"Restora" is under new management and it is now called "Desert Concrete Restoration." I think the same crew is doing the same crap job because I've seen the photos from other reviews and I experienced the same negligent job. BE CAREFUL OF BOTH COMPANIES AND DO NOT HIRE THEM. I hired Desert Concrete Restoration to do a smooth concrete overlay to fix the terrible stamped concrete that another company did. However, Desert Concrete Restoration left a worse job than what they attempted to fix. I personally observed her crew members openly smoke marijuana ON THE JOB SITE (one of them would leave the job site to obtain his fentanyl fix from the drug house down the street and is now in recovery, which I PERSONALLY observed). Another crew member was the owner's son, who only worked for 2 hours per day. As a result of her crew's open and reckless drug use: (1) this job was ongoing for 2 months because the crew has had to fix their mistakes 4 TIMES, as they were not able to get the surfacing right; (2) the expansion joints are ALL crooked (only one was done correctly) and cut jaggedly and in a zig-zagged pattern, with cut marks laden throughout the sides of the concrete because the person who did the cutting job would openly smoke blunts while working; (3) the finishing is lumpy, uneven, and has excessive trowel marks, which are unevenly distributed; (4) there is no finishing or beveling on the sides of the concrete, which is similarly uneven, lumpy, and has dried sealant drip marks (despite the previous company's negligent work, the sides of the concrete were at least finished. Desert Concrete Restoration even ruined already-straight sides and finish); (5) the crew forgot, on a daily basis, due to the fact that they were working while high, to cover the filters of my pool, so concrete collected in the filter (one of them forgot a screwdriver in the skimmer for about 2 months). As a result, (a) I had to pay out of pocket to have the filter changed before the regular due date; (b) the owner of the company, when sealing the concrete unevenly and unprofessionally, broke the plug of the filter cartridge, which flooded my property and required me to incur additional out of pocket costs; (c) due to the fact that so much concrete dust (and a screwdriver) collected in the autofill filter, the autofill broke and the pool flooded concurrently to the owner breaking the filter plug, thus exacerbating the flooding of my property and causing me additional out of pocket costs. I priced fixing their mistakes and the quotes were in the $20,000 range. DON'T HIRE EITHER COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY. I've reported Desert Concrete Restoration to the California State Licensing Board and anyone who is a victim of their crew working under the influence should do the same. As a response to Anthony P's post: I believe this is a fraudulent response. I have never contracted with Anthony P., I've never communicated with Anthony P., and I have absolutely no idea how Anthony P. knows about my job. However, if there was nothing wrong with the job, then there would be nothing to communicate with me about to "fix," right? I think people who read this will be smart enough to discern the fraud, particularly from the contradictory response. Nonetheless, I have absolutely no idea who Anthony P. is and why he is responding. PLEASE EVERYONE BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT HIRE THEM!! read more

The worst company I've dealt with in the last 22 years of living in Palm Springs. They flat out lie! Never show, when they do, the people sent are unknowable of anything concrete? We started daily with a joker using our bathroom for 30 minutes every morning, that they showed. Then they might work 20 minutes, until there dead equipment broke. Then they would leave never to return. They said they could do the work in a month, they would move the furniture, and when done clean up, and wash the windows, they didn't start until a month and a half later. Said it would take a week, but after a month, I had to leave town, so they slopped a coat of sealer on it, and said they were done. So I left town with a garbage strewn pool, with dirty windows, coated in sludge from there expert bathroom, power washer. When I returned 3 months later, the sealer had disappeared, and all the cracks opened up, and there patching had chipped off. The owner came bye to look at it a week later, got down on her hands and knees and tried to pick off tape that was glued in the sealer? Said she might be able to get back to it in a month and a half. Well my house is a pile of patio furniture, blocking my guest room, and garage, so I said, this is a problem from 6 months ago, and I couldn't wait. So she blew me off. Her schedule not mine . Well long story short, it's a family run con job! Kimberly, her husband, and there person Maning the phones, Claudia, are all con artists. There workmanship is worthless, there guarantees are worthless, they do not stand behind there product. And they lie through their false teeth! Total tragic, unprofessional, band of "Desert Carpet Baggers!" Use anyone but Restora Con men! I started this last April, notified you then, notified you in July, then as soon as I returned. You had full knowledge of the issue, for 6 months. So then I guess I need to know what might have been your timeline. I did ask 4 times for a date, never got anything other. Than after Christmas... Well you sit in your house full of patio furniture, unable to use your patios, because a company you paid in full, can't schedule .like I said, I asked 4 times . We saw Restora in a Palm Springs magazine and visited their store and was immediately impressed with Claudia who introduced us to their many products. We were interested in resurfacing with their patented materials. Everyone we meet from Claudia to Jose the primary installer was very friendly and knowledgeable. They cleaned, sanded and cut straight stress lines in the cement to control cracks and then applied 6 coats of material to make the patio shine and look like new. Jose was amazing and helped us with unrelated tasks that needed two people to complete. We are very happy with Restora. read more

