Dr. Kern was great at adhering to my issue with my problem spots in which I wanted to perfect. I had multiple procedures done at Image Enhance Center and will continually visit IEC. I was there for TruSculpt and was impressed by results when I was sure that there was nothing that could prepare me for upcoming media presentations. I personally wasn't ready for procedures that were more invasive at the time and TruSculpt showed me my potential. I had a flatter tummy and an added benefit was that my stretch marks after 3 children were virtually gone. Once I didn't see any result like I was told I would see, I called for him to do the corrections which would've cost me $500 and was told he now practice under a different name and that price couldn't be honored. Excellent microdermabrasion! The aesthetician ladies are all very professional yet so friendly and welcoming even when you have a Groupon! This is not a day spa - this is an actual medical office and the difference in equipment and skill shows. They even show you the filter when they're done - it's gross to look at but most places don't. Looking at the filter is a real testament to how "clean" your skin really is. I've had microderm at other locations in Houston and Image Enhancement is by far my favorite and has been my best experience. I was introduced to them by a Groupon as well and I've been back 3x since my first appointment. Sona is wonderful and has the most soothing voice, she always puts me to sleep (in a good way)! She's very attentive and notices changes in my skin between appointments and makes recommendations accordingly. I also appreciate that they are not pushy with products like other facilities are. I don't feel compelled to buy products but I do buy the products and have enjoyed the skin care regimen that I did purchase. Parking can be difficult depending on the time of day since the office is in a multipurpose building. There is parking underneath the building but I have had a hard time finding spots when I have my appointments so I park in the lot next door and walk over. Just make sure you don't park in the reserved bank spots! I would highly recommend this facility and look forward to being a patient for many years! read more

This have been the worst experience I have ever been in.Dr.Kern is the most rudest,disregarding dr I even seen. I went in for a liposuction for 3 areas back in March,needless to say I'm very very disappointed and most highly Not satisfied!!!!! Worst experience I have ever had. The NP was talking too much and wasn't paying attention while putting C-Furlic Acid on my face and it rolled into my left eye. YES, acid ran into my eye. She was very nonchalant about the situation and just had me dunce my eye with water. She was supposed to be the specialist, so I didn't second guess her. I woke up the following day with NO eye dye in that eye! Got an emergency appointment with my regular eye doctor who thought my cornea was separating from my eye and recommend me to a specialist who helped to an extent. It took me 5 doctors to diagnose the issue and start treatment. Treatment consisted of many eye exams ( used to have 20/20, now 20/80) in that eye. I've had test troughs clogged, prednisone eyedrops, 5 live membranes placed on the eye in hopes that would facilitate the healing and now have to wear a very expensive "sclera" lens hoping that helps. Started that back in February and eyesight is still declining and when the lens isn't in I have to put eye drops in my eye every 10 minutes and I'm in severe pain. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. She didn't even call the doctor on staff to let him look at it and make recommendations?? Just a situation the I had/have to endure and hope no one else has to experience this. Thanks read more

My review is watered down, leaving some detail out due to how long it would be if i don't. I went in to see Sona for a routine Microderm a year ago. She told me my face was too broken out to do a Microderm and that she wanted to do a chemical peel instead (never had one done before). She said that the peel would go deep down a clean out my pores and that I was going to love the results. Well, half way through the painful procedure (which made my lungs burn from the get-go and had to stop several times to get the chemical away from my face so I could get some fresh air) she told me that I was going to want to moisturize really well, because my skin might be extra dry and to avoid makeup for a day. Then as I was leaving she mentioned again to moisturize because I may experience "frosting". A reference she never mentioned until then and one I had never heard before. The first thing I did when I got out to my car and in the daylight was to look to see what was on my face because it still felt like it was burning (something I did mention to her while there) and noticed several black spots on my face. I can't even describe the appearance of the top layer of my skin. I called with my concerns and was asked to drive back (45-50 minutes one way) and pick up some special lotion that they recommend for use after this type of peel (wasn't mentioned when I was there at my appointment). When I got there, I was accused, in the lobby, of picking at my face (which I had not been doing for fear of causing an infection and just plain common sense). Very unprofessional. I was given the lotion and shown how to properly apply it (pat on instead of rub on). I spend the next several nights after the procedure waking up on and off due to the pain that I'd experience every time I rolled onto my side (a force of habit). I wasn't able to go outside for a week. Couldn't go out in public for at least 1.5 weeks to avoid stares and whispers and just plain embarrassment. I couldn't even smile for the first 5 days following the procedure because of the pain of the burns. What did I walk away with in the end? SCARS and CRATERS on my face. To make a long story short, I went in again, probably a month or so after the procedure and was recommended by Sona to schedule an appointment to do micro-needling (which has a week of down time... who has time for that?). I had to cancel my appointment because my son broke his hand and had to take care of him at the time but decided to wait to reschedule until I felt like this one patch by my nose healed better, which by the way, has never had the same texture or feel since before the procedure. So about 2 weeks ago I called to finally reschedule my appointment because again, getting a week of downtime isn't easy for me to come by, and although the patch of skin by my nose is still the same, it's not super red like it use to be. I was told I'd get a call back the following Tuesday, which I did, but was unable to take the call. Called them back a day or so later and was told Sona would contact me so we could work out the details. I have since called twice and was told both times that she was told to call. I went ahead put my name down on the books to go in on Monday. But I really wanted to talk to Sona to go over the details of the procedure before my appointment so I decided to call on a day I was told she normally works but was told she wasn't in. They said they'd text her and see about her calling me from home (which she had done after the peel a year ago). I have still yet to hear from her. If my experience with IEC ends well then I will change my review. But just know that if you run into any problems with them they may not be willing to work with you and may give you the runaround, no matter the damage. Or better yet, accuse you of picking at your face in the lobby/waiting area! read more

