When i showed up, the manager, Giselle , told me if i want to use my groupon, i have to purchase frame and glass. She then told me that i should go home until i can afford glass, find something i like, or purchase a pair that they have. I told her that i would like to know if my eyes had gotten worst since my current pair is less than 2 years old and was $800. The manager then told me i should come back tomorrow or another day. I told her that i would like to see the optometrist since i had taken off work and beat traffic to be there, she told me to come back some other time and left me standing next to the glasses. The groupon says eye exam and $299 credit toward purchasing glasses for a deal of $59.99. NO where in there says that I have to purchase glass or could not see optometrist. After she cranked her numbers similar lens and frame as the one i am wearing, her price came out to be another $900. I am upset because i did not get to see the optometrist yet forced to buy glasses. When that did not happen, the manager went back to her seat, told me to come back some other time and stopped talking to me. I left work early for the appointment and i am not very happy about this manner of customer services. Even if i have to spend a thousand dollar for new glasses, i will not spend it there. SAD.

Both the doctor and his entire staff were amazing--knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and understanding. I didn't end up purchasing my frames here, since I needed multiple pairs and was looking for cheaper options, and the clinic understood and never put any pressure or attitude toward my decision. He has very nice bed-manners too. He is in a new office now, Eye to Eye on 432 W 19th St. and works only on Wednesday. Three days ago, I realized that I had a stye and it was painful. He was fully booked for the coming Wednesday. However, when his assistant told him that I had a painful stye, he made time to see me at noon! He is an awesome person. So he gave me a good treatment and taught me how to prevent it from happening again. I love that he shares his knowledge and explains things well. I highly recommend Dr. Ullman.
