We had a wonderful experience with Safari Kid. What impressed us most was their incredibly warm and friendly staff. They made a real effort to accommodate our needs and limitations, which is something we truly valued and don't often see in similar places. After only touring the facility, I will let you know what I witnessed. 1. The facility is dirty. From the floors, walls and the bathrooms the children use. I cannot imagine what the kitchen looks like where they prep the snacks. The paint was noticeably chipping off the walls and floor molding. It is not kept up like many other facilities in the area. 2. The outdoor play yard has minimal shade. They do have sun sails up but they do not provide proper shade for the children. 3. I didn't see any children smiling or having fun when we looked into the 2s, 3s and 4s rooms. It was a quiet room, but not in a good way. 4. There were many other safety concerns but the main issue I saw that needs to be addressed was that there were clear wall tacks used on the hallways to hold up art and other things. Toddlers walk the halls and it's a huge safety hazard to them. Tacks always fall off walls and it just takes one toddler to toss it into their mouth in a split second. Using tacks and tapes on the walls is definitely not to code and a violation of safety standards. 5. They are planning on adding infants to the room that has children up to age 2. I haven't seen this done anywhere else. It's a health and safety hazard to have infants with 2 year olds. Do not send your infants here. 6. This was the least racial diverse facility I have toured. It might not be a deal breaker for some, but it is definitely something to consider as it is something to give most parents pause. 7. While the lady who gave the tour was nice enough. She mainly walked me to the rooms and set me down in her office and asked if I had questions. She didn't tell me about their curriculum, enrichment opportunities, ratios, or what makes them stand out against the many other preschools in the area. Perhaps it's because they do not. I am surprised parents send their children to such an expensive facility that is lacking. Parents should do surprise visits to check on the wellness of their kids here. Visiting this place made me so sad for the children who are stuck in these rooms all day-- especially the room with the 2 year olds. read more

We absolutely love this school! Our daughter started here in preschool, and our son joined the after-school program when he began Transitional Kindergarten. From the very beginning, we've had a wonderful experience. One of the things we appreciate the most is how excited and happy our kids are to go to school every morning. As a parent, that says a lot! The teachers are warm, welcoming, and truly care about the children. They take the time to know each student and support them in every way possible. The campus is beautiful and well-maintained, with a large playground where kids can run, play, and just be kids. Safari kid is one of the best school in East bay . Their team is highly dedicated and caring towards the children . My daughter goes there from a year and so . She is super happy excited to go and learn everyday . I feel it's important to warn parents of children with special needs to avoid this place. Before enrolling my son, I was very clear that he has ADHD and asked whether they had strategies or experience to support children like him. The staff assured me they did, which gave me confidence. But after just one single day, they called to tell me he should be pulled out, and during that call they admitted they are not trained for these situations and are currently understaffed. If that's the truth, they should have been honest from the start, not mislead us into believing our child would be supported. And if they are understaffed, they should stop enrolling more kids until they have the enough capacity to care for all the kids. What shocked me most was how quickly they gave up on my kid, without even discussing possible ways to support him. This is not a school, it's a business that puts convenience and profit above everything. With so many families on the waitlist, they clearly feel they can discard any child who requires extra patience. Children with ADHD, or any special needs, deserve patience, understanding, and time to adjust. I can understand it may be hard for those without experience or knowledge to know how to support them, but that only makes it more critical for programs to be honest about their limits. If your child requires even the slightest bit of extra care, do not come to this place. They are not equipped, not capable, and will waste your time while hurting your child's confidence. Families deserve far better. read more

