservation that I booked on tripadvisor. So they wanted me to pay the rack rate at that moment. I obviously had to if I wanted to stay there and plus it was in the middle of the night with my family sleeping. The next morning I got a voice mail from the agent saying everything was fixed with the hotel. I went to the front desk and got what I paid refunded. I told them I was very annoyed they called me at 11pm and demanded I come down. The front desk last just said yes and smiled. The hotel is nice and the facilities are nice. If you don't want your VALID reservation to be considered a fraud, and get woken up in the middle of the night and ordered down to the front desk to immediately pay the hotel, you should stay elsewhere. read more

We come down to Ensenada a few times a year and this place is always top of our list for places to stay. I recommend calling in for reservations as I find I sometimes get better rates as the dates get closer and they have some rooms that open up. The rooms are newly renovated... seriously there was nothing wrong last time we stayed here and the rooms got even better! When I made the reservation I asked if they did anything to celebrate my husbands bday and they set up some balloons and a cake when we got to the room! Such a nice gesture! I love this place even more. Try the Sunday buffet brunch it's delicious. They have two pools an outside and inside, gym, marina. So many amenities. It's super safe in here and the security is always on. The people that work here are all very happy and make you feel at home. If you are driving back into the states don't forget to get a fast pass to cross the border from concierge.. it can save you2+ hours! read more

We have been here now 2 times in the past couple months. We do the all INCLUSIVE Package and get treated like royalty every visit. It's a real hidden gem in Ensenada! My family is all from Baja and I have never been to such a nice place around here. Karla is one one of sales reps and she is so accommodating and professional . I have booked every time through her and always a pleasure. She went out of her way to order a cake and balloons for my bf bday celebration and had everything delivered for to our room!. Went here for lunch and we didn't have high expectations, and good thing. Husband had the hamburger and it wasn't anything special. They didn't put any condiments on the burger. There was lettuce, tomato, onion & cheese (added request), but no ketchup, mayo, or mustard. Very lackluster. I had the pizza that had steak, chorizo, green pepper, & jalapeno on it. Can't remember the name of it. The crust was too thick for my liking and kind of tasted like it was made from bisquick. The flavor of the pizza toppings were spot on. The margaritas that we had were too sweet for our liking but did the job. The pricing was more like being in the US than in Mexico. Family had a great stay! We paid for 2 rooms, both were cozy & clean..awesome views! We had rooms on the 6th floor. The gym was clean & state of the art..and staffed. The concierge was very helpful with restaurant & planning activities. Sad that we don't speak Spanish, but the staff spoke English very well. Had the buffet & it was yummy! On Sunday the restaurant was crowded with locals..I'm assuming the restaurant is a nice place for locals to eat Sunday brunch. Junior suite is a very specious room with a living room and if you get the 6th floor not only does it have a great view but that floor is newly remodeled/never been used. Upon leaving his desk, I glanced over and noticed pretty picture of an inviting cocktail being served at the restaurant. It was orange with red at the top (turned out to be red wine). My hubby ordered the jalapeño margarita and that was very good! Although we had delicious taco downtown, we decided to order shrimp ceviche and so glad we did- it was very fresh. We docked at the marina after the San Diego to Ensenada sailing race and stayed three nights. It's a pretty large marina, though the fairways are a bit narrow and the marina entrance is also narrow. Showers were a very long walk from F dock, and Sunday morning when we tried to use them they were closed for cleaning. (Apparently this isn't standard; a party the night before left them in a sorry state.) BUT the spa at the hotel has very nice showers, and marina guests are welcome to use those, too. Marina office staff were very nice, fuel was inexpensive, and the hotel restaurant was quite good. Don't count on finding a cab out front; call the desk to ask them to order one for you. Overall it was a good experience though I do have to mention that there was a problem with the power coming from the dock, probably a ground loop fault--it completely fried our starter battery and could easily have started a fire. We told the marina about it so they should have it fixed soon. read more