I bought a Groupon for 2 microdermabrasions and custom masks/facials due to the high reviews on yelp. I called and had to book a 5pm appointment for two weeks out because they were booked for the week. I was really looking forward to the appointment since it's been awhile since my last facial. I was able to leave work early so I called Image Enhancement Center to confirm my appointment but it was really to see if they could see me sooner than my 5 pm appointment. The person who answered the phone said they didn't have a 5pm appointment today and that all the staff had left already. She looked me up by my first and last name and couldn't find any reserved future appointments under my name. I was so upset/disappointed that they didn't have any records of my appointment, but at the same time relieved because I didn't drive all the way there to find out. She offered to book me for 5pm the next day but then I would have to make childcare/work arrangements in order to get there on time. I'm so disappointed and upset that I don't want to deal with it again or even risk the chance it might happen again. Yes, they do have 5 good reviews but those reviews were written in 2011-2014. There are too many other comparable businesses in the area with better customer service to tolerate this. Groupon gave me a full refund due to this poor experience/customer service. I bought a groupon for a microdermabrasion and redeemed it yesterday with Sona. The spa was very nice and clean, the girls at the desk were extremely nice and attentive and the microdermabrasion itself was great! She really took her time doing my skin and asked me about my main concerns on my face (which is dryness and my enlarged pores). She used a mask afterwards that made my face so soft and waking up today my pores look less noticeable. I'm really happy with the service and would defiantly return. Their prices are some of the best I've seen also. Would recommend! The ONE thing I would like to see change would be that they do extractions before hand. read more

I had liposuction done last June, during the procedure I felt every ounce of pain to the point I was crying and asking them to stop. He first started on my left leg, he finally stopped and asked the nurse to give me two more pills. After the surgery which was a terrible experience, the aftermath was even worse. I did not receive the appropriate compression garment for 2 weeks! I bled so much for about 3 weeks on my leg incisions (I had 10 incisions total). I went for my follow up and I had an indention on my side which was almost a dip , the doctor told me he could do a fat transfer but I refused! After a few months went by you can see the tissue scarring on my legs and discoloration and the muscle damage is horrific! It has now been 9 months and I still suffer with abnormalities from the liposuction. Do not use this doctor, pay more money and go to someone who will not butcher your body. read more

I scheduled an appointment using my groupon one month before the groupon expired. First time visit, but have had microdermabrasions and facials at other salons. Received two call-backs due to their schedule conflicts. Finally got a workable time for two weeks later. I called them back the following day to confirm that my appointment was posted correctly. Arrived early to complete paperwork, just as the doctor was leaving the office. Esthetician was pleasant and efficient. No soothing music in the background. Microdermabrasion limited to face only. In my other experiences, esthetician cleaned below jaw/neck areas. Did not show how much "dead" skin removed either. No attempt to remove blackheads. When I looked in the mirror with the low light, I thought my blackheads were gone, but when I got home, I removed two blackheads I could see. Mask was pleasant and relaxing. Overall, my face felt cleaner. Would I return? Probably not. Have received better and more thorough and meticulous treatments at other salons. By using Groupon to search for the best salon for future treatments, this salon would not top my list. read more

I must 'TELL THE WORLD' about my amazing microdermabrasion treatment that I received just yesterday at the Katy location of Image Enhancement Center by Jennifer. I've had this treatment only a handful of times in my past but they pale in comparison to how thorough and evenly abrasive she applied the treatment. I felt a bit tingly in the heat afterward while walking the dog in the early evening but my skin is reaping the benefits of drinking up the products that I use, including vitamin C serum, which is a key antioxidant to use for your anti-aging arsenal. Jennifer treats as if she were in the chair getting the treatment and talks you through every step of what she's doing and checks your comfort level as well as provides a host of tips to maintain healthy, younger looking (and acting) skin!
