Dr Restifo performed a mommy make over. He did a great job on my stomach and a terrible job on my breast. He never talked about size with me in my initial consultation at all. The day of surgery I thought he was going to go over size and did not. I told him I didn't want them very big but I did want them to fit my body. After surgery not only were my breasts too large but they were also very low. They were worse than what I had to began with. After about a month during my check up he admitted they had "dropped" and were low and said he would re-do them but it would cost another $2,000. I didn't do it and will get them redone. He also has no bedside manner or concern for his clients. He never suggested other ways he could do the tummy tuck that would have been better after all the weight I lost. He never went through a game plan with me on the best surgery to address the excess skin all over. I was also ripped off $4,000 because after I paid I received an email 2 weeks after my surgery that they were having a special and they wouldn't honor it for me. The woman that handles the payments is horrible, rude and a money hungry, shister. I was in the office for a check up and there was another client screaming at her because she received a surprise bill against what the woman had promised her. I highly recommend Dr.Restifo had a breast revision to freshen up and old augmentation. It came out perfect recovery was pretty much pain free I wish I did it years ago. He answered all my questions, I never felt pressured to get any additional work done. He did however suggested I don't get certain procedures as I would not be happy with the end results. I've been incredibly happy from my experience with Dr Restifo and his staff from beginning to end. The office staff is prompt and welcoming. The nurses have made me feel extremely comfortable and we're able to answer all my questions I've had through the entire process. I was amazed at how even after surgery the staff called several times to check on me and make sure I was doing great and was aware of all my upcoming appointments. Dr Restifo put me at ease from day one of meeting him. He is a perfectionist, an artist to what he does. I had my dressings removed a couple of days ago and all can say is....wow. Even with the swelling from the surgery my abdomen looks better than it ever has. And I suppose that as the swelling goes down my stomach will look even better, but already it looks better than I had hoped! I met Dr Restifo about 20 years ago when he took care of my mother who had breast cancer. And he was as I remembered him....thorough, patient and kind. So he was already on my shortlist of plastic surgeons that I planned to see. I saw two others as well, but Dr Restifo was the most qualified of the three, by far in my estimation. Further icing on the cake was that he could do it without drains. I had read about the drains and everybody that blogs about this surgery hates the drains. When I asked how he could do it without drains he said he would use "super glue" on me, which I thought was pretty funny. The staff that I interacted with were very nice, especially Lisa and Nurse Jackie. The staff at the surgery center were also really pleasant and caring, at the surgery center of Fairfield county. I feel that communication throughout this entire experience was really good, from calling for the first appointment to subsequent calls with questions to followup calls after surgery. I even had a call after hours and the answering service got Dr Restifo on the line right away. The communication aspect is very important as it makes a slightly scary experience much less so. I am incredibly satisfied with my entire experience! I did extensive research prior to making my decision and dr. Restifo was very thorough and I ended up with exactly what I wanted for my breast augmentation. The recovery was much more painful than I expected, but I was given clear instructions on how to follow up at home. My chest was drooping/dropping ever since I gave birth to my gorgeous children, and it really bothered me. I think it bothered my husband too but he would never admit that. I asked around..my friends, my ob-gyn doctor, on some blogs..and I kept hearing Dr. Restifo's name. And all god things. I went through with the surgery, having a lift with mesh, and I am really psyched about how great I look. I can wear just a T-shirt(around the house, not in public of course!) Dr. Restifo's has a very nice way about him, sort of calm and friendly and he really knows what he's doing. After having a bad experience over ten years ago with another plastic surgeon, I was nervous about having another procedure. However, Dr. Restifo put my fears at ease and I am extremely happy with the results of my surgery with him and his staff. I was on a diet plan to get ready for my daughter's wedding, but extra folds of skin in my abdominal area from my pregnancies were frustrating me. I also was quite unhappy with the previous breast augmentation I had with the other surgeon. Dr. Restifo took the time to listen to my frustrations and explain