The following thoughts about a recent listing and sale should help understand why I think so highly of Skip. I found him to be exceptionally skillful and professional throughout a long, drawn-out (multi-month) negotiation that could have and probably would have failed if he hadn't been involved. There were many instances where the buyers were making unreasonable demands and we were prepared to end the negotiations. Fortunately, Skip convinced us that it would be better to counter their demands and stand our ground; a strategy that eventually paid-off in a sale. I also appreciated the advice he gave me on dealing with significant repairs. Of particular note, his proposal that we ask the buyers to adjust their offer price to offset the total cost of a repair saved us thousands of dollars and allowed the buyers to integrate the cost to them into their loan. I'm also certain he made the overall process much less stressful for us by setting clear guidelines about how we communicated with him and by maintaining a calming and positive demeanor throughout the process. I have also worked with Skip when looking for and buying a property and had an equally outstanding experience. I found Skip to be incredibly patient as we searched long and hard for a property that met some very specific criteria. During our search he provided excellent insights on many properties including their features and potential advantages and problems. He also helped us assess their value. Most important to me, he never tried to push or direct us toward a property. He simply pointed out properties that he thought might be of interest and discussed them with us in a very unbiased way, allowing us to make our own judgements based on what we valued. Because of these experiences, I have been telling everyone I can how lucky we were to have Skip as our realtor and what a great job you he does. She will make your mortgage process a nightmare! I was charged $2000 for the "mortgage orientation fee" and "underwriting fee" which most lenders don't charge. What worse is they will tend to give you a higher rate even you have a great credit score. After all, they will sell your mortgage to a terrible mortgage management company in a few days. Unlike Mr. Endicott, I believe in progress of humans, not just a paycheck. Some things cannot be taught. I then called Drew Wahlund who is the listing agent. His line was busy.