We were looking at multiple options to send my daughter to a pre school in dublin. When we looked at the setup Safari kids have it really checked all marks, good place, open spaces in the classes, good lighting, staff and teachers were really welcoming, curriculum was also on par with other schools. After 2 years of the experience, i can say we were so happy that we made that decision. My daughter is happy every day she goes to school, the activities in the school are really engaging and i can see she has really grown emotionally, socially, academically in those 2 years. There is good engagement with parents, events at school that keep kids engaged. My daughter had her baby shower at this venue. This place is perfect for any event. From the outside it may not look very big, but it is pretty cavernous inside. Chandra, the owner, was so welcoming and kind throughout the whole process. He made the everything so easy. They provide set up and have options of hiring their team for decorating and anything else you need. Everything is available for your event to include a play area for kids. Our 3 yr old son has been going to Safari Kid School for 5 months and we have been extremely impressed with the school, the admin (Ms Gagan, the Director, is very good, approachable and responsive), all the teachers (Ms Ravali, Ms Miti, Ms Moushami to name just a few). Each and every teacher exudes such a passion for what they do and they each have such a welcoming demeanor. Every teacher seems to know every child's name, and always welcome them with so much love! Our son has a very cautious personality and each teacher has approached and gotten to know him in a way that makes him feel comfortable (and also puts us at ease!).. It has been a great opportunity for our son to socialize in a safe and comfortable environment. I really wish I had discovered Safari sooner.. I love that the school is structured with both free play/exploration and also with organized group learning circles. It is a large and clean facility with good safety protocols. One of my favorite things about Safari Kids is that we receive a weekly email update (end of week) with pictures and details of all the learning and fun activities their week was filled with! They also use the ProCare app so its very easy to get in touch when required. Safari Kids has an amazing summer camp program! Themes every week. Cooking classes that are easy and fun for the kids. They even have on-site field trips every Friday where they hire petting zoos and magicians or rent out water slides! My 5 yo daughter loved it here and still talks about it! Unfortunately, we moved out of Dublin and I'm sad that I didn't discover Safari Kids sooner. The facility is spacious, new looking, and clean. The play ground has a nice play structure with sails to provide shade. They send out the weekly theme and activities before the start of each week, so you feel completely informed. I wish I could give more stars. We have been sending our 6 year old and 3 year old here for almost 1 year and are absolutely impressed by the dedication and empathy of the teachers and the founders. The founders Mr Chandra and Ms Kiran go out of their way to do anything for the parents. I got laid off at work and after almost 4 months found work and so we couldnot pickup our daughter from her school and when I called and spoke to Mr Chandra he arranged for a special pickup person just for my daughter. I'm so glad I found Safari kid for my daughter. The staff is great and the class structure was perfect for my busy 21-month old. The school sends you weekly updates and photos so you can see what your kid learned during the week. Drop off and pick up is very safe. Parents use an app to check kids in and out. Every child has a temperature check at the door, all staff and children over 2 years old wear masks. My daughter loved going here and her vocabulary and social skills blossomed while she was there. Great pre-school, my daughter has been enrolled since June 2021. Easy paperwork/registration and the administration was very responsive leading up to the first day. Every day since, the teachers and administration have been very attentive and responsive. We use a ProCare app. It makes communicating with the teachers and admin super easy and fast. We use it to sign our daughter in and out of school, and I think you can use it to pay tuition too but I just cut an old fashioned check. - The teachers are really sweet and loving. - The covid protocols are fantastic. The kids are safely spaced out and always masked. - The playground is new and nicely shaded. - I LOVE their weekly reports, it's incredibly detailed complete with photos. And sometimes they upload daily photos into the app. - Best of all, my daughter is learning a lot, b/c I ask her about the content after the weekly updates and she'll tell me more about what they learned, show me her ASL (sign language hand gestures), etc. - They did all kinds of fun activities like face painting, balloon twisting, magic shows and a petting zoo came! I dont know if this is b/c it's a summer program and if the regular school normally has all these fun activities but regardless, my daughter LOVES Safari Kid and my son who is in 3rd grade is super jealous of his sister and begs to attend Safari Kid. LOL - The only thing I'd love to see this school do is offer some Spanish classes (however, I think it's in their after school program for the older kids). - And when covid is more relaxed, I would love to be able to take advantage of their lunch program so I can stop packing lunches. They did offer this previously but with covid it's safer for everyone to bring their own food. read more

My 3 years old daughter recently started her school. As parents we were worried about her settling down in new environment especially after two years of covid where she has limited social life. But teachers and staff have not only taken care of my daughter but even us parents by keeping us informed about everything. As a parent - 1. I want to know how my kid is doing - they keep us informed about her progress. Teachers are very approachable through chat/messages. We as parents should be respectful of the teacher's time and hence should prefer chat option. 2. I want to see my kid in school - We get link to photos every Friday and believe me that is the most beautiful thing. Even my kid's grandparents wait for Friday photos which bring smile to all of us :) 3. I want to see my kid learn and grow - though it's just few weeks, we can see the growth in my kid. She has much better control in writing. She is becoming more social and most importantly her confidence is increasing. 4. Worksheets that my kid does - worksheets are sent home. 5. Celebrating birthdays, functions , etc - we have seen birthday celebrations and it is nice to see that teachers are making it so much fun for kids. My kid love these celebration. I believe they also celebrate all festivals. Really looking forward to them! To summarize , this is great place for kids to start their educational journey and this place is great because of amazing people managing it.
