Our daughter started there when she was just 8 months old, and from day one, we've been blown away by the love, care, and thoughtfulness of the entire staff, the babies absolutely thrive under Miss Gloria's care! The teachers are absolutely special, they are kind, nurturing, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child. It's such a comforting feeling to drop her off each day knowing she's in the best hands. We also really love RCD's play-based learning approach. It's been amazing to watch our daughter grow and she's made huge leaps academically and developmentally. She absolutely adores going to "school" and we can already see how it's laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. The facility is great, not brand new but very safe and setup great for the kids. The community is warm and welcoming, and on top of all that RCD is actually affordable for the quality of care and education they provide compared to other options in the area, it honestly checks every box. The warmth of the teachers and staff at RCD made us feel like part of a family during our 1.5 years there, starting in mid-2022, from the guppies class all the way up to the Bees class. Our departure was prompted by a relocation, though we had hoped to stay until pre-k at least. The genuine care the teachers showed for the children was palpable. Many of them have been with the school for years, some even for a decade or more, reflecting a stable and professional environment. They knew each child individually, and our kids genuinely looked forward to going to school every day. We owe a debt of gratitude to Director Ms. Wazham and teachers such as Ms. Gloria, Ms. Simona, Ms. Swetha, Ms. Kaitlyn, Mr. Jack, Ms. Erica, and many others. Their dedication brought joy to our family and facilitated our child's smooth transition into the school and, later, to his current one. We started bringing our daughter to RLC 18 months ago after a horrible experience at another daycare down the street. Her previous daycare was an over-priced, state of the art facility, but the teachers were not all there. The day I pulled her out of there, she had just turned 12 months and was sitting in the corner of the playground by herself with a huge bite mark under her eye and arm. Her teacher looked at me and literally said "kids bite.. that's what they do". Since my wife and I both work full time, we had to find another day care quickly. After meeting the RLC director and staff, we decided to enroll her and haven't looked back. My daughter is now 2.5 years old and has progressed incredibly quickly. Her social skills are highly advanced for her age. All of the teachers and staff at RLC are wonderful and have been nothing but loving and caring toward her. We also have an 9 month old and the infant teachers are incredible. Both of my daughter's love attending RLC and we completely trust them with their care and development. RLC recently welcomed Ms. Wazhma as the new director. We love her weekly updates with pictures and videos. She has a true passion for the children and we are excited for the future of RLC. read more

I can't say enough good things about Resurrection Lutheran Daycare. My kids have been attending for almost two years and it has grown to become a family for us. My family has been through a lot of difficult times lately and the teachers and staff have supported them through it. My kids are thriving! As a local educator, I was looking for a play based program that could support my kiddos emotionally and help them to grow both socially and academically. As a single parent, I also wanted something affordable and close to our East Bay home. Resurrection provides that safe and stable environment for my family. Most of the teachers are wonderful, but the administration is incompetent and values profit over the care of the children and staff. We had to pull our child from the program after an incident. Fortunately, it led us to another preschool with a much better environment. Do yourself a favor and stay away! read more

We came to Ressurection to follow the new and current director, Sharon Collins. You cannot go wrong with the care, dedication and expertise that Sharon has with little ones. While there was a turn over period recently, I believe that there comes a time when staff has become to "comfortable" with how things are run and cannot accept the better change set before them. That being said, my son is in Ms. Debbies 4's class and I could not be any happier with her. She is loving, caring, fun, compassionate, understanding, knowledgeable, happy and treats every child as if they were her own. I would hope that any parent would look for these attributes for their child care. While there are changes being implemented in the Child Care/Preschool division of this school, I can assure you with Sharon Collins behind it, it will be amazing and be there to serve the needs of our children. read more

If I had a zero star rating I'd use that. Totally disappointed in the quality of care. There is none. The director is so very unprofessional. The "teachers" are busy with anything but taking care of the children. Overheard them discussing a personal matter about another parent in my presence. Very tacky. If that parent, who is getting a divorce, needs help fighting for their case, they should probably hire someone to spy at the office because I heard all about their custody dispute. Ouch. Unreturned phone calls and not answering phones. I can't get anyone to help me. Maybe I should be the one getting the divorce? Much energy is being spent on that parent. I sure hope things improve. My daughter has been going here for years and I can't say enough good things about this preschool. We've been in Livermore for a year and a half now and decided to keep her here instead of somewhere closer because of all it has to offer. The director and all of the teachers are extremely kind, patient and loving towards each and every one of the children. My daughter had some separation anxiety when starting preschool and it was very comforting knowing that she was in great hands. She's come to think of her teachers and friends at school as family. My daughter Anna has attended this school for 2 years. Last year was a Pre-K class with miss Sara who is an amazing and extremely loving person. Anna progressed socially and academically at a phenomenal speed.This year my daughter is in kindergarten at Dublin Elementary and she did not get in to their after school program. I was fortunate enough that Resurrection would take her for their after school care since she was within their age requirements. There is a good family vibe here, all the employees are very personable and you can tell they love what they do. The director Miss Sharon is the nicest person I've ever met and very professional. I've felt so comfortable having Anna in their care. They provide snacks and do all kinds projects and activities with the kids. You can buy school lunch which "pizza fridays" became a routine school lunch day. The facility is kept very clean and the landscaping is always cut nicely. The church also holds free movie nights every so often in the chapel which has been a fun experience. I would highly recommend this preschool to any of my closest friends and family along with anyone else who is looking to have their child cared for by good hearted loving people. read more

