She greeted me promptly and we talked through a brief intake form. From there we were off on a 90 minute productive massage journey together. She invited me to comment on pressure or any discomfort, but I honestly thought she read my body really well and focused on areas that we discussed were in need of strong hands. Stephanie has been my massage therapist for about ten years. Her customized massages have been critical in dealing with a chronic illness. I tried many other massage therapists before finding Stephanie but now will not go anywhere else. What a great help with present pandemic stresses! Like the other reviewers mentioned, Stephanie took time to discuss where I was feeling pain/tension before my first session and at each subsequent visit. She is very receptive to questions and feedback during the sessions as well. I have not had a problem with any outside noise, and she does create a relaxing atmosphere. I was a little uneasy at first because prior massages I've had were in a busy "mega business" and this was in a bedroom of an old, beautiful house converted into a business. Stephanie asked me questions about my needs and preferences. She focused on my troubled areas as well as a full body massage. Stephanie was a fabulous masseuse, this low rating it not for her at all. She really worked out all the tension in my shoulders and neck. She absolutely is a wonderful masseuse. However I could never get fully relaxed because of the LOUD ASS Bardstown road traffic!!!! The environment was just not relaxing at all. If she would move to a quieter place, use some essential oils, & have some more relaxing decor, she would be killing it. Great masseuse, great massage, terrible environment. Stephanie was wonderful! I was visiting and she was able to fit me right in! My shoulder was in so much pain and she loosened me right up. The room was tranquil and relaxing and she was very professional. She made sure to collect accurate background/medical information before proceeding with my problem areas.