About 4 1/2 years ago we had our concrete patio refinished by Restora. They did a fabulous job and the crew was excellent. It was time to address some minor issues after about 4 1/2 years. We have had a terrible experience with Restora. They had us sign a contract for 5 years of warranty. We paid a very high price to re-seal the backyard but felt reassured at least that there was warranty. They will not return phone calls or emails and will not send anyone to look at the peeling sealant. This is most definitely, in my opinion, a scam. A take the money and run company. This company has been incredibly frustrating. We contacted them to restore out back yard patio. Kim came out and gave us a bid. We paid the deposit, agreed upon a start date, and were informed the project would take 2 days. A crew came on the start date, and then never showed up again. They basically moved our furniture and hosed down the deck. We called the office constantly. Every day was a new excuse, and they were rude. Finally, after at least 20 phone calls (and a month!) we were informed that the project was finished. Save yourself some aggravation, and DO NOT hire this company! read more

I was forced to change my appointment a couple of times for resealing my back patio. While this was annoying and inconvenient for me, I am glad I stuck with Restora. When they finally got here, they did the job in two days and it was done with neatness and quality workmanship. I understand that they had employment issues due to Covid like almost every business in the Coachella Valley, so we customers should give them a break. I don't like to give bad ratings, but in this case I feel a curtain amount of responsibility to protect my fellow consumers. We had a similar experience like Randy D. and Dianne M. In less than two years after Restora's work, our pool deck completely faded and peeled. After months of harassing them they did finally honor their warranty, but they came back and did it all wrong. Permanent foot prints, paint splattered on tile and doors and worst of all they put down a slippery sealer that is downright dangerous to walk on when wet. Now we have to hire another company to come out and redo our entire backyard. Do yourself a favor, don't make the same expensive mistake we did. read more

I used Resotra for the second time. The company came out to restore our back patio. The first day they began their project, I informed them that the finish was to shiny and was not what they did the previous time. The on-site supervisor told me it would dry with the dull finish we had ordered. After contacting them a representative said that they couldn't afford to come out and fix THIER mistake without an additional $150 charge. I would not recommend Restora and I have told all of my neighbors in Heritage Palms never to use their services. read more

Currently the work force, supervision and management at Restora are subpar (F grade). As would be expected after experiencing such resources the resulting resurfaced concrete floor "finished by Restora" contained numerous defects. And of course Restora has been unwilling to promptly honor it's five year warranty notwithstanding the contract price has been fully paid. We are now proceeding with additional substantial concrete resurfacing and would not use or recommend Restora. Restora is no longer the company we used about seven years ago. read more

This company is a joke!!! Terrible customer engagement and correspondence through the planning phase and project completion. Really wish we had checked these reviews prior to committing to the company & project. This project has been a nightmare from day 1 and we are still not complete. Project was supposed to take "5-7 business days"...3 weeks later Restora still has a mess to clean up. Warned them in advance several things we wanted them to pay close attention to, including...not getting paint on our expensive fake turf around the patio deck. Well, that didn't happen and our extremely expensive, nice turf has paint all over it. We have several pictures that show many other areas they splattered paint into our landscape rocks, landscape lighting, screen doors, fountain, etc. Not to mention we had to turn off our pool system for 2 weeks then pay out of pocket to shock our pool using our service because the service they had committed to providing in advance wasn't available. Each day throughout the project it was very unpredictable how much work they'd get done. Sometimes there'd be 1 person for 1-2 hrs and sometimes nobody would show up. There was always an excuse!! To make this matter worse...it is nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone at the company as we speak. Have left several messages with zero response. AND Kimberly their supposed Sales Person hasn't even set up her voicemail nor does she respond. This company should be out of business!!! I recently hired Restora to resurface my driveway. I live in a high-end gated community. It was very important to me that the job be done to perfection. I had seen Restora's ads and I had the opportunity to see a few of the jobs that they had previously done. I had viewed some mixed reviews, but the work spoke for itself. The customers that I spoke to raved about Restora so I decided to move forward with them. Kimberly gave me an estimate after walking me through the process and spending time with me so that I fully understood everything. I then went to the show room and met with Claudia, who showed me several examples of finishes and styles. She was articulate and very helpful from beginning to end. Vicente, who did the work had great ideas and was the consummate professional. He kept me fully informed of what would transpire each day. Showed up on time every day and went way beyond anything I could have expected. I highly recommend this company. I am a perfectionist, and I have very high expectations which Restora exceeded on every level. Thank you, Vicente, Claudia and Kimberly. Kimberly came out and measured to clean and reseal a large area of flagstone. Indicated a reasonable estimate. Then quoted an insane amount of $4 a foot. On further questioning of process she responded then went compeletely unresponsive. So i got another quote from a stone expert who provided much more professional input and advice. His estimate was.60 cents per foot which is light because upon detailed inspection much more work is needed. His cost will be more like 1.50-2.00 a foot but more grinding and polishing is needed than just acid wash. The job is pretty intense. All in all, even though Restora came recommended i found them amateurish and not customer friendly. Luckily for me I determined this early. Would not recommend as i do not trust they can handle hard and difficult jobs. read more