the best procedures to reach my goals. I decided to have a tummy tuck, breast lift and replace my previous implants. I had the surgery and was ready for my daughter's wedding five months later. I would give zero stars if I could. I did a breast reduction/ lift with Doctor Restifo and I honestly could have gotten better results by someone doing the job blind folded. I sent the office inspiration pictures, which included some of Dr Restifos own photos from his website. I've now come to wonder are those photos really even his or are they edited? My areolas are BOTCHED completely uneven NOT round at all. Both areolas look horrible. In the inspo pics I even showed him how I wanted my nipples to look, I wake up and the nipples weren't even worked on. He didn't even bother to go near them. I woke up the same way I walked into his office. I don't understand how someone can show you photos of what they'd like and you just completely ignore it? My breasts are also uneven on top of all of this. They were slightly uneven to begin with and he did not even bother trying to make them the same during reduction. Lastly, my breast's aren't even lifted. They have just been reduced in size. There is barely any lift. I go to my 3 month post op and Dr Restifo tells me to wait until 6 months and we will "fix it" I return in 6 months and he tells me "there's nothing we can really do" so I asked him "than why'd you tell me when I return in 6 months you will fix it???" He told me "you know what, yeah we'll fix it actually but there will be scars" sounds very promising. He wanted to "fix" the problem in his office under local anesthesia when he could of did all of this during my surgery because that was the whole point of why I went to him. I went to get PLASTIC SURGERY to feel better about my self and my confidence. Instead I leave botched unhappy and with empty pockets. If I wanted to be unhappy I would have just never paid him or went to him to still be unhappy. His response to all of this was "well sometimes things don't go the way they should" EXCUSE ME? Aren't you a professional? This is the easiest plastic surgery you could get and I just don't know what went wrong that he had me leave looking like this. If you admit things went wrong than you owe me my money back sir because I do not trust you getting near me ever again. Especially because you admit things went wrong and expect me to just live with it. Thank you so much for making me even more insecure than I was before surgery: now with ugly scars and botched breast's. I understand not everyone's perfect but don't label yourself as a professional than because a professional would try to fix the issue the right way and wants the customer to be happy. I cannot thank Dr. Restifo enough for his expertise in surgical enhancement! After having my first experience with a surgeon tell me that it was impossible to achieve a closer cleavage-line and having being unsatisfied with that result for several years, Dr. Restifo made the result of his work absolutely perfect! Very nice offices and surgery center. He and the staff are very personable and make one feel welcomed and a top priority. Unlike the aesthetic center I priorly went to in West Palm Beach where I felt I was treated more like a product. I had friends from WPB tell me that plastic/reconstructive surgeons "up there" (North) don't know what they're doing and would hack my body up. Can I give six stars? Let me start by saying that I have had prior encounters with plastic surgeons. Several, in fact. Not to mention that my brother-in-law is a plastic surgeon. Since it was too weird to see a family member, I asked him who I should see. He didn't even hesitate. The guy I should see was Dr. Restifo. I figured a recommendation from another plastic surgeon must be valid. So I went in to see him and we spent a lot of time talking about what I wanted, what would be involved, what are the pros and cons, how long for recovery. He was completely candid about everything and he certainly did not try to " sell" anything, which is different from my previous encounters with the specialty. As we were talking, he took copious notes as we talked and I felt that he was really listening. The surgery went down just the way he said it would. I was uncomfortable for a few days after my tummy tuck although he have me plenty of medication. I had a bunch of postoperative visits and I got the feeling that he was really invested in my outcome and experience. I went to see Dr. Restifo after searching the internet for Board Certified plastic surgeons in CT. I looked up his reviews and everyone seemed happy so i decided to call to make an appointment for a breast augmentation. The staff was very friendly and the availability was great. During my initial visit he listened to me and my concerns (he didnt seem pushy at all) he made me feel comfortable and i scheduled my surgery that same day. The lady i spoke with about payments and dates was very nice too (seemed like everyone in the office was very friendly). After surgery I went back to the office to get my stitches removed at his other location (which was also very nice and his staff there was friendly) and i couldnt be happier. I recommend him to everyone who asks. If i was still in CT i would go back for other surgeries but unfortunately im in CA now. If im ever in CT again and needed something id go see him. read more

