    Tenderloin with St George cheese

Visiting from NYC, decided to give it a try. Place looks amazing, and we were told to make a reservation in advance, so be aware! Atmosphere: great, love the signature tables and chairs Waiter: not sure but our waiter was a bit sweaty, which brings a little bit of not appealing odor, good English and very polite Ordered: Cheese plate: A Tuna balls: A Calamari: A Limpet: B (we were not fun of fresh garlic placed on top of cooked mussels, killed all the taste) Main course: Octopus: A (little bit too oily) Tenderloin onions and mash A+++ Tenderloin with St George cheese A+++ Desert: Pineapple cake: B we weren't fun of it Drinks: Green sangria: A+++ Overall, I would def recommend this place to try

For our last dinner in the Azores, the hotel recommended this charming and bustling spot near the main church in ponta Delgada. It is important to have a reservation as we saw them turn many would-be diners away. The tables in the small restaurant were continually full during our visit on a Wednesday night. The hardest thing about the restaurant is that the menu is HUGE with so many choices. It takes a lot of effort to get through it all. By now in our trip you'd think we would have learned to adjust for the massive portions but made the mistake yet again. We shared a tasty shrimp appetizer with puff pastry and ordered some garlic bread to start. The bread was like 8 huge slices alone. Then we each ordered a fettuccine-the bacon (pretty good) and the shrimp (just ok-strong tarragon flavor). We didn't even finish one of the large bowls of pasta. Since there's always room for dessert we had to get the chocolate profiteroles which were quite tasty. With wine it was a very reasonable meal at around €50. The manager of the restaurant is also quite the photographer so the walls are adorned with these amazing shots from around the Azo.

Taxi driver said this was the best in town and he wasn't wrong. Great food, wine and staff. Make reservations. Highly recommend.

Wonderful authentic restaurant in Ponta Delgada. Our tour company had prearranged dinner for us at this local restaurant while we visited Punta Delgada and we were extremely pleased. Even after we mixed up the time of our reservation (we were an hour late) the staff accommodated us, needless to say the service was excellent. The food was also great. I started with a shrimp tart and my husbanded opted for the fried calamari and we enjoyed the pork loin in mustard sauce and the local Azorean steak as main dishes. The house red wine was delicious and the chocolate mousse was devine. I recommend making a reservation as the restaurant fills up. We'll certainly be back on our next visit to the island.
