After zipping through the forest of La Marquesa, we wanted to find a hidden gem of local food on our way back to the city. Many twists and turns later, we found ourselves at the ever-so-tiny Green Ville Restaurant.
Green Ville freshly prepares a variety of dishes in the morning, in preparation for lunch. Therefore, the menu changes daily, all displayed on a chalkboard near the cash register. Once they run out of a dish, it's erased from the board, and that's it for the day!
I opted for the pastelón de papas (beef casserole with potatoes), and it was AH-MAZ-ING. But then...then the plátanos. OH. MY.
Ultimately, there are simply not words to describe how amazing this lunch truly was, so I highly recommend checking this place out if you so happen to be in the area. (:-!) However, don't let the English signage fool you, all the staff only speak Spanish! read more
