I've been very happy with my results and service and will actually be returning for my botox. I bought a package over the phone; I never signed any paperwork stating I couldn't get a refund on unused package services. I was going to do laser hair removal and I couldn't handle the pain, so I asked for a refund and I was told several times I couldn't get one because apparently "all sales are final." Wow that would have been nice to know but again, I bought the package over the phone to take advantage of a deal they were offering before it ended. When I came in to attempt my first laser service, I again did not sign any paperwork stating no refunds. InnerBeauty said my only option was to switch it to an "in-store credit" but my Esthetician left and that's the only reason why I was going to this place. My options were to see another Esthetician or buy product. So finally after multiple times of trying to just get my money back, I settled with buying product so I could just be done with this place!!! I came in to buy my product yesterday and I've never felt so disrespected in my life. It was very obvious the front desk and another employee knew exactly who I was because I stated my first name and the front desk girl already knew my last name (I had only been there twice to specifically see my Esthetician) and all they did was stare, judge and laugh while I was trying to figure out what product to get. This place is called "InnerBeauty Med Spa" but there is nothing beautiful about making people feel uncomfortable when walking-in there and only wanting their money. My family, friends and I will be going elsewhere to get a better experience.

I got a bottle of water, a quick tour of the clinic, and then the salesperson and I sat in a little conference room where she showed me a video and went over the services they offer. They offer services on individual body parts, like upper and lower legs, upper and lower chest, armpits, neckline, etc. They also have package deals like whole leg and "tshirt" (front and back tshirt are separate services). The sales process is low-pressure and easy. The person who handles sales at this particular location is super personable. We had and still have great conversations. One downside to the services offered is that you can't get "spot" treated. They only cover whole body parts. So, for instance, if you get your chest done, they don't also do the shoulders. You have to pay for the whole tshirt service to get both chest and shoulders done. This can end up looking a little funny if you're really hairy because there's a hard line where the hair ends and the treated area begins. For instance, if you get a tshirt service and have pretty hairy arms, your bald shoulders abruptly become very hairy forearms that need to be kept trimmed in order not to look weird. I asked if I could get my forearms treated, but not go through all 7 (or however many it takes) sessions so the hair is just more sparse instead of having totally hairless arms, and that wasn't an option. It's also very expensive. Even just getting your neckline done will set you back a few thousand dollars, financed over a several years. (The financing is technically interest-free, but if you pay up-front there's a discount.) On the bright side, those are my only real gripes about the company. I didn't comparison shop, but Milan offers unlimited treatments forever, unlike most of their competitors. The price might actually be very reasonable, depending on how many follow-up appointments you need. Apparently most people will need to go back once a year or every couple of years for a touch-up. I had my first session with the provider about a week after my consult. The provider is a nurse who's overseen by a physician. I think the Mayo Clinic advises that people who want laser hair removal should only have it done by a physician. That's kinda absurd, if you ask me. This isn't an invasive process at all, and this provider is very knowledgeable in the craft. It's obviously higher-tech than waxing, but it's not exactly surgery either. Here's how it works: You're asked to go in with the area to be treated clean-shaven. (I thought it only needed to be clipper-shaved, but you actually should use a razor. The provider had to shave me down before we got started.) The provider draws a grid on the area with a white eyeliner pencil to give herself sections to work on. During the first session, the laser is set to a fairly low valence. I've heard it compared to being popped by a rubber band. It's actually not even that bad because each zap is followed by a puff of cold air that sooths it. The laser is a hand-held device with a round plastic tip on the end, maybe an inch in diameter. The practitioner places the plastic tip on the skin, inch by inch, until the section is done. Once done, she puts a little checkmark to indicate that it's done and then moves on to the next section. The speed at which she works is pretty much dependent on the client's comfort level. I find that areas where I'm ticklish are pretty excruciating, even with the cold puff, so she has to go fairly slow. Areas where I'm not ticklish are perfectly fine and she can go a lot faster. I can't even feel the zaps in some spots. One thing I didn't expect but probably should have is the smell the burnt hair. It's pretty gross, but you get used to it. The valence of the laser goes up with each treatment, so you feel it a little more each time. Thankfully, the painful parts are over pretty quickly. I took ibuprofen and did a hit of a delta-8 vape before session 3, and it was much more bearable. You can't get any sun on the treated areas between sessions. If you like to hang out at the pool or on a boat in the summer, you'll have to cover up. They advise that the skin might be tender or painful after treatments. This hasn't been my experience at all. After it's over, the practitioner spreads some aloe vera gel on me, I get dressed, and I have no lingering effects. I've taken hot showers afterwards with no problem. Your mileage may vary, though. All things considered, if you're looking for a more-or-less permanent solution to unsightly body hair, I definitely recommend looking into Milan. Their unlimited sessions plan is the biggest selling point in my opinion.

I started with one package and I've upgraded/added more body parts to my plan since I'm so happy with the results I'm seeing! I appreciated that. How many businesses do that? Like 0? I can't speak to how their service has been since then, as I have not been a client. But if they have invested in newer technology - and trained staff well - then maybe the experience would be different today. I should also note that they proactively offered to refund a portion of my money - which I initially declined, but they insisted in order to reconcile and make it right. I am changing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars - not because they refunded some money but because it means a lot for a business to take accountability for their work. They should get credit for that. And the opportunity for a second chance, since they are willing to stand behind their work. After what I've learned, my recommendation is to try a couple of places, see what their recommended approach is (as there are some options, like laser and different kinds of electrolysis), maybe try 1 session so that you can compare approaches (keeping in mind that permanent hair removal results are not immediate, unfortunately), and see where you are most comfortable. (That's probably way more effort than you anticipated (Sorry!) but could be worth it.)

I was warned of the post treatment burning sensation and of the possibility of inflammation. Those both happened to a degree which I don't feel I was warned about. On day 6, I developed what I thought was a rash/infection by my mouth. I contacted my doctor since it was a Sunday, and was advised to be seen in person. Turned out that I had gotten shingles (I have been vaccinated)! I was prescribed an Antiviral as well as some ointment. I had also sent an email to Belladerm. They did contact me on Monday and offered to call in a prescription for an Antiviral. I feel like some sort of partial refund for the issue would have been an appropriate gesture. I will say that my skin tone from the treatment is a little better, but not TWO THOUSAND dollars better (plus the cost of the doctors visit and prescriptions). It was not money well spent. I did learn my lesson.

I was going through a tough time and thought I would boost myself with Cool Tone. It is a machine that has a paddle, more or less, that is placed over the area you would like to tone. I asked, so I should be able to work out more easily, because it's stimulating my muscles, correct? I was told, yes, that should be the case. No. It didn't. It didn't really do anything at all. What's sooo disappointing is I fell for the sales pitch (done via video because of COVID.) I was offered the same "deal" everyone refers to in their reviews. So I'm out around $3000 and locked into this payment plan. Every month this bill comes up, I cringe. I am so mad at myself for falling for this. Bottom line: if you want to see results as far as fat reduction, etc., I think a tummy tuck or liposuction is really the only way to go. I've been researching this, and just wish I had beforehand. So go for the Botox, not the sculpting of any kind.
