When you walk in, it immediately feels like home. All of the residents have their own apartment equipped with whatever fits their needs. All of the residents are like one big happy family and the staff is truly amazing. On top of the exceptional staff and environment, the facility also offers a beautiful backyard filled with gardens, flowers, and even a gazebo to sit and look at the view. There's always something to do at Sarah Harding, whether it's Bingo, crafts, church services, movies, and trips out and about. And don't even get me started on the amazing meals they have to offer! I would 100% recommend this facility if you or a loved one is looking for a safe place to live!

My 89 year old mom has been at Parkway for 3 months and her care has been excellent. The nurses…read morehave been very caring and helpful. The activities director, Jessica has been outstanding and has excellent activities planned AND the best thing is that she stops in mom's room and lets her know that it's time for the activity. Mom will often join with the personal invite. Mom's room is very clean and actually the entire center is kept very clean. My family is so happy that mom has such a caring place to be.

During these times of Covid employers should take extra caution towards their facility. But this facility does not. There's been times where I was sick and had gotten a Covid test and my employer was upset because I couldn't make it into work. That's happened twice. Recently I wasn't feeling the greatest and was puking and just had a sore throat and I mentioned that I couldn't make it into work that day. Marcie, the owner, then technically threatened me saying that if I didn't show up to work, I would be terminated. She knew I didn't feel well. I told her that I would provide a doctors note for her, but in her eyes that didn't matter and continued to tell me that I would be terminated. She tries to say it's because she can't depend on me because of my absences. But half of my absences were from doctors notes during the times I have gotten the Covid test. The other times, I usually found a replacement or traded shifts. There we're probably 5 times in the 5-6 months I've been there where they actually had to beg someone to work for me or they'd work themselves. Considering that they have this facility with older residents who can get sick easily, they should take extreme cautions of when their employees are sick. They shouldn't be forced to come into work. I've heard from my other coworkers as well that they were told to come in when they were sick. I've worked with a girl who was sick all week and technically that would be putting the residents in danger but they don't care. The fact that i was told that even if I missed work with a doctors note excusing me from that day, that I would be terminated, made me realize just how toxic of a place this is. So I quit. But also, some caregivers working there definitely shouldn't have a job. I see residents not getting what they asked for and I also see residents who get ignored. I go to a nurse who isn't busy and just sitting down and tell them that this resident wants to be taken back to their room and I get told that they'll have to wait, which is like another 15-20 minutes. I've seen another resident scream "help me, help me", and that same exact nurse told him that he'd have to wait as she continued talking to another employee...This place is not it! Oh, and let's not forget that the owners talk crap about their own employees and have said some rude things about the residents.

To say this place is amazing does not even do it justice. The Activity directors Kara and Rachel are wonderful. They enrich the residents lives each day. They are warm, loving and just all around great people. They truly love what they do and plan the best activities for the residents. People can stay active all day long if they choose. Kara and Rachel know each person and genuinely care for each of them. Without these two women Overlook would not be the same. The kitchen crew are a nice group of people and make great food through out the week. In finance Jaime is great and nice to work with. The cleaning crew is wonderful too. Such a fun, nice group of ladies. They keep the space spotless and do a great job on the residence rooms. The whole atmosphere at Overlook is friendly, upbeat and positive. The size of Overlook is great. Not to big where people don't know each other but a great size where there is space however, they all know each other. I can't say enough great things about this place! Help is also available when moving in. They're available to help place your belongings and doing the clean-up. She is making the most of it and having fun getting to know the other residents. We are able to visit outside and really enjoy our time in the front patio. Going to have to order electric socks and gloves soon though. Appreciate the steps they are taking to ensure everyone stays safe.
