We ordered $55 of food, left an $8 tip (mind you, we weren't being waited on), and had our 3 month old in a stroller meanwhile there were parties of two sitting at 4 tops, singles sitting at 2 tops with an empty cup. The wait staff here is so incredibly friendly, and they make the cafe a peaceful place where the food and juices are healthy, and they have many vegetarian options, not to common in Manchester! The food is consistently outstanding. I spend time in here drinking coffee and enjoying good, peaceful cafe time and enjoy the friendliness of the staff and environment. One problem occurred today, and I hesitated to post this, but I think it could help. The cook, who I believe is also the owner, was aggressively and loudly yelling at the waitresses. The tirade was in ear shot of customers, some of whom were shaking their heads. This not relaxing. Worse, it was abusive to the hard-working waitstaff. This past weekend I was eating lunch in this restaurant and witnessed the owner behave in a completely unprofessional and sickening way. My spouse and I watched as he approached a family with two small children and confronted them over moving two chairs to accommodate their party size. I work in the restaurant business and see this done regularly, so I was extremely shocked to see the owner become aggressive with them over something that happens in restaurants everyday. What I can't get over is the shock and fear I witnessed on that family's small children's faces when a stranger became aggressive with who I can only assume is their father. It's an image I can't seem to get out of my head, they were truly terrified! With that being said, I would highly recommend to never give this restaurant your business if this is who the owner behaves. Just found this place! Love it on sight! They serve a wonderful Nitro Cold brew which is not easy to find and my food was fantastic. I love the decor and feel of the place! Visiting Manchester for the weekend (go figure) jk and we just happened to roll into the Restoration Cafe so...... can't thank them enough for an amazing Sunday brunch, the menu was eclectic and creative combo's and it made it hard to decide. Hamburger plate was killer but Med. Sandwich was fantastic as well as the 4 cheese bacon tomato sandwich which is a home go to but they did it just as well. Chefs stopped by the table checking out our opinion which I truly appreciate. Our server dude made great drinks and some local history which made everyone happy. Restoration Cafe started with a great idea, but the execution is a little off. All cities like Manchester need a fancy coffee and sandwiches cafe. I like the use of local ingredients in the dishes, but the assembly could use a little more thought. Sandwiches are served on quality bread, but its sliced quite thin and would be improved by toasting or grilling. They use locally roasted coffee, but the cappuccinos are on the weaker side. I think some fairly small tweaks could elevate this from a decent place to a really good one. Prices are pretty reasonable and the old mill location is quite nice. read more

New Hidden gem discovered - it's inside the flats on the first floor and they have a private little patio. It's like a mix between the birch on elm, milk and honey cafe, and cafe la reine, they have all healthy food options. They have healthy lil natural remedy drinks non alcoholic which is so cool! - As well as mixology alcoholic beverages as well. They have breakfast lunch and dinner. It's a nice classy chill place. A rarity to find in downtown Manchester. It is also family friendly and the owners seem to value customer service and hospitality a lot which is such a nice breath of fresh air then the typical home owned restaurants that have their employees just zipping and flitting around being short with you.
