I had an appointment for my child yesterday and due to an accident on the freeway between myself and the destination I knew I was going to be late for the appointment. I dutifully called to the office to notify them of that and was told that it should be fine, they would contact the receptionist at the office we were heading to to let them know and they have a 15 minute grace period so it shouldn't be an issue. I got to the office as quickly as I safely could and made it at 4:35 which was 15 minutes after the appointment but still within the stated grace period. When I got to the desk the receptionist informed me that the doctor had already left for the day and there was no one there to see my son despite my best efforts to get him there including notifying them I would be late and I was on the way. Considering the fact that the receptionist was more than prepared to tell me too bad it shows me that they never had any intention to see my son. This practice is a disgrace. This isn't the first issue I have had with them giving incorrect information with their office staff but it will certainly be the last.

After completing the paperwork I was walked back to start my appointment, almost immediately. This is always a great perk to not have to sit and wait for who knows how long due to someone being behind schedule. I really liked that the assistants get the process starting by asking some questions and doing a couple of the first tests. After I was done with that portion I was personally walked into the exam room and greeted by Dr. Goodfellow just a few moments after. Dr. Goodfellow did a great job at asking me questions, learning more about me and my issues. Through learning more about me, he was able to give some great advice with even better reasons to back up his professional advice. I left with a totally new prescription that fit my eyes WAY better than my previous. I especially like that he wasn't afraid to give me a weaker prescription than my current one - this to me feels like he isn't trying to make my eyes worse and keep me coming back for new prescriptions and really just trying to create the best solution for me on the spot. I was told since I did not purchase insurance they only cover their work for 60 days. I have worn glasses for over 40 years and when I have to spend several hundreds of dollars on them I take good care of them. When a business asks you to pay for insurance to cover their own work I believe that to be an extremely poor business model. If their scratch resistant coating will not last more than 60 days I believe that to be a defect but yet they will not replace my lenses. Again, I have only had these lenses less than 90 days. My 20 daughter went in for her annual physical and vacinations that she set up the previous year in advance. They took her card ran it and gave her great service until the bills started coming in the mail. No! i went right there. They said that is odd. Well, after the run arround they finely just decided to say well Dr. doesn't accept Priorty Health Spectrum and said the patient should of researched before her appointment. Well returning client? So before you go to the Doctor you better make sure they still take your insurance because they apparently do not know in house what they accept day to day. So, back at college no Doctor to call while sick They want to know how she wants to pay. Well what part of 0 income college student. Well she can make payments. Super, she will graduate in 2021 and then hopefully be employed right away then she can start paying you for your clerical error nobody will own up to. So sad all about your account number and money$$$ forgot she was a patient and is a human and does have insurance that is paid a high montly premium on.
