Food is a little on the pricey side, but right in the range for this style of cafe. The staff are always very friendly, and even when it is busy it's generally a quiet place. I haven't gone in nice weather yet but they have a patio with heaters that would be lovely to sit in. My meals are always delicious and the food fresh, portions are right in the middle, not huge but not small. I do not drink coffee EVER, but I tried their iced coffee here and I loved it. However I always end up waiting a long time for my food and coffee to come out. Today I didn't have time to wait so I ordered online. When I arrived and picked up my food I sat at an open table to eat it. Within a minute a server came over and asked us to leave because we had ordered online. Usually the food is pretty great, which is a reason for the 2 good stars. However, this place fails when it comes to the details. This is the third time, in a row, that they have not gotten my order correct. The first time, I asked for add ins for my eggs and did not receive them. I do not eat plain eggs so the entire $11 meal was given to the dog. The next time, I ordered the $3 toast and local jam, only for the jam to be forgotten. I was told I would receive refunds for both of those meals, but did not get one. Today, I tried again and ordered the toast and jam and still, the jam was left out of my meal....even after I specifically asked for it. When I went to call this afternoon to tell them about my experience, my phone number had been blocked from calling. My wife loves to get on yelp and find local hidden gems in whatever city we move to. Her favorites are cafe's, and we have been to hundreds all over the country. Usually I'm not into vegan/vegetarian places, that's more her "thing", but I have to say they knocked it out of the park here. Everything we ordered tasted and looked delicious! Great laid back atmosphere. The cafe is nice and modern but also encompasses old stain glass windows. There is a waitress that takes your order but I saw people ordering at the counter too. Plenty of people eating and doing work as well. A nice place to study. For drinks they have a variety of fresh juices they make and they serve them in beakers. Favorites: Soothe(carrot, apple, ginger, and lemon juice) with cinnamon and cayenne added, without ice - this combination of sweet and spicy was a great way to start my morning, two days in a row. This place is great! There are lots of great plant-based options available here. I usually get the Buddha bowl, and sometimes the other bowls made vegan. They also offer an impossible burger, which is ridiculously good. They have some great add-ons to their bowls, including lemon pepper tofu and butternut squash quinoa cakes. I've only had coffee here, but it was excellent. I've been twice, and one of those times, I witnessed some really uncomfortable and abhorrent behavior from the owner. The women working there are pleasant enough, but the owner is not. Another reviewer already prefaced the same event I witnessed, but two weeks ago, I saw the owner aggressively approach a man with his family over moving two chairs, which were in a small area at the front. The cafe was very busy and this was the only area for this family to go. The owner said "I don't come into your house and move your furniture." The man (who didn't even have the opportunity to purchase anything, so the business lost out on that), responded appropriately defensively, and the owner got in his face as if to start a physical altercation. Overall, it was super awkward and uncool to witness. If I ever get coffee here again, it will definitely be to go. read more

As a since nerd myself, this was a unique and nice touch. I ordered the breakfast tacos which was delicious. The chorizo provided a mild kick to the tacos which I love. There are only 2 tacos that come in one order which was fine for me as I wasn't that hungry. However, if you're starving, you might want to go with another option as 2 tacos are not very filling. The food was okay. The biggest thing with me when I try these new food spots is the hospitality. The people behind the counter were very rude when we ask about our order which took a long time. The menu has a great amount of options, especially for those with dietary restrictions. They seem to pride themselves on their various juices and smoothies which were appropriately prices around $4-6. I opted for the cold brew iced coffee which was nicely made and strong. For food, I ended up ordering the breakfast tacos, which came in what seemed like homemade tortillas with chorizo, potatoes, and egg. They are incredibly good and flavorful. I'll always think of this place as the restaurant in the lobby of an apartment building, very casual but it's got its charm. The food is not-the-ordinary vegan options we find in other places. My vegan husband enjoys his meals there. I still find it confusing at times with their service. A staff will come get your orders, but you have to get your own water from the dispensers. The food here is decent, I come here to get a breakfast egg wraps because they offer gluten free options as some places do not. However, it always seems to become a hassle trying to place an order, and the biggest issue I've come across is their customer service. When asking to put a salad into a wrap or substitute something, customer service argues with you on how they can't accommodate. Example: After being placed on hold from placing the order on the phone, they verify they can accommodate - then sadly when I arrive to pick up my order, they argue that it was "miscommunication" on my end. In the end nothing was offered to correct the order. Sorry to say but I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