In October, 2019, we signed a contract with Restora because they had done such a wonderful job on our back patio several years ago. This experience with Restora was a disaster. They would come erratically, spend two hours here and leave; not come at all. Naturally, they grossly exceeded the stated completion date. Consequently, we were without our garage for over three weeks... and we have a hybrid, which requires an outlet. They still have not completed their tasks, and not yet completed their contractual responsibilities. The worst and most disappointing experience was when Restora charged us the final payment without our authorization. They now refuse to answer their phone so we have filed a dispute with the credit card company. The sad part is that Restora's owner, Tony, did not manage his company like this. We originally contracted with Restora in 2007 to do our pool deck. Back then their product would chip, bubble and needed to be repaired all the time. Ten years later they told me they have a new procedure to make it last. We will see. I am giving them 5 stars because they came out and removed the original deck down to the concrete and did a complete redo. They showed up on time every day and office secretary communicated with us along the way. They have obviously changed their business model to be more customer oriented. read more

Restora re-surfaced our driveway, front patio, and side walkway. Their work was excellent!! We had set a start date to begin the project and they arrived on time. Enrique introduced us to the crew and outlined how the project would proceed. His estimate of time to complete the job was right-on. The job took a total of 6 days. While Enrique was not always present when the crew was working, the crew was very capable and did a great job. They laid out the necessary drop cloths to protect surrounding surfaces, properly masked attached surfaces, and explained what they were doing. When the job was completed, they did an excellent job of cleanup. Enrique had great design ideas and the finished product was perfect. Thank you Restora!!! read more

They worked very hard in the summer heat, finished the job on schedule, and did clean up including windows and pool. Very professional crew and office staff. Some of the work was not completed and was poorly done. The request to complete the spa as contracted was meet with resistance and delay. The pavers were also poorly done and the request to redo was not done even though it was supposed to have a 5-year guarantee. I would not use them again or recommended them to my friends. read more

Beware. Their TV commercial says "we are the best and we can prove it". Tony (owner) Sells his service but after that they were very unorganized and no follow thru. Took way longer to complete than promised. Final coating/sealer (2 coats) were applied to quickly between applications. First coat was not dried before the second coat was added and would not dry. Was sticky and left foot prints everywhere. After complaining they never would return calls, never came back to fix. Their warranty is also useless since they would not come back. Unfortunately they were paid before the issue with the sealer not drying occurred. I hired another company to strip the sealer and apply the it properly. read more

My pool deck restoration was completed yesterday and I could not be happier. The guys that worked on it: Moses, Jimmy, Danny, Jose and a couple of guys that I don't remember their names were professional, personable and took great pride in their workmanship. The office staff was polite and helped me out when I had to call during the week with questions. The job was completed on time within a week and looks phenomenal. We have been doing business with Restora for over 5 years. They did an excellent job on your patio and pool deck and after 5 years per the warranty we had them come back to power wash and polish the patio and pool deck. I highly recommend the work they did. Our issue with Restora is their in-house call service. After the latest power wash and polish in late June 2018 there were some areas that were not properly completed. We called in July to schedule a follow up. We were told the person that did our work was hospitalized and could not come out until he was over his illness in a month or so. I continued to call in August, September and now October. I was told while he was back on the job he had backup work to finish before us (I knew this was not true since one of our friends who we turned on to Restora had only recently called them for some touch up and they were doing it at their place). Finally on October 25th, after repeated calls and NO call back to me, the person came and analyzed what needed to be done and will complete the work this week. As a long term customer who recommended Restora to many and two of which have used Restora for their work we expected to be treated better. The work they do is great - their in-house call staff is not. read more

Wednesday came and went....no show, no call, no answer when I called to ask where they were. Got a recording, left a message...no follow up. Hired for a simple project to restore the concrete edge of the pool. Was to take 6 days. It actually took a couple weeks and they are still not done with clean up. They do not believe in masking off adjoining areas. Overlay material was spilled on newly installed pavers and pool stone tile. The pavers were ultimately cleaned to an acceptable level but the pool tile has not been touched. I have left messages fro them and they do not respond. Recommend you use someone else. read more