The results of successful plastic surgery should be seen years after the procedure. Eleven years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a lumpectomy, followed by a mastectomy, after adjacent lymph nodes were found to be cancerous. Dr. Restifo came very highly recommended. During the initial consult prior to the actual mastectomy, he offered a choice between an implant and a TRAM flap reconstruction. The benefits of the TRAM flap were that there was no replacement necessary after 10 years, which at the time was recommended for implants, and that since it involved transfer of muscle, fat, and skin from the patient's own body, there was less likelihood of rejection of a foreign body in the reconstructed region. He said it would be a longer surgery, but that it would be done at the same time as the mastectomy and had the added benefit of performing a tummy tuck at the same time, since the donor tissue would be coming from the lower abdomen. He also said some revision surgery might be necessary. After the surgery, I met with him and told him that I had a significant upper abdomen bulge on the right side and was unable to wear my fitted jackets. I wanted to know how long it would take that bulge to subside. That's when I found out it wouldn't; it is called a TRAM flap bulge. It was so prominent I thought it made me look like I was pregnant and carrying the baby high. The bulge is slightly less prominent today, but I am still unable to wear fitted clothing. As to the results of the actual reconstruction, it resulted in a left breast mound that was at least two cup sizes smaller than the remaining natural breast. The appearance looks like melted wax. I have periodic pain under the breast mound, no doubt from internal scarring, but I also have experienced what I thought were hernia bulges in my lower right abdomen. I discovered recently that there is no actual hernia, but there appears to be a flap of fat that gets pushed out with digestive track action. This has increased in frequency in the past year and I am researching how to have this corrected since it is quite painful. I see by the website that all the before and after photos follow saline or silicone implants, resulting in natural, symmetrical results. I assume Dr. Restifo has abandoned using the TRAM flap method for reconstruction. I met another woman who had the same procedure from Dr. Restifo, and we discussed our results and cried together. He gets one star for having a nice office. N.B.: I did try to schedule revision surgery the year after the initial procedure and minor some revision, but I was unable to afford insurance anymore and was relying on Medicare for disability, which his office said was not accepted. I now get my care from the Veterans Administration and hope to get corrective surgery through the Veterans' Choice program. Obviously, reconstructive surgery is something generally unavailable at the VA, since most veterans are men. read more

I went to Dr. Restifo for a breast augmentation surgery. Previously I had two other consults with other plastic surgeons in the area. I knew how I wanted to look but was very afraid it couldnt be accomplished. I was a AA cup size and most thin women have trouble with the surgery looking natural. Two other girlfriends had went to Dr. Restifo and were satisfied. At the consulation, the doctor discussed what I wanted and said it could work, it was about 20 minutes. I spoke to the finance manager which was helpful. Now I booked the surgery. I went in for the pictures and to discuss the surgery in more detail. Amanda the PA went over everything in quite length of what would happen. She answered all my questions and she spent close to an hour with me. Now surgery day. Dr. Restifo met me pre operatively and we finalized the size and what I wanted. Surgery went well. Pain was alittle much the first two days. First follow up was two days later. Dr. Restifo removed my sutures. A week later I went back. Everything was moving along. I was sore but I went back to work after 4 days. I called during this time to ask a few questions and the nurse couldnt of been helpful. I have to say everytime I called they were more than helpful and so kind. 2 months now I go back. I felt like family now. The staff couldnt of been more kind and caring. Calling me by name and remembering how my surgery went was awesome. The outcome? My breast are fabulous. Dr. Restifo was spot on with what I wanted, size, shape and so natural looking. I went from a AA to a very full C. Girlfriends of mine who had it done elsewhere want redos now that they see what mine look like. I cant Thank the doctor enough. If you want perfection I highly recommend Dr. Restifo. I also want to Thank his PA Amanda, his nurse and the receptionist who are the most kind and caring staff.