Our son started here at 3 months old - he is now almost 15 months. He is absolutely THRIVING. His teachers are WONDERFUL - he is so excited to see them every morning, and has a hard time leaving in the afternoons. It's been a hard year for our family with my husband deploying a lot and my complicated work schedule, and the staff at Resurrection Lutheran have really taken care of our family as a whole and shown us so much love. In looking for childcare, whether it be from infant through 4 year old, I am amazed by this program, staff and especially the director Mrs. Collins. I knew of Ms. Collins at her prior pre-school and was happy to find her here! I've found her to be a straight, direct and very competent provider. Her heart is proven to be in the children's best interest and this shows, not only with her interaction with the children, but the interaction of the staff of teachers and aide's working at RLC! This isn't your typical day-care that is just glorified baby sitting, this is an actual learning environment for the children. You don't seem to find that as often as you would expect when looking for a child care provider! As a parent of 5, I couldn't recommend an organization or staff more highly! read more

My toddler has been going to the preschool at RLCD since March of this year. It has been only 4 months now, but the relationship we have established with the staff feels like we have been going there for many years. This school has such a lovely team of dedicated staff and teachers.We get weekly updates and activities planned for the week ahead from the Director and class teachers. My kid absolutely enjoys every single day she spends at school. Teachers play a phenomenal role in creating fun and educational activities throughout the curriculum. They have excellent communication when it comes to sending updates or reminders. The mobile app is simply awesome and we get photos and videos from their daily activities. The summer months activities are packed with fun and excitement. The teachers stay on top of any messages we send. I am sad that my daughter has only one more year in this wonderful school, I wish I had sent her to this school sooner. Every event is organized with perfection and I have never seen anywhere else where the staff are so professional and they all come together to make the events a grand success. They don't overburden the kids, but the same time, kids learn a lot every single day.I am surprised why the school do not have a 5 star rating. Any negative remarks are sure from a very long time back. The current management is simply the best and very approachable. I imagine choosing who will care for your precious child in your absence COULD be overwhelming experience, fraught with uncertainty and anxiety. That was not my experience. From my initial phone conversation with the director, Sharon Collins, Resurrection Lutheran Child Care Director, to the facility tour, meeting the staff and talking to other parents, I felt confident our 3 month old daughter would be in capable and loving hands. Over the last 2 years, I have been so impressed by: - The quality of care & caliber of the staff: They clearly consider the needs of each individual child first. It is more than a "day care" - it's a place where personalized nurturing, learning and growing take place. I am amazed by what our 2 year old can do! She talks about her friends and teachers often and is excited to join the fun each morning! In addition to loving on the kids, the staff is so supportive of the families. As a busy working mom, there have been some mornings where I needed the hug and "you can do it!" - and they have always delivered! :) This is been a place of encouragement for our whole family! - The sense of community among the families: Just a nice group of people! Due to the high retention rate of children throughout the program, the families get to know one another and there is a sense that each child is special to the whole community. - The frequent communication: In the infant/toddler section, we get more than just a checklist of what activities were done. The notes section is filled with personal information about how "her" day went. The weekly emails from the teacher and general communications from the Director are informative also. If you are simply looking for a day care provider, there are many options. Let me start with saying that I do not send my child to this school, I went to pick up a friends daughter and after seeing the kind of place my friend allows her child to go to, I have lost all respect for her as a parent and person. The facility is disgusting, the garbage was overflowing, there were piles upon piles of junk on every shelf I could see. One of the teachers was actually cleaning after her shift, she said, and I quote "this is what happens when I stay and clean after work, we can actually see this table now! I don't remember the last time we could. Look at this diaper (they label the diapers with the children's names) he hasn't been in diapers in years!" Why doesn't the director schedule time for the teachers (or anyone) to clean the place??! The teacher was actually so bothered by the mess that she was willing to stay and clean without pay! Not only is the facility a wreck, I didn't see a clean face in the place. Every child had snot crusted all over their cheeks. If the school can't do something as simple as clean up or wipe a child's nose what else is wrong? (besides the fact that I was standing right next to an uncovered electrical outlet!) GIANT RED FLAGS!! Not to mention after peeking outside I saw all of the teachers sitting in chairs, talking to each other instead of playing with, talking to or even WATCHING the children. I would NEVER subject a child to this place, you shouldn't either. read more

This school has been amazing for my 2 year old. He is thriving socially and academically (for a 2 year old). The teachers are engaged and caring. He loves going to school and to think 5 months ago when he started I couldn't peel him off me. The director is so loving and helpful. She is always willing to work with you and understanding. My 3 kids went to this school and I was so impressed with the teachers and the care they received. They were all very well prepared for Kindergarten and found that they had learned most of what was taught in Kindergarten even before they started. That took a lot of pressure off them academically and they really were able enjoy feeling capable. We continue to support the school and appreciate what an important role it played in their lives.
